    That was awesome. I ( 62 years, female) did IF, even when not needed...I am one of those blessed with thin genes. But IF played havoc with my health, my sleep, I now have deficiencies of various kinds, cant sleep , anxiety and other things. I chanced on your Videos and am now eating and hope to be back to my "normal" self soon. Thanks for your extremely informative, scientific Videos, couple with your voice that somehow comforts me...thanks dear. Keep up the good work

    People who dislike are fancy food promoters 🤣🤪. Rujutadiwekar is best gift for Indians. The way she talks about society’s role in women’s life is something no one ever talked without mocking a religion or a caste. Her true intentions shows how beautiful she’s inside and out. ❤️🙏

    I liked the way you defined "Upavas”. So before your body shouts “silent hoja nahi toh main violent hojauga” it is time for some upavas. And Lent is for a period of 40 days.

    Unpopular opinion here: I am a big believer in Rujuta's food philosophy but IF and TRE are not as superficial or vague as Rujuta makes it seem, she should have done a little more research on these topics before coming across as ignorant... some people dont eat anything because of their relationship with food or fear but that is not what IF or TRE is. There is plenty of research done which are freely available for anyone to read about why IF or TRE works. It is not just for weightloss, it targets insulin resistance. And most of the info on TRE and IF are freely available online, nothing is sold by people who actually want the general public to benefit from it. Expected better from my food mentor.

    You break things down in such simple , logical and layman terms . totally love it , encourages people to want to follow traditional fasting ways , given there is so much confusion in numerous modern diet plans ,which is totally unnecessary and over all messes with health on a long run when tried and tested it .Thanks for this , all your videos have pointers for a long and healthy lifestyle.

    One point that she made is not entirely true. When she said that yogis do not fast - not true. My Guruji, Paramahasa Yoganadaji advises his students to practice “judicious fasting” on occasion. And he prescribes specific fasts in His Lessons for Self Realization Available from Self Realization Fellowship.
    That said, she did give an interesting talk and made some good observations.

I am saying this because I know that you do things which are absolutely needed to preserve our food traditions and you do things out of responsibility as well. So, I know you will understand that you have a greater impact on people and things coming from you go really far-I mean in number and impact both.

    • @TheGhastlybaker
      @TheGhastlybaker Před 3 lety +3

      @@urvisingh491 IF or TRE doesn't work like that ... it's not if you dont lose fat with 16 hours ... do 20 hours... if a practitioner prescribes that... they probably do not understand it well. It is flexible and doesn't need to be extreme. In fact, there are some similarities between Rujuta's nutrition strategies and IF ... both prefer finishing your last meal with sunset, avoiding refined carbs and processed food
      That being said, there are different views too like taking coffee, tea in IF to suppress hunger whereas Rujuta champions our hunger signals.... Whatever whoever says... each has to try to focus on health and see what works best for them.
      We should not banish new ideas by feeling threatened or because we do not understand it enough.

    • @shahrags
      @shahrags Před 3 lety

      Yes, there is. We are not allowed to eat grains and sea salt. We eat stuff which are gluten free and rock salt is allowed which is all good for your health. It also brings diversity in your food. Remember our ancestors used to eat rock salt. Also no tamsik food during fasting. There is another level of science on why certain foods are considered tamsik. Also tubers like sweet potato, raw banana, ratalu etc are allowed during fasting and they are all very good for women's health. Rajgira, sama, singhade ka ata is all gluten free and good for health also gives break to your system from digesting gluten.

    Well said …IF or TRE are also trends like Keto etc. There are entire industries promoting these trends and they are unproven and unhealthy. Occasional beneficiaries also end up having disastrous health in long term - but that this industry never wants to share on loudspeakers like it advertises their so called benefits.
    Centuries proven wisdom vs money minded few years old non-proven trends with “Modern Research” which changes every year.
    People commenting this is not IF - please go and read your research first. Actually IF has given backfired on so many people and there are not even 0.1% success stories after so many efforts.
    Common sense wise also it is stupid to not realise importance of Sun in digestion. Those who say stop eating after sunset - that’s what she said cultural appropriation - that is what our culture teaches anyways. However skipping breakfast and all are severely unhealthy habits in long term.

    Looks like Rujuta man strongly is critical of intermittent fasting or Autophagy which coincidentally is a noble prize winning concept, but of course that would destroy her own theories which she has been applying on clients (high prolife) for years so she has to stick to her old school thoughts. Well I do very much believe in all our Indian traditions and do follow but If Rujuta Diwekar criticises Intermittent fasting ,then many followers /believers would be at a loss.. well even I have looked up to her when it comes to nutition.but this video has disheartened me... And her closing remark when she says fasting is not essential is just not acceptable. Well if people do follow intermittent fasting no one would need dietiens like Rujuta Diwekar.

    Still more research required. Eating in limits , keeping stomach only 75% full. Depends on your region and country what is available you eat that normally. Eat twice or thrice but yes monitor your hunger. Practice what body signals it's sending you. You will understand when to eat and not. As rujuta said India is a land of Yogies. But Yogi ate very less may be twice a day only, some time just one meal. But their yogic practice be it a devotional meditation or whatever which enhanced their soul then as years gone by those Yogies got rid of the bodily temptation or cravings so naturally they win over the hunger of stomach and other senses. Life is a journey how do you wanna travel it depends on you. It's a journey of soul.

      I’ve done the 3 day juice fast and I’ve had lasting results. Like it is really a reboot for your body and food preferences. You don’t crave for spicy food/fast food much unless you voluntarily cultivate that habit again. It leans more on naturopathy and veganism. And the knowledge sessions they do did make sense.
      Through the lens of this video, it’s more a mix of traditional and modern fasting. Though I agree with whatever Rijuta says, I cant help but feel that the timing and the tone of this video is targeted specifically against the juice fast, but I might be wrong too.
      What I’m saying is, there is no right or wrong. Good or bad. Just because something is “modern”, it doesn’t have to be always bad as projected in the video. You have to try it yourself to understand what a concept is all about and whether a practice works for you. But it’s okay. She is also an influencer dietician too!

      But what wrong things she said according to u?? Don't u know how we practice traditional fasting by eating a lot of things that we don't usually eat and it is for a limited time but in intermittent fasting we have to starve ourselves for 16-20 hrs for 2-3 months of even more

    With all due respect, all that you have mentioned here about IF is hugely incorrect. IF is not about restricted calories to begin with. That’s first! Secondly, IF doesn’t allow chai and smoothies as you mentioned in your video, grossly incorrect. Suggest you read up or research better before you blindly lash out on the tried and tested theories. IF directly correlates with eating and non eating windows, induces AUTOPHAGY, if you look it up, its not as “new” as you cite it on your video. Also your video on what Diabetics should eat was condemned by renounced Doctors and Diabetologist’s across the nation. Pls check the video on Dr. Pramod Tripathi where he has exposed truths about your video and how badly it has harmed people. I suggest you keep it simple and don’t leash out on proven theories without proper knowledge. Also, in our traditional UPWAS, do you realise how many calories one consumes on an average ? It would be more than what a person would consume on a daily basis. Pls do speak about that next time. Thanks 🙏🏻

    Sorry, will not agree with you . Body has to heal and your advise to people not to fast does not seem right.
