Thank you for this. I've returned to Orthodoxy after leaving the church for 10 years as a hostile calvinist persecuting the Orthodox church. Deacon John at your parish befriended me online and was patient with me and helped me to return to Orthodoxy and I repented for my sins and meet regularly now with the priest at my Parish. These teachings are a blessing. Thank you.
Thanks so much for this. I've been Orthodox for two years and so thought this might be unnecessary for me, but I have found it greatly beneficial and edifying. Glory to God! 🙏☦️
I love this organized structure of classes and lectures Father Truebenbach has. I am living in California now, and want to enroll in his classes. I will listen to all his lectures, and much appreciate them all very much. He really cares. I want to become a catechumen. A real motive to move to SLC .
I cant do items 2 and 4 because i am watching this online. I hope to come to a liturgy this winter since I may be blessed with the ability to travel to Utah

I’ve been looking into orthodox Christianity and had seen videos of you on Matt Whitmans CZcams channel. I love how these are online for others to see.
“We know more about the human brain than at any time in history, and yet we have more people seeking psychologists and therapists than at any time in history. We know more international cultures and relations than ever before, and yet we seem to have more wars and more tension than ever before. We know more about medical science than ever before, and yet we seem to have more illnesses and cancers than ever before, and more fear about health than ever before. We have more access to constant entertainment and comfort, and yet we have more depression and anxiety than ever before. The more advanced we seem to become, the more miserable and worse off we seem to get, and yet we rarely question that. What’s happening? What’s happening is simple. We’re finding supposed security in all those advancements, and so we’re no longer seeking God. We think we need God less because we have all the answers already. Why do we need to go to an invisible God when visible man has all the answers? In other words, even in the most advanced and normal times, man is still unfulfilled. There’s a sense within us that things aren’t the way they’re supposed to be.” BEAUTIFUL. And it just gets better from there
Thank you for these videos! I am glad for these and so many other Orthodox videos I have watched. I began investigating Orthodoxy in Spring of 2019, began the process of joining and then COVID and a move to an area with no church nearby put my journey on hold. I am back in Phoenix again and began the process again several months ago. Being made a catechumen FINALLY next month. So glad and humbled to have finally find the church.☦
With my PTSD, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, etc. mix, neither slave, nor employee, nor family conditions seem real; it seems to me there's a condition missing, one where a person hasn't the energy to feel motivated and out of sheer weariness just says, "Heaven, hell, whatever; do to me as You will".
Thank you for all of this. I am trying to learn more but the onlything i jave ia the bible. I know more has tonexist and more importantly i need to know how to think orthodoxy and worship.

Everything said by Fr. Maximus in the book is completely Orthodox and worthy of attention. The author (Markides), however, takes a modern, syncretistic viewpoint that often skews Fr. Maximus’ words. What is the orthodox position on monistic idealism specifically the idea that each persons mental faculties are a dissociation of the mentality of god (universal mind) meaning that each person is in part god and personal identity is meaningless after death as the ego functions for survival here but doesn’t carry on after death
@@frpaul In my case, all I had to do was ask the priest and he told me to come Sunday morning for chrismation. I’d only been to the Divine liturgy 6-7 times. sorry, but can anybody tell me if he is in communion with the Greek church?
I am a Priest of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese, which is in communion with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
Publish it.
Can a catechumen select a pre schism western saint for their baptismal name?
Absolutely!
Is it true that if I was baptized in a Protestant church I only need to be chrismated?
It depends on the jurisdiction and the parish. Some will chrismate; others would baptize.
