Thanks for watching!! Yes I'm very lucky to have been able to buy my dream bus. I am planning to keep the original paint and keep the bus as original as I can. :)

What an excellent find, looking forward to seeing the rebuild and back on the road !! Would be nice to have a better quality video, but we get what's happening. All the best with the project, will be watching 👍 Regards. Mark Eastbourne, England
Hello! Yeah we had some trouble with the format of this last video but we are working on our sound and video quality so hopefully the next video will be better!! Thank you for watching!!
M code plate on wall behind passenger seat tells date of build. VIN # is actual production number. If it is a 61, odds are that it was built in 60 due to it having "high hinge" cargo doors. The upper hinges were lowered about 8" in early 1961 chassis # 7xx,xxx.
If you enter the “Reparaturleitfaden Volkswagen Transporter Typ 2 (T1) ” in German on the Internet, you will find many technical documents on the “Volkswagen Classic Parts” page. It's in German, but you can still see the drawings and dates.
Yeah it got messed up because of the first part. It was recorded on my uncles phone and the format was wrong so it messed with the rest of the video. We’re working on the next video and it should be a lot better!! Thanks for watching!!
Yeah we had some issues with the beginning of the video because it was recorded on an older cell phone and then it messed with the rest of the video. We did have music but CZcams removed it. We have ordered microphones to hopefully improve our audio sound also!

Thanks! We have a Nikon but we aren’t very impressed with it so far. Especially for the price we paid.

Why is the picture so tiny?
1959 van
We thought so too but title says 1961.
Your audio hates!. Can't hardly hear nothin! If there is any audio at all and why do you have it on tiny picture?

Work on your video skills and please don't ruin that bus.
Yeah we’re pretty new to all of this. I’m working on getting better with our editing program. We did have music but CZcams muted it all :/
The last thing I would do is ruin it. Owning a split window has been my dream since I was 5 years old. I’m leaving the original paint as is.
Two words. “LS swap”
