- Shoenice AKA Christopher Schewe is a long time CZcamsr who has gone from getting hundreds of thousands of views per video to less than 10,000 views per video. His reputation has dwindled over the years after scamming editors and failing to adapt to current CZcams climates.
This is the story and downfall of Shoenice.
This video is slightly different to my other downfall/uprise videos, less chronological and more just documenting the events that have lead to the downfall.

I was a vicious alcoholic for years and it basically cost me everything. Luckily I got sober and was able to salvage my relationship with my son.

Go to a doctor, be honest with them and get proper testing done. My uncle stopped after 20+ years and hes living well enough now. If youre worried, thats a good sign. Get help asap and stop the damage.

He actually has gathered quite an audience on TikTok and now has half a million followers there. I think it's because most people don't know his past so he can gather an audience again.

So he finally found another outlet that works? He tried several. He kept getting channels deleted or deleting his own content after questionable antics and killed his subscriber base on CZcams. I’ll give him credit that he managed to garner yet another half million followers after all the burned bridges. I guess there’s always an audience of morbid curiosity for a guy that’ll chug a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
I haven’t seen it. I stumbled upon this video after suddenly remembering the dude who used to take mushrooms and bomb liquor bottles. I hope it’s him sober and doing something different.

As a recovering alcoholic I can relate when it comes to being a douchebag. You do anything to get your daily drink, drug or whatever poison you're hooked up on. Trust me on this: the person you become when developing alcoholism isn't the person you really are when you're sober and don't have that fire in your belly, that thirst that only can be put out with alcohol. And it's a depressing thought when you realise that the addiction (alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, you name it) has taken control over your life. Your addiction makes you do anything to get your next drink, fix or whatever. You feel helpless, because you feel like you're a prisoner in your own mind, waking up crying in the morning thinking "I don't want to drink anymore but I have to", in order to just be able to get up from bed and deal with being awake, deal with all the stupid things you did yesterday, the anxiety that you lost control yet again yesterday because of drinking and to cope with the feelings you drink, it's the quickest fix just so you don't mentally break down in depression or in worst case scenario commit suicide. I can understand Shoenice's situation eventhough I also think he's been a douche many times. But I understand him. It's the addiction that drove him to do a lot of stupid stuff. Thanks for reading.

Yup, as a recovering heroin addict I will second your opinion. I’m not an inherently bad person or anything, quite the opposite but when addiction takes over you’re only really thinking about what I can do to get my next fix. I got really good at lying and generally acting like an asshole. Thankfully I got clean a year and a half ago but I can definitely relate to the things said in this vid.

There is / was a part of shoenice’s fan base that actually did find it shocking because he seemed like a decent guy at the start and none of his history was out there. I wasn’t shocked, but the depth of the well that is his bullshit was deeper than I expected. But I do find it funny some people say shit like “I can’t believe he’s still healthy after all that liquor” when clearly his alcoholism is the reason why he’s been reduced to the crazy homeless man he is today.

I knew Chris right before he started his youtube antics and all the things exposed in this video were on point. He was a socially awkward and weird person. He would flip flop and talk shit behind your back almost instantly.
Right before he started really going 100% on his youtube eating , he attempted (and failed) to be a stand up comedian in Albany, NY (hence why in his Tosh.0 interview he says the worst place in the world is Albany because no one likes him here). He also gained a lot of attention (his main motive) by staging a "protest" by chaining himself to an outdoor fountain after a local university cancelled a traditional celebration due to their students participating in a riot. He claimed he was going to stay out there until they reestablished this tradition and got the news to show up and everything. He barely lasted 12 hours before his wife and kid begging him to come home (i know this because I physically drove there and checked). Also he is a military vet who always would talk about during his classes and people thought he was insane.
I've been a friend of his for a few years on and off since he ditched Albany for his short stint in Daytona Beach. He pisses me off-- but on a human to human level, I do care about him. When we communicate, we just end up insulting each other and it doesn't mean anything to either of us really. Kid gloves.
One of my theories to his erratic behavior and general idiosyncrasies is not only his open substance abuse, but trauma he has sustained to his head in the past. He wasn't verbally or physically impaired necessarily, but it seemingly stopped him from maturing and growing up since it happened. He honestly acts like he is permanently 17. He literally cut off an entire section of his life and blood in an effort to avoid taking responsibility as an adult father and husband. It's a more common phenomenon among people like him than the public realises. In addition, I do believe he suffers from bipolar depression in which he has openly admitted to having. He's also a compulsive liar with delusions.
Is he a chomo like some people rumor? No. I know he isn't. I genuinely believe he gets so sh!tfaced that he doesn't know what he is saying to people in person or online. Who knows what he has gotten himself into with no thought given.
Whenever I suggest the idea of him helping himself either mentally, physically, financially or otherwise, I get nothing but static or he just straight up tells me to f*ck myself. This is the life he chose and so I find it hard to show any pity. Just my two cents. Sorry for the "essay".

