Spiritual Vitamins are great
☦️☦️☦️
I thank God for these words you have spoken. I needed to hear this.
Inshallah I will have this level of compunction 🙏🏻
Just a quick question based on that suffering section. You said that we suffer because we are sinful, it is expected. So how would this pan out for saints if they essentially don't sin. Some are martyred, etc. I definitely am missing something and want to learn more so could you please answer this.
Thank you, Father Paul. A good word, indeed! 🙌
I can relate to this topic because sometimes my parents tend to sometimes argue about orthodoxy especially sometimes if they don't like certain aspects of orthodoxy or don't like specific services in orthodoxy and how its conducted. Then they compare it to catholic services since my parents used to be coptic catholic and then they make an argument about how they prefer catholisam and dis-like orthodoxy especially when my relatives get involved in covincing them and imposing there views on my parents it then makes my parents argue about it. I don't like to argue. I would rather there be peace but sometimes my parents insist on arguing with me about it which is upsetting.I try to make them sometimes like it but it aways ends up in an argument. although mt parents refuse to get re-baptized as an orthodox convert. I am proud to be a Coptic Orthodox Christian and always will be. I am glaf that I have been raised in orthodoxy. Its annoying when my relatives impose there anti-orthodox views on my parents. I really like your video. Thanks for the advice Fr.Paul
Beautiful sermon. Thank you for sharing
Just managed to order a secondhand copy on amazon uk. Thank you for this recommendation!
Thank you for your videos! I would love to buy this book, but the postage to Britain is too much.
That clean house example really hit, I do clean because a messy house makes me anxious, but this is a remarkable shift for me.

I am a new Orthodox Christian who was once a Trappist Monk in the RCC. I love spiritual practices that bring us closer to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit -- One God. This was a great gift!
Amen

Wow
This reminds me of what John the Baptist said, “He (Jesus)must increase and I must decrease.” And also Philippians 1:21 “…to live is Christ and to die is gain” thank you sir for this reminder.
Meaningful message.
Powerful message
let us who have ears hear ☦️
beautiful fr ☦️
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. (St Francis Assisi). Think it associates with this speech that came so timely with my personal troubles.
Thank you for that. When I was a little girl, we would sing this in church. Now, as an adult, the song has real meaning for my life.
love these vids they are helping me so much to understand the old testament (Hebrew Bible)
Amazing! Words of Wisdom just apt for my life. Thank you Fr. Paul❤!
Thank you for these videos. We are so thankful.
I mean this with the greatest of respect as I am not Orthodox, just interested: where is the wisdom in not eating at all for a day? Why is being hungrier earlier in the day a temptation from Satan? I understand that there is an ascetic principle behind fasting, but starving oneself just seems unwise to someone like me (who is secular-minded but interested in the spiritual life)
I think its about the last words not just to avoid temptation but to hit it back. In orthodox, fasting makes the soul more independent and enforces spiritual power. Athletes of Christ have their asceticism extreme in our eyes but bearable for them. Each one of us has their own cross to carry, specificially adapted to one's salvation. Me and you could hit back with eating less for example, but someone with great devotion unroots themselves as much as possible from earthly matters to ascend to highly spiritual lifes. Thats my opinion.
In our modern times there is an emphasis on physical health and diet as people seem to disregard spiritual health more and more if not completely. An ascetic like St. Ephraim could miss a meal and still have the physical strength to complete his daily tasks. Frankly most people on a Western diet can afford to miss several meals with only positive effects (see the rise of intermittent fasting). We are instructed to disregard our physical lusts and wants when they begin to inhibit our spiritual life. The Orthodox Church knows that the spiritual and physical are connected and that by dominating the physical, we can strengthen the spiritual. Hope this helps.
You will show the Lord who you really are when you deprive yourself from the simple things in life. When hungry, under discomfort and resisting simple pleasures, it shows who you really are spiritually, and how much willpower you have. A goal for many Christians, esp in Orthodox and Catholicism, is to have a will uniform with the Lord's. It is far from easy.
Amazing .These are trully spiritual vitamins .Thank you father all the way from Croatia.Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on us .
Fr. Paul if it weren’t for you personally i’d never have become Orthodox. You have been one of the biggest impacts on my life in this way and I wanted to say thank you
