I found a mechanical Meiji 30 day two hole clock at an estate sale for $35 dollars yesterday. Someone was waiting for me to walk away from it to get it, but I googled it and saw how expensive they were and took it off the wall. I looks good with my vintage decor in my TV room...I'm so lucky to have gotten a REALLY good deal.

Well, today I learned that the weights on regulators are for timekeeping only with the chimes & strikes being spring-driven. I always wondered how they can have only two weights with three holes to wind! Cheers!

I took my Hermle grandfather clock to these guys who told me they would fix it. Came worse. Now it wrong chimes all the melodies.
So why not give them a ring ad let them tell you how to fix it. Mine got “confused” in transport (like yours may have done). Easy fix if you know how, so ask.