it 100% will happen eventually. it happens to all people who drink like that. Even if they stop drinking for decades afterwards. That why he says "it will catch up with me" because he knows already. People who drink like him could stop at age 30 or 40 and remain sober never drinking a drop again and then die from it by the age of 50 or 60.
People think because they're young, they can handle it, but that's not how it works. It's how Angry Grandpa passed away. the drinking he did when he was younger caught up to him even though he had been sober for years and years.

I used to be part of an online Facebook community back in 2014-15 who absolutely loved shoenice. We would all send messages and comment on his videos, trying to get a funny response. I, the hilarious teen that I was, commented along the lines of asking him to be my daddy 🤔 He responded saying

Weird, kinda irrelevant story, but I'll never forget my brush with this legend.

Addiction is a demon...I'm sure shoenice may have not been a terrible person or scumbag his entire life... Addiction makes you do things a person never would. I describe it as a demon or another evil person who takes you over and makes you do things you'd never do. Unfortunately I have personal experience with this but that demon is gone and I am back to who I once was. And everyday I thank everyone for the forgiveness. I hope some day Shoenice can get the help he needs. I am not defending his actions at all just trying to help others understand what addiction does to the nicest of people
Victim of grooming not necessarily identifies the predatory aspect of the relationship. I didn't. It made me laugh when adults hit on me without touching me. Only people who openly tried to touch me, touched me, stalked, said awful shit, I considered predatory. As a 13 year old I just was so surprised that there were creeps who speak to you, not just put their hands on me, I couldn't see them as danger in comparison simply, it was so obvious they wanted consent. Only in my thirties now I see how nuts that is for an adult to try to seriously be friends, like they would with an adult, with a 12 year old. They can't truly consent no matter how intelligent and mature they are. And the fact adult doesn't feel an emotional chasm, a gap, a canyon, when trying to emotionally connect with a twelve year old as adult would to adult, is the whole point of it really. If you're an adult, and you haven't developed so much a thirteen year old could never be your equal and you feel it, you're a messed up adult. Tons of people like that out there. That's where acceptance of adult-14 year old comes from. Plenty of seemingly normal people never become truly adults, they accomplish same maturity as a well adjusted, mature, intelligent teenager. So they can't see why it would be wrong. If these two minds truly were on the same level, it would be acceptable. But one of those minds is in a body of an adult and the other one when they will be an adult will be more developed than the adult they're interacting with as teenagers. That should be a chasm. Plenty of people, sadly women too, are just teenagers in bodies of adults.

@@gamingadvocate8161 Yep. I'm a recovering addict and I always feel for people with addiction issues. But at some point you have to say enough is enough. You either have to hit rock bottom or some other kind of life altering event. I couldn't imagine trying to quit my addiction if I made money off of it. That would be very difficult.
Also I feel for addicts and alcoholics but we are pros at making excuses. I also had a horrible childhood with a lot of abuse but you have to overcome it. A rehab and a lot of therapy is the only way to go. It is possible to recover but it takes hard work. I feel nothing but sorrow for this dude. I just hope he gets help and becomes happy!!

At it's height it was 2 handles of green label every 3 days. 1 a day on weekends. What a horrible way to spend 12 years......
