RT not knowing what Fireboy and Watergirl is truly makes him our beloved boomer dad
As a Fireboy and Watergirl enjoyer I agree
honestly the most influential internet couple back in the day 🙏

'Getting addicted to your friends and chatting with them' is a pretty odd way of wording a human being's basic need for social interaction.
Yeah, how dare your child develop social skills
@@yaboipktendo I never had any friends and I turned out fine!
I don’t think social interaction is a basic human need, but then again I am here… _interacting…_
@@Scuuurbs It literally is. If you don't get enough you go crasy, it's ben studied extensively.
@@Scuuurbsit is, humans are fundamentally a social species, it's just the degree of social interaction that one needs that varies from person to person. I have a fairly low social need personally (just work and chatting to online buddies satisfies all my social parameters), but there are those who would go stir-crazy without going out with a group of IRL friends every so often. This became very evident when the ongoing p@ndemic was first causing mass-closures; people with high social needs were suddenly unable to satisfy that need with their preferred method of connecting with others.
My favorite part of Internet Explorer was when RT said "It's explorin' time" and crashed to bios
Five hundred n' some change likes and NO comments, here take this. Have a good day.
I'm not even a minute in, but honestly I could see internet explorer just crashing any computer.

GRAND DAD
This is honestly my fav version of this I’ve ever seen, bravo 🎉
I’m so happy “my pet named Steve” is still there after Markiplier’s video with Google feud.😂
I was about to comment this haha! It makes me so happy haha. Pet named Steve was the funniest thing haha
Pet named Steve still lives on to this day.
I was so glad I had just swallowed a mouthful of water right before that answer came up! 😅
I just rewatched his video and I can’t believe it’s SEVEN YEARS OLD
The fact that a pet named Steve is still on Google feud after all these years shows how much influence markiplier has on the game 😂
I never really understood why Dan's chat always calls him "dad" until I watched him stumble his way through things everyone my age did like a confused yet well meaning parent.
even his "they used to call me the drift king back in college" is such a dad/grandpa thing to say when they brag about their hay days
Plus his overall humour and vibes are very much like a dad thats working as an entertainer XD
I'm just glad more people understand instead of just calling us weird for the roleplay 😂
ACE FLAG!!
I'm pretty sure all of that started because someone misspelled Dan to Dad and chat just rolled with it.
My favorite part of the stream was Dan playing Who's that Pokémon for like 40 minutes, chat's begging him to stop while attempting an intervention, and Dan yelling, "I'M NOT ADDICTED, I CAN STOP WHENEVER I WANT."
Could you tell me which stream its from? I would love to see that 😅
@dogntstopmenow8556 from this stream! Hopefully it's already posted or posted soon
Now he just needs to play the cursed Who's that Pokemon.

You know, the internet used to be often referred to as the "Information Superhighway"... And you know what RT used to do on highways back in college?
EDIT: Forgot that editing a comment (fixed a grammatical mistake) removes creator hearts... oops.
Vehicular homicide?
They used to call him the Superhighway King back in college
@@sugoistalin7809they did call him the vehicular homicude king back in college

the way he recognised so many pokemon by their shadow and voice alone strikes genuine fear in me

He just kept going, it was actually scary live
And yet he doesnt know what waterboy and firegirl

never knew RT just googling stuff for 15 minutes would make such good content
I mean, he is the dude with the "watching paint dry" livestreams, I'm not surprised 😄
it felt like going to the computer room with your friend after finishing homework and just exploring the vast internet... just vibing
Thanks to your advice my child is now using the computer all day! And I really believe that nothing can go badly when he is left to explore on his own😊
“A pet named Steve” is from when Markiplier played google feud and guessed random CZcams
I'm genuinely shocked that RT didn't know about Fireboy and Watergirl.
Personally I dont expect outside of Zoomers to really know what that is
I know right! I mean I understand not knowing Wordle, but Fireboy and Watergirl? did he even have a childhood???
I'm the same age as Dan, and only know about it because of kid siblings. For stuff most people found on like Cool Math Games, you mostly had to be going to school at a certain time to be forced to play those instead of like...idk, Red Dead Redemption?
There's about a five-year period where that game was popular, and even then, only in school culture, and even then, primarily in America. It might have been a big part of your childhood, but anyone outside of any of these conditions is much less likely to have heard of it.
RT is console gamer since his childhood so telling him that game looks new to him apparently.
As it turns out, Pokémon is an integral part of Dan’s psyche
RT is making such a CZcams moment when he’s Internet Exploring without actually using Internet Explorer and instead using Google Chrome.
*I’m contacting my lawyers.*

