Go watch their official music video. Travis lost his older brother to a heroin overdose 4 years ago. (Brother had been severely injured in a car accident, got hooked on painkillers, and it progressed, despite going through rehab). Recently, he shared that he told his brother a month prior to his death that he was going to Make It in the music business, to get them both out of the metal/steelwork industry they were both working in. This song reflects on that, and that he had to move away from Natchez to Nashville to pursue his dream, leaving behind his family, including his lady and young son.

Sadly, they disbanded in Feb 2020 just before the pandemic hit. No plans to reunite, they are all doing their own thing: Drew Smithers continues to play that wonderful slide guitar in studio work, and plays occasionally with Blackberry Smoke on tour. Burne Sharp has his recording studio in Natchez and recently started an aerial video/photography (drone) business. Ben Lewis is working on his solo career and just released his 2nd solo album called “Rivers”. His first album is “This Town”. He plays solo gigs occasionally. Travis McCready is also working on a solo career, and is working on putting a backing band together. He’s working on getting a solo album released, plays gigs whenever possible, and has a live show every Tuesday on his Facebook page.

We need to establish a new genre...."country" has become embarrassing, does not really qualify as funk/blues/soul individually. Amigo the Devil, Sturgill Simpson etc..
