Gotta love the fact that their is a total tone shift in Mortimer’s ending
It's because Morty was the only one to ALWAYS one up Calypso and never kills innocents, only other contestants so he knew better than to try and trick him again. When Morty wins, you just give him what he wants and move on.
So it's canon that Needles retreived a paper bag, became an insect, got dentistry, stole a ring for his 3 ring circus and slashed Calypso's neck?

@@Liu_99 Hehehe, all I'm saying is that Sweet Tooth has been doing this for years by his own admission, and Calypso confirmed it. So all those wishes... happened, I guess. Yeah, I know this is basically a remake of Twisted Metal 3 and that Black is a spinoff, but I'd imagine he participated in more than two Twisted Metal contests, so what the hell else would he wish for? I'm calling it, he did all that stuff! He's a crazy guy!

The timeline is really fucking counfusing, technically outlaw should be the canon ending in 1 ,since in 2 the driver is still in space,and the canon ending in 2 should still be outlaw, since in 3 the car is drived by the two brothers
From getting into the franchise, it seems like the 3rd and 4th one isnt canon, black is like the equivelant of star wars' "legends" lore, head-on is supposed to be 3, and 2012 is like a movie reboot.
Its a odd sequence of how this franchise went and hopefully the newest one wont dissapoint, if they even make one after they make the supposive show

Imma be honest, the voice acting in this game is superb but I kinda miss Calypso's old VA
The voice actor who played sweet tooth went on to voice nikolai belinsky, soldier 76 and rhino in the spiderman ps4 game just to name a few roles
Its ok, Mel McMurrin is still around on CZcams. He just did a dub of the comic for the second game recently with the classic Calypso voice we know him for.
He also voices the Hulk in pretty much every animated series and video game nowadays.
13:11 - Tower Tooth awakening was one of the most rad things in all of Twisted Metal.

What a great game, I had this on PSP. Man, the PSP was such an awesome handheld for the time. I remember getting my uncle’s friend to jailbreak it, and I bought a new shell and everything for it. Definitely was pretty sweet. The PSP had so many great games. Nothing will ever top the PSP. Anyway, it’s a real shame that Twisted Metal Head On looks like it could of been played on the PlayStation 1.
Are we gonna talk about the fact that Needles in this game is shorter and weighs less than Marcus, his "sane" self?

The same can be said to most drivers in the game. Needles Kane for example, is vastly different design in HO compared to TM2

Im just gonna say it. Grasshoppers ending twists me up inside. I mean calypso has a chance to save his daughter the only way he can but it could be argued that this is even worse.

I think Krista's ending shows he's not in complete control for how the wish gets granted which honestly is kinda sad since he just wanted his daughter back.

1. If he wished to be free of Needles, whom he didn't have knowledge of, Calypso probably would've just made them 2 separate people and then Needles would've just killed him and moved on.
2. I don't see how that has anything to do with his ending.
3. In a different game when he won, Calypso destroyed the world so Mr. Grim could just devour all of them, only to still be hungry. Getting him a replacement seems easier than making everyone kill each other.
4. I think it's interesting that Needles made a wish with such explicit instructions that Calypso couldn't give it a monkey's paw effect and that Calypso can't resist granting wishes, even when he doesn't want to. Seems like after competing so long, with at least one win according to his ending, Needles might've figured out how Calypso's powers work.
5. Yeah but that would require thinking.
6. Which is why Calypso did that, so he'd be crushed by his own greed.
7. Probably wouldn't help with the fact that she threatened him at least twice beforehand.
8. Alternatively, she could've stepped away and let him just kill Calypso.
9. I guess. Seems more like her life is worse than being a ghost, if she ever wakes up she might end up being worse off.
10. I doubt it would've helped anyway. Probably should've just tried wishing for something else.
11. If he was smart he wouldn't have bothered competing again or just shot him with those weapons mounted to his shoulders.
12. He's won this tournament twice now according to this ending, at this point he deserves it for his obsession with building a tall tower.
13. I'm just shocked that they managed to nab him.
14. As game, he isn't worth Kraven's time. He'd work better as bait.
15. Seeing how he already killed all the competitors and almost killed Calypso single-handedly (literally), I feel like that's just overkill for him.
16. I don't even see the negative, like if he was at least shown getting crushed by them I'd get it. But it seems like they cut away without him dying and instead just severely inconvenienced.
17. Without question, Needles. Even their bio says this is when Marcus gives in.

This has me wondering who this "Zeke" is who helped Calypso during Catfish's wish.
These characters looking older than their actual age is putting me at an existential crisis
As an extra for the home release of my imaginary Twisted Metal movie I would have a comic book company draft scenes like this for alternate what-if endings for other drivers besides Needles Kane because I feel like a movie would only be able to really tell the story of a single participant.
SPOILER: Calypso shoots Needles dead when he steps out of his truck instead of giving him a wish because the point of the tournament in the movie is a long revenge plot to both kill Needles for murdering Calypso's family years before and also to get back at society for not giving him justice at the trial by using the tournament to lay waste to LA.
The Kane saga will always be the most interesting to me, but also, how the fuck is Needles shorter and weighs less than Marcus?? lol

Outlaws is by far the worst ending, they had to contrive really hard to make this ending backfire on them, making TM2 Outlaw do a 180 degree character turn on a dime like that is just utterly pathetic writing, something far more clever or poignant could have been done
