Yay!! Glad you liked it!!
This video was absolutely spot on. Helped me through my applications recently (2022) and thankfully I got into all 3 schools I applied to. Thank You!!
I loved this video! SO informative and professional. I found a ton of information and definitely rewatched sections. I also loved the format of your video where you labeled each distinct question. Thank you so much!! I really enjoy your videos.
Aww thank you! Glad you found it helpful!💖
Thank you for uploading and making this video! I am planning to apply this cycle and it really helped me.

Did you get in? I’m hoping you did💯
Can i get into university of Houston with a 3.3gpa? because i did improve over judging on my transcript
What if my college only offers lower-level A&P classes? The only upper-level class they offer is called animal physiology but for the general A&P it’s lower-level only.
If we retake a class in a DIFFERENT institution, do they still use the retake one? because he said to retake the same class, in the same intrusion.
Really helpful video! So reliable! Yall are awesome!
Thank you!!
I’m currently working at a private family practice and we see patients from 2 to over 100 years old. Since they prefer a student to have experience in at least 3 different types of practices, where else would you recommend?
Please keep making these kind of videos it's sooooooo helpful
Thank you so much for watching!☺️
This was so helpful, I’m applying this summer! Thank you 🙏🏽
Best of luck!!! You’re going to kill it

Hello
Thank you so so much for this video!
Of course!!
I'm a Spanish speaker and have 2 years of experience as a optician and now I'm considering going to optometry school. But I didn't do well in community college 3 years ago when I went so I feel as though applying would be pointless
It wouldn't hurt to retake classes.
THAAAAAAAAAAAnk You Khan, Seriously thanks. I was in middle of my studying, trying to find a supplemental video for Stoichiometry from chemistry, and find this. So helpful. Although, it gave me stress because of my GPA and being in community college. However, it motivate me alot. that if I finish my OAT great at the end of july. there is a hope to be there. Pray for me to see you in future. thanks again. thank you Mr Tate. I hope I get the same call that you get khan.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Best wishes 😊
Hello pls can you give me pointers to how I can pass CoE in one seating
This great, thank you so much!
🥰
Hi Khanh. I am confused about 2 majors which are Biological Science, Concentration in Molecular Biology, and Chemistry, Concentration in Biochemistry. What is major you recommend Bio or Chem to go optometry school. Which is better? Thank you!
Whatever you’re more passionate about!
This is awesome!❤️Thank you 🙂
Question! And i know it varies by school. But generally, do prerequisites expire for OD programs? I have taken most of my prereqs when I was dual enrolled in high school. I finished my bachelors, became an optician, but now really anticipating taking the next step and wanting to finally apply for optometry school! Any help would be appreciated ❤️
I believe 5 years but you may want to reach out to admission or Optomcas to double check! I’m not too sure
This was very helpful. Thank you!
I’m glad you liked it!!😊
Hey Khanh! Does UH require you to complete a bachelor's for admission or just complete the prerequisites and 90-credits?
Bachelors!
do you have a video on killing the personal statement?
Oooh that's actually what i've been working on ;) stay tuned
What is best to do in order to gain experience in the optometry field? Since he said they look for applicants with experience.
shadowing an optometrist, working for one, etc. most pre-health professions are big on gaining experience by having their applicants shadow
This video was so helpful! Do you know if I can come to the school (I live in Houston) and talk to them about where I’m at , to see if I have any chances or what should I improve before I graduate?
Sullay Villalta hey there, I’m not khanh(obviously) but I just wanted to let you know that you absolutely can. They are great. I would email Lyle or call their office, and you can find that info on the website! Good luck
Kyle Delk thanks Kyle!
Thanks for responding Kyle! 😊
What!!!!! You majored in bio and not one A&P class? I am in a two year Radiographer program at a "Community College" and A&P is required.
That’s the case for a lot of universities. We are able to choose what upper level courses to take and I chose things that sounded interesting. It’s not that much of a surprise
What AP classes should i take in highschool and how many should i take for Optometry?
Get through college first.
I wouldn’t worry too much about high school AP classes, I was a terrible student in high school and never took AP classes but I’ve been getting mostly A’s in college thus far. College is completely different than high school, remember that. If you’re dead set on taking AP classes I’d recommend chemistry & calculus for sure.
Tbh taking AP language has helped a lot because I was able to skip 3 pre req courses in English at university and focus on bio, chemistry, and physics instead.
Maya Papaya honestly they dont care about AP for english and other GRE. But AP for sciences is a big no. They would rather see how you do in college as for taking your STEM classes
Issa Secret secret thank you
when he says 3 to 3 5 does he mean 3.5 gpa? also thank you so much for this video. i am very interested in applying to houston when i finish my undergrad :)
Yes, gpa! Best wishes 😊
Imagine trying to get admitted in Canada. Only two schools one of which is French only. RIP.
It is incredibly expensive, and four years of your life. Plan well.