This hit me in my bones. Almost every single thing in this video was an integral part of my childhood. I was not expexting this nostalgia trip but it was so nice seeing someone in 2023 finding novelty and joy in things that i was enjoying in 2013.

I actually want to watch RT show off his Pokemon knowledge in an hour-long video
"Get addicted to chatting with friends"
Said the guy addicted to oxygen and water
That "NAME ALL POKEMON" could be fun as a "Chat vs. Chat" activity with Doug or Failboat
oh, ABSOLUTELY.
In the Doug vs Ludwig stream, they did a challenge with their twitch chats similar to this but it was only 1 generation at a time
7:20
The thought of the optimal RTGame viewer just being a dude in his 40s drinking whisky and smoking is so funny
Don't forget doing it completely bare-assed lmao, peak culture right there.
Mr. Rogers not being one of the google feud answers is heartbreaking
Ironically, this is some prime Twitch streaming content. Chat gets to interact, and everyone has fun.
I relate to Dan very hard on having so much brain space dedicated to just knowing every single pokemon
I also have the majority of my brain devoted to Pokémon. And that is just as healthy as it sounds.
watching the pokedexes populate was the best part of my week
This video is great. You should do more stuff like this, chilling out with chat, cracking jokes, and exploring random “CZcams” on the internet.
6:02 Nice to know Markiplier has left a permanent mark on google feud.
That minecraft article was pure gold
Man, I miss being able to find fun websites or helpful results without first having to dig through mountains of AI excrements and shovelware blogs...
I can't believe the pet named steve is still a thing, OMG
As an Internet user, this is the content I subscribe for
This is like hanging out with your friends on discord late at night and just searching random shit on the internet
i love videos like this where RT just does random stuff on his computer, like this and the password game are already some of the best of this year
Rt: back in my days!
Chat: sure dad time to sleep.
This was the Internet, thank you for coming to my TED Talk! (Daniel's chat is a massive fan of Pokemon I see!)
Dan doesn't think about the Roman Empire, just Pokemon 😂
I got some pretty unfortunate news today. I have to sell my horse and I thought I would have another year with him, but it’s just not in the cards. I really needed something to cheer me up, and this definitely helps. Thanks RT.
One step closer to RT's first Windows destruction
this feels like an rt vid from 2019. and i mean that in the best possible way. this is fantastix
RT running into the pet named Steve jokes so many years later makes me feel old
the NOSTALGIA. We NEED more of this, we must do more internet exploring
Daniel does something incredibly mundane is my new favorite genre of video actually
If he does this again, I totally wanna see him browse the modern versions of MySpace and GeoCities (SpaceHey and NeoCities respectively).
It’s amazing to know Daniel can make anything hilarious, even a search engine.
idk what's worse rt not knowing some of the kings of flash games or rt browsing without adblock
Some of my favorite RT videos are honestly him doing something extremely random like this yet still making it highly entertaining
(I love the Terrible Stream Premises playlist)
RT failing the first level of fireboy and watergirl has made me realize that god has abandoned us
the fact that 'my pet named steve' is still goin makes me so happy :,)
You know you’re old when some of the stuff you enjoyed as a kid doesn’t exist on the internet anymore (I will forever remember you obscure flash game sites, CZcams channels, and fanfics)
I could ALSO do those Pokémon quizzes all day and it is incredibly validating to watch Dan spend so much time on it
He really can just name them all day huh
Dicking around on the internet is my favorite genre of video ever
The "pet named steve" for google feud is inspired an answer markiplier jokingly put on his very old google feud series
Non ironically probably the most I’ve enjoyed a rtgame vid in a little while
