Its not really that complicated. They had plans for him in Kenobi before. This is following the same pattern. Defects and goes to look for Obi-Wan to make amends. Cody's priority isn't a clone rebellion, it's what he did to Obi-Wan that haunts him, even if it wasn't his fault.. Lucasfilm clearly have plans for him otherwise they wouldn't have brought him back. But more likely whenever they get around to doing one last Kenobi story whether that is a movie or season.
Maybe the real commander Cody is the Codys' we made along the way.
I for some reason imagine Cody default dancing on Tatooine as he shoots Imperials.
Echo is alive, he was seen at the finale (Bad Batch: Season Three) with Emerie after he and the other Clone prisoners escaped Mount Tantis. I am sure he lived all the way up to the events of New Hope.

we don't know how long he lived, but he was probably working with Rex during the time of the end credits scene.

I really wanted to see Cody team up with the Bad Batch again. We know they worked together during the Clone Wars but we barely saw any of it because Cody was injured. I'd love a new show with Rex, Howzer, Gregor, and Echo. What were they up to during the events of the Bad Batch? We saw a little but not enough.

My late Mom as an young adult saw Star Wars in theaters and I was born in 1995 and was raised on star wars becuase she loved it and all sci-fi and fantsay moivies shows and books... So I grew up with the clones as the first star wars movie I saw in teathers was attack of the clones and it's still my favoite of all 9... and I loved the EU games that came in that time saw the OG clone wars show when it first aired and during that time were the clones were fleshed out. And Cody was always my favoite named clone because he was obi-wan's Clone attache, his armor and his personality in the EU and in canon back then he was cool headed and mission focused and made a good team with his Jedi general my favoite Jedi... So I was shocked but was not surprised when Order 66 came though and I was not spoiled on it as we saw it in theatures because that was very him... and every thing he was in after including the bad batch is very him... Honestly his writing is massively under rated... Like I don't know a single thing he is in were he isn't written well... So the chips debate did not effect me as Cody would have still done it even if he had taken his chip out... Even if then he was to miss the shot. So yeah I was an OG Cody fan and still am as he is such a great clone!
I don't think he'd ever have followed order 66, given that he was actually around to see five's and new him well, and watched him as he plunged down the "rabbit hole" looking for some reason, some answer to this "thing inside his head," inside all their heads. I think of him in that moment, but I think that a Man like Cody would of had trouble trying to control himself, but he'd have overcome it in the end, as he "connected the dot's," with five's, other "defective clones" turning on the Jedi for no reason and lead a Clone rebellion on the spot.
Well, that's what I'd LIKE TO THINK would happen, but you know, Disney and all ...
By the way, sorry to hear about your Mum young person. I have children a few years older than you, and I don't know how they'd be, or how even I'd be, without that wonderful Mother of theirs. I am very sorry for your loss, but she's left you a gift, the gift of "love of great literature," and writing. And if you don't mind me saying, you do pretty well with penmanship yourself, mate. Which I am a self published writer of fiction now and she was able to read and give me advice on how to be an author and I'll like to believe one of the last things she read was one of my works as I sent her an email with it the night before she passed away.

Tales Of The Clones? Half of the show could be about Rex saving Wolffe and Cody with Cody making a sacrifice to save the others at the end and half possibly about an older Omega or some other clone from Clone Wars during the war
Honestly, it would be kinda cool for them to just leave it open-ended. He could've become a CX trooper after his mission with Crosshair. Died in another mission. Abandoned and been hunted down. Died on Tantiss offscreen. It's not what they'll do, but playing up the mystery aspect of things like that, having missing characters, killing off more characters (permanently), and villains that stay villains through death and defeat. Cody is extremely important to Clone Force 99 yet we only got to see him in 2 episodes, and only Crosshair got to see him. I really hope the next series featuring the clones will have the last moment of the Cody is no more involved, he really deserves to be a feature/main character, the stories he could tell, and the missions he could coordinate while taking part in them... It’s worth pointing out that rebels ends before the battle of Yavin and the destruction of the Death Star. Additionally the rebellion doesn’t become a fully fledged fighting organisation until after rebels. Therefore, there could be an opportunity where Rex, Wolfe and Cody reunite post-rebels to be involved in an entire new campaign/conflict on another system separate from the Lothal system. Maybe we see Rex’s insurgency skills and Cody and Wolffe’s infantry organisation and training skills be put to use in another rebel cell. Or perhaps even, different version of the clone rebellion which occurs halfway through the civil war and acts as a further destabilising event in the empire.

Tech is believed to have died in the last episode of Season 2, NOT Echo. Echo is alive and still part of the Batch.
I would like for Cody to briefly be captured and brainwashed into serving the Empire again before Rex comes and rescues him.
I was worried that Ram-fart (😂)had disappeared him and sent him off to be a Tantiss victim in some way or another, but if that had been the case *former* admiral R would have been floating about it, so…at least we know it was a legit AWOL

I feel like he exiled alone on a farm or somewhere due to the Guilt of him killing is own Commander (Kenobi) and after the bad batch episode.
I think, that Dave Filoni will use clones like Cody and/or Wolffe to make a series "Tales of the clones" and like the other stories with Ahsoka and Dooku, tells the stories of those two clones. And if this series is like the other two Stories of, then Cody will probably die like Baris or Dooku eventually and Wollfee will live like we see in Rebels like with Ahsoka and Morgan in Mandalorian/Ahsoka

He’s living peacefully in the outer rim no one is looking for him now he’s just another clone, smuggling weapons for the rebels
No ideas on what happened to commander Cody and how commander Wolfe joins Rex. We only get a quick reunion, and Wolfe questioning why clone brothers are being killed.

I don't think so Cody sacrifing himself will be justified. Echo would do that which will make him being honored as Ep5 Rebel base named after him.
Cody on the other hand would be captured by Empire and turned into first generation of dark troppers. Rex would be forced to kill his friend to save others which will justify his PTSD about the war and Cody in The Rebels.
they really didn't have to bring cody back in the TBB. He was brought back for the purpose of furthering plot by showing Crosshair's loyalty to the Empire. If they follow through with every character the storyline will go to dogs. It's a big galaxy, and this isn't Cody's story
When you put a gun on a table and it didn't shoot during the story, it's called the bad writing.
And you can arm a division with the guns that didn't shoot in the Bad Batch
maybe Dave Filoni doesn't care nearly as much about Cody as he did for Barris in light of her unique connection to his prize pupil Ahsoka. Just a thought.

Unpopular opinion but I dont like that cody defected... I dont know - I just liked the old explanations that rex defected because he took after anakin and cody stayed because he took after kenobi and was much more by the book about things.
The clones are a reflection of their jedi generals. Obi-Wan is also more by the book. But by the book doesn't mean turning a blind eye to evil. Cody isn't a bad guy and sometimes even by the books men do what is right when they have to. His original story was boring anyway, just left on kamino bitter training stormtrooper. This sets up something more interesting and fresh if they wish to use old cody in future.
