      This just proves to people using excuse of they can't get big or train because they can't afford the gym or some other lame excuse. U don't need anything else other than ur body and correct accurate knowledge of the body and right exercises that can help u to build enough upper, lower body and core strength to then be able to do a wide range of calisthenic workouts. With focus, determination, desire and last and most importantly be prepared to work hard and work smart u too also may one day become a Super Sayan like Chris Heria. I'm a recovering addict and am determined to live my life to the fullest and health is my new drug of choice. I pray God allows me to undo some of the damage I've done to myself with care nutrition and that hard work .I was a sportsman, county cricket player professional musician plus a lot more before I got in with ghdcwrong friends at school and things went wrong so I'm happy I have something to work for I know what it's like to feel strong healthy happy and nothing but happy with the life I'm leading. U have inspired me and given me knowledge on how to achieve things which if not explained like u did would seem impossible task. Thank u Chris I'll finish this and continue to watch others you've done. Once drain great full u willing to teach

    The flexibility from what I've read/ been told is from something called Tong Zi Gong. When they use their fingers in terms of Conditioning I've heard it's called Diamond finger. The Iron Palm I've done myself for a few years is similar to building muscle. You progress slowly in striking various bags filled with usually rice then beans then gravel and eventually iron fillings. You also need a special medicine called Dit Da Jow which helps rebuild the damage done. During this training the bones get "micro fractures" and with the proper medicine heal and get stronger. It takes alot of dedication but it's worth it.

    I remember seeing that monk doing the one finger handstand live in person when I was a kid. He came to New York to demonstrate in front of live audience. They picked random people from the audience to inspect. Another crazy thing is they said he could do the one finger handstand without leaning against a wall when he was young. As you can see from the video, he was already quite old.

    I lived and trained with them in Northern China for over a year. They are as insane as they seem in the videos and even more, I’ve witnessed a lot. I have to mention that the bricks they break are nothing like the solid bricks we have in the west. I manage to break 5 in a row once but my hands got all bloody and I could never have done it with only my index regardless, but yeah they break easier.
    Another thing or course is that a lot of them are broken after a certain age(25 to 30s) and they just teach but their bodies are permanently injured. Still tho, even if they are injured and older their bodies can do superhuman shit guys. Best year and best training I ever had.

    There is a reason to everything they train for. Example, when Chris questioned why the monks keep on falling to the ground on purpose; well, they are practicing to break their fall. When your aggressor hits you resulting in a fall to the ground, you will be trained to land safely without smashing your head on the ground. So yeah, every skill training has it’s purpose.

You should totally try and try a 'form/kata' (when they combine moves together) It's fun cardio! • @yelloe
      @yelloe Před 2 lety

      Personally I don't think it's too young. The younger the better as kids pick up skills much faster, they are more flexible and they have more energy, they have to learn those motor skills early and retain them as an adult. As long as the kid is willing. People get their kids in sports, gymnastics, mma in the west as early as 5 too. But I can tell these kids training are MUCH MORE INTENSE. Their lifestyle is not like in any first world country. They don't know videogames, TV, internet, tech, visual entertainment so they won't get distracted. Which is good imo and more kids should not get exposed to visual distractions too early.

    The guy who fell repeatedly on his back near the end, that training conditions you for getting thrown in a fight. You’d need the conditioning if your opponent was skilled in San Shou or a similar art. In those arts, the ground essentially becomes a weapon. The conditioning helps you to fall correctly and strengthens your body for high impacts.

    • @liamsir6246
      @liamsir6246 Před 2 lety +3

      I’m not Chris unfortunately, but remember to really control the tempo - it’s not always about numbers, 15 rapid and poor form pull ups are much worse than 5 slow, brilliant control and good form pulls. The numbers will come with time.
      I’d recommend yeah add some weight training in there, and also look at grease the groove (I got insanely good at pull ups with grease the groove (10 sets of 10 in a workout)). But weights should help - add like 2.5kg to start. Aussie pull ups will only help to a point, they help build the strength for a pull up, but won’t get you more and more pull ups after a point. Train the pull up, include negatives and 1.5 reps, and look for the weak part of your pull up. If it’s the bottom, the initial pull, then train scapular pull ups, if it’s the top aspect, getting to chin up above the bar, then train 1.5 reps with a pause.
