- Applicants from around the world are sometimes asked for an interview as part of their application to Harvard College. While your application is considered complete without any interview, a Harvard alum may reach out and try to schedule one. If you are nervous or curious about what this interview entails, then look no further! This video will give you a partial sample of what your interview may look like. You can also read more here - college.harvard.edu/guides/wh...
DISCLAIMERS:
- Alumni interviews are assigned at the discretion of the admissions committee based in part on the availability of alumni interviewers in your area.
- Your application is considered complete without an interview and will receive a full and thorough evaluation.
- It is not possible to request an interview and we are not able to conduct interviews in Cambridge.
- Interviews may be conducted via Zoom (or other video conferencing platform), telephone, or in-person depending on public health restrictions in your area - as well as your preferences and those of your interviewer.
- It is important to note that our alumni interviewers do not have access to your application - they only have your name, your contact information and the name of your high school. Any recording of this conversation is strictly prohibited.

Had mine last week! The alumni are super friendly and the conversation flows really easily. No need to worry :)

You know what I loved most? This Interview was totally holístic! That's the process! It changes everything!
This was helpful!! I have an interview in 30min, for Princeton
How was it
@@Rammyrich awesome, had so much fun. It was through zoom though. It's more of a conversation than an interview. Just be you. I remember telling him that my biggest regret this year is cutting my hair 😅he laughed hard. Don't be too formal
@@MeshackOmondi-ye3yw are you an international student?
@@stride.10 yeah, Kenyan😁
@@MeshackOmondi-ye3ywdid you get in?

Still didnt get any notice for an interview but I hope I do soon.
I was just wondering if we get admitted but the housing is in march then when will we stay Feb , April etc all those months please ans
Yes
Will ivy leagues accept and will css profile be granted if a student has a year gap?
yes. I think so
do we even have interviews
这个小姐姐好温柔哈哈
if I have no interview invitation, does that mean I'm already denied in your pool?
nope it doesn't mean you have been rejected. The alumni interviews happen based on region. Some students will get an interview and some won't, but there is no need to worry because the interviewer doesn't get any info about your application (so its not like they choose you based on your grades or your stats). Interviews happen based on availability of alumni in your area. If you didn't get an interview it probably means that currently, there aren't any alumni available which doesn't mean you have been automatically rejected. You might also get an interview later on and not at the same time as some of your classmates or friends. So moral of the story, dont worry mate. You can get into Harvard or any other school for that matter, without being invited to have an interview. Hope this helped.
@@Dakosx do all schools work like that? Like all alumni are people who don’t know your application
@@KLen-ff1ylI’m not sure for all schools but I’d assume it’s similar for all the ivies. My Princeton interviewer only knew my name and maybe my school. If you go on google you should be able to find all the answers
@@KLen-ff1yl I think for most schools alumni have no idea about you or your application. From all of my interviews, nobody knew anything about me, so don’t be afraid to talk about stuff you have already mentioned in your application.
@@Dakosx thank you so much
What I think is inappropriate is that some alumni ask for your resume. I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving it to a stranger. I had one alum call from his car while he was driving which I thought was inconsiderate and another from outside the country and connection wasn’t great.