Nice job with that sliding puzzle lol. Although to be fair, when I was a kid back in the 80s I had a 4x4 tile Epcot themed one of those for car rides and got very good at it. It was a simpler age, when _most_ of the things you gave your kids in the car so they'd shut up and not kill each other were analog. If you were really lucky you'd get something electronic, like a Tiger Electronics LCD game or a stupid-ass Speak'n'Spell. I wonder if they still make Speak'n'Spells? I imagine tablets and smart phones murdered them in their sleep.
I needed that book on how to survive a garden gnome attack, my family is forever changed from their horrific intentions
My favorite solution to the trolley problem was some vid where they gave it to a toddler with one of those wooden trains, tracks, and pawn-people. The toddler moved the one person to the track with multiple people, then smashed the hell out of them. That there's a kid suited to be a Russian military officer. Or a middle manager.
6:02 LMAO MARKS VIEWERS ACTUALLY DID IT MAD LADS
How was this so entertaining, I could watch this all day
the fact that "a pet named steve" is still a google feud answer after all this time is truly beautiful
Can't wait to see how many sites were overwhelmed with traffic in the archive
New title: rtgame relives our childhoods
3:30 I randomly found that book behind some magazines in a grocery store I worked at a few years ago, best $15 I've ever spent
Ah, finally. Dad has discovered the internet.
What's your pfp?
Hm? Why?
@@Michaelatimer where did you get it?
I don't remember.
I like the ending of this video devolving into “See how obsessed RTGame is with Pokémon.”
Dan playing Who's That Pokèmon is relatable as hell, I literally spent like 4 hours playing it myself and hit a streak of over 100
My favorite videos are the ones where Dan js just doing the most random shit, like the bad quizzes video or paint drying
Seeing Dan do everything kid me did when I was really bored in school is weirdly fun.
I'm seriously impressed with Dan's knowledge of Pokemon.
I actually own the book "How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack"... It's saved my life countless times now
thank you rt for showing me a free and easy way to download more ram
9:41 The barrel roll reminds me of when you search the word "cat"
You could do this all day? good. I could watch you do it all day. I wanna see RT type every pokemon himself now.
As soon as I saw Google Feud, I knew it was matter of time until "a pet named steve" lol dammit, Markiplier
i cant believe he just explored the internet as content
This made me want to watch RT play Hypnospace Outlaw
Please do this more I've never been this entertained
As someone from New Zealand the bit at 8:30 was hilarious lol
This was a refreshing free-spirited stream, different from the usual.
2:03 "limited to somones imagination" THAT'S LITERALLY LIMITLESS
unsure if this will resonate with anybody but i've always wanted to see rt play loz skyward sword and the music at 3:50 truly enhances this need
I love the videos that don’t really have any rhyme or reason just chaos
The wheeze at the amongus bean, it’s never going to disappear
You should most definitely do this again it's really fun! I recommend doing those really stupid uquiz quizzes
The trolley problem at 10:48 is just the plot of Skyrim
Pretty fun, honestly pretty bummed you spent so little on most of those, the majority deserve their own vids XD
This is one of the best RT videos
Raft Wars will always be the pinnacle of the old internet for me.
Ok but that twitch chat option at the end is such a cool feature
The Google gravity recreation is something I'd look up all the time in school when I was bored and I had a chromebook. Others included Google space, Google underwater(?) And the atari breakout game that used to be available through Google images
Okay real shit the one with the pokemon cries had me going. That was fun asf to play along with. Even when dan was like "jolteon" I had to pushback with venonat. Just was weirdly proud of my pokemon knowledge
Seeing a “pet named Steve” joke still show up on Google feud made me so happy lol
