I have been subscribed to Frames Magazine since before the first copy. It is second to none, the best photography magazine that I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot.
I rarely print, which is sad... I have said for years that a photograph is not fully realized until it is printed. Lately I have gotten the urge to print and this video only stokes the embers. It might be time to buy a printer... again.

I print 3-5 per month and put them into a photo journal. It helps me see my progress over a year. I use an epson-900: half B&W and half color. Thanks for your discussion of this topic. I think printing forces me to really analyze my composition.

Ya know what's silly? I liked how you used behind-the-scenes-moving-around-your-studio as transitions between scenes.

A few years ago one of the photographers I follow did a video about the reasons you should print your images. It made sense, and following that advice, I printed images (had them printed). I could see why you would want to do that. I also set up an image viewing situation where I could hang a print and enjoy it for awhile, not unlike your arrangement with the wires. Thank you for posting, Leigh.
I bought an Epson printer years ago, printed a few myself but never liked the quality as much as I did when I would have them done at a printer. before Covid, I was mainly a concert and music photographer and I would print out some of my favorite shots of bands I have covered when I have gone and seen them a second or third time, and try to get them signed. I am looking into trying different types of paper and printing methods. revisiting some of your older videos on it.
In the last 12 months, I've been printing 10 pictures each quarter and switching them out in frames up my stairs. I usually pick a theme, like travel, flowers, or bugs. This way I get to enjoy my pictures each time I go up the stairs. So much more enjoyable than scrolling or sitting at my computer.
I use the epson sc-p900 also highly recommend. Printing is fun!

Where did you get the wire to hang your prints on the wall? I really like the idea!
I purchased that one at Ikea. It's actually for hanging curtains. There are now a whole slew of them on Amazon, like this one... amzn.to/4bpcolp

Not many of my photos are seen. I will print but not to show. They sit here for a time, then they get stored away. I have never bought a computer program for post work on them so what I see is SOOC , and not often very eye catching. I really need to make the step into post processing.
