also you can make your king escape on the duck, but it doesn't have an ending and the black king will still auto-beat you if you cheat without an accusation allowing you to do so.

FYI - you can cheat freely when taking the opponent's final piece. The penalty is normally them being able to cheat back, but since the game is over and they have no pieces there's no penalty for it.
I was a bit surprised there wasn't an achievement for that.
Looks like pawns are also able to cheat if you move them to the great beyond, since the piece disappears from the board and this can't be accused of cheating.

There needs to be a follow up to this game where the goose ending was the true ending so he goes absolutely hard core into a rule book with like 250 rules kinda' like the password game that as you play you have to follow more and more rules and it gets so complicated and convoluted that it's basically unplayable for those who can't think of a bunch of different things at once
And it HAS to be beatable just like the password game

By the way, when possible the optimal cheat is to move one of the troll's rooks adjacent to the other, causing both to fuse into a useless castle.
And if there is any other black piece near the rook you can take it out. 3 for 1!
well you can move the rook next to the other one at the start of the game, just outside the board
I think the funny thing about when you did the blitz ending is your final move you cheated but it didn't matter because you won (The cheat was the Queen having an affair)
-The queen is allowed to take the king. he was worried over nothing.-
-The reason he lost in previous video from doing that is because the new black king spawned right next to the queen.-
-Unless the enemy king moving to your queen counts but I doubt it. I am guessing you have to end your turn on your queen being next to a king.-

You absolutely should have turned into the goose. Rule 69: There must always be a Lich Goose.
Since you can move queens of the other color, could you move the other queen onto the duck then capture the king so it swaps places with the queen onto the moving duck? In theory that could get you to have the troll on the duck without breaking any rules.

Oh yeah! So firstly drag the duck and bring it onto the board, then let the black queen ride into the duck, then afterward, capture the black king without any other pieces besides the black queen, then no cheating has been made! It's a hardcore kind of challenge though but wow... What a theory.
The ascension ending is the troll getting divine punishment
The best first cheat move is to just combine their rooks into a castle. The rook can capture one of their own pieces when you do it if there is another piece near their other rook.
1:47 the best cheat there is probably to move the black rook next to the other black rook so that you get rid of both as they become a castle.
So I'm interested in finding out what happened if:
1) goose takes away white king off screen - then you cheat
2) you put goose on black king, then after he asks you to put him back - do so (if that is even possible)
3) you put a "combined tower" on goose, or goose on combined tower
4) put goose on a square with 2 pieces already on the same square
5) lose all pieces except one (which would be king), put your last piece on the goose
6) put king on the goose, let it escape, then lose all pieces
7) put second to last non-king black piece on goose, then capture black king
8) put bishop's landmine on goose, put goose on landmine
9) put goose on slippery tile
10) capture last non-king piece when the last piece was a bishop not on the board, accuse king of the bishop rule
11) try to break every breakable rule
12) try to accuse of breaking every nonsensical rule including first and last page, including "black king contents"'
13) put goose on board surrounded by pieces
14) put goose on board surrounded by bishop landmines
15) in cheat mode attempt to capture a black piece that is already on the goose
16) try to move a piece off goose when in cheat mode, when not on cheat mode
17) in cheat mode move white king out of the board, then lose all other pieces
18) win without cheating with your king still on the goose while not cheated
19) accuse a piece on the goose which swam out of the board of the bishop rule
20) attempt a softlock when the last remaining black piece is a king out of the board and you don't control a bishop
21) deprive yourself of valid moves by losing bishops and putting all remaining pieces out of the board
22) castling is not a valid move but I'm interested in what he says if you attempt it
23) have two "combined tower" pieces on the board
24) accuse own piece on first move of a random rule
25) make black king surrounded with landmines
26) accuse goose of something if that is even possible
27) accuse a piece on goose of moving illegally
I know the answer to some of these.
1) if you cheat with white king offscreen, black king shoots towards where it went and captures it offscreen.
13) irrelevant. goose doesn't pick pieces up; you must place them on the goose.
15)you can capture a piece that is on the goose. If it's standing in a spot where you'd normally be able to capture it, it's not even cheating. The troll did it to me. :(
23)there's no reason you can't do that, but it does mean sacrificing all the rooks.
No "softlocks" are possible. If there are no valid moves, you have no choice but to cheat. Then you lose. If it's black's turn and they have no valid moves, same for them. They must cheat, then you can win.
I do wonder what happens if only the black king is left and you cheat to capture him. Do you get caught or can he not call you out because he just lost?

If I'm correct, you may move the castle, because rooks can eat pieces of the same colour to increase their tower power.
One of the rules say the castle cannot move unless 3 or more rooks are on the board
You cheated at 5:05 by taking the king with your queen, you would have lost. However, because the troll no longer existed on the board, he could no longer accuse you of cheating.
The same would go for you if the troll cheated and instantly took your king, you wouldn't be able to accuse him because you've already lost. So yes, as said at 15:00, he DOESN'T have a defence against that.
It's a shame you didn't go for the under 5 minute speedrun achievement because it has a leaderboard and you'd see me on there and - CHESS EVOLVED LOOKS LIKE THAT NOW?? WHAT IS THAT

Well you'd only be able to make an illegal move and if you cheat the troll can go offscreen to capture your king.
The real Pawn moves like a King and attacks in all the directions it did not move already.

with the pawn promotion mechanic changed to "ascension", is there even a way to get three towers and a castle on the board?
considering the only way to create a castle is to consume two of the initial four towers, you'd HAVE to add one back somehow in order for rule 28 to no longer apply...unless the whole point is not being able to move it ever except for cheating turns.

I wonder if fyou can do anything with the castle, like cheat to use it to capture things? walk into it? is that counted as walk in each other's shoe if it's a castle? does eating your own piece as a rook to increase power make it multiple rook and so you can movve the castle? ...is there rook eat everyone ending?
I thought that the Ascension ending would be super hard to get with not a single pawn ever allowed to be taken by the opponents, but the fact that the opponent's pawn ascending count towards the total helps tremendously. Also I woudn't have thought of forcing an opponent's pawn to move to your back row to remove them. Brilliant!

the trick after moving your king onto the duck legally is to cheat freely since the opponent can't kill your king in one move since your king isn't present!

couldn't you move the goose onto the king to get it carried away?
wouldnt it be possible to move the enemy queen on the duck and then kill the last other piece, so the queen becomes the troll? then you can do the good ending while getting rid of the troll via duck, right?
