Eduard EDU At first he was trying to get a delay of game penalty to move back a few yards so they could have more room to punt the ball but the jets declined it so they couldn’t and that makes the clock keep running so the next play they tried to do a false start to move back but they declined that also so it was kinda at a standstill.

He wasn't trolling them. He had been trying to get the NFL to change this rule for so long and they refused to. So he proved his point and showed how annoying it would be on a game where it clearly didn't matter. They were up 33 to 0 And there was zero chance of the Jets winning, it was the perfect time to demonstrate in agame without somebody accusing them of using the trick to win.
Then at the NFL still didn't change it, and somebody used it against his team when it actually mattered and made a difference of course he was pissed.

The nfl probably will go into the rule book and make sure that a flag will stop the clock and not keep it running cause it can be use so deadly in a way haha.

Pablo Belichick is trying to foul so his punter gets more room to kick; the punter gives the ball to the other side because if you don't pass the 1st down mark within 4 downs(turns) ball gets turned over to the other team on the spot
If the punter has more room to kick he can kick the ball to be stopped at the 1 yard line - if he overshoots it into the endzone the ball starts at 20 no matter what

Actually, if you notice the game clock never stopped running after the penalties were declined. Bill wasted about a minute and 20 seconds off the clock without comprising field position. Kudos to him for finding these loopholes, and it just demonstrates his deep knowledge of not just xs and os, but the rule book too.

It's not really evil though. He said after the game that this mechanism is silly and should be eliminated. He picked garbage time when it didn't matter at all to demonstrate the flaw, and is probably hoping that this demonstration plus his comment after the game will lead to a change. He could've saved this exploitation for a moment when it really counts, but he used it in garbage time. It's quite honorable.

This was my first ever Pats game and I loved every minute of it. The jets fans were also amazing to watch a game with, great sports even though their team wasn’t winning. But seeing this happen, i knew Bill was responsible for it, and it might’ve been the best things I’ve ever seen. Also I started a Brady chant after he left the game in the 4th. Great day 11/10 would recommend watching the Patriots live
