Thank you for your videos. I’ve watched about 4 from this series so far because I’ve been interested in Orthodox Christianity. Something always felt missing in my non denominational churches and I think I’ve found why. Catholicism and orthodoxy both caught my attention. I knew all of that history wasn’t a facade! I’m 25. Claimed a Christian world view my whole life but wasn’t saved until a few years ago so I’m still learning and getting to know The Lord. Thanks again! I’ll definitely be watching the entire series albeit not in the right order haha
Thank you Fr.! I've been interested in Orthodox Christianity for a while and this is incredibly helpful. I had an experience with the Lord a year ago and He has completely transformed my life and I want to serve Him, worship Him and contribute to the community the best way possible. I feel Orthodox Christianity is beautiful, and full of truth and authenticity. I can't wait to visit my local Orthodox mission.
6:34 Principles to memorize:- 1st Principle: Our worship informs our theology. Our theology informs our worship. 2nd Principle: The most true and purest theology is first experienced and then spoken. 3rd Principle: Theology is stating in human and finite words something that is divine and infinite.
I was reminded of something a church history professor said about the Small Catechism by Martin Luther, that it was all from the Fathers and not from Luther himself -- and then he commented it was too bad Luther didn't continue that way!
18:30-18:38 I’ve experienced this. It’s real. As sure as the LORD lives and as you live, it is real. I can’t describe it. It’s like a blanket of peace but even that doesn’t fully describe it. My brain would melt if I tried
Thank you for your clarity on the ecumenical council’s purpose and its pure intention of putting worship into words as a last resort to ensure souls are not misled from the salvation of Christ.
Thank you, father, for this series. I am a cradle Orthodox, and I find this series very helpful to me. Listening to this specific lecture, I am reminded of II Corinthians 5-6 and onward.
"your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." To me tells me that Respect and Love for the Lord is the ultimate fulfillment in both Earth and Heaven. And its true. Anyone who has been addicted to something or suffered slight after slight in any notion, and festers in it, they have turned away. It is as was written.
*The internet is not a good place to find Theology* oof...😆 lol Luckily Fr. Justin of St. Xenia endorsed this, Fr. Truebenbach's course for me.... hahaha
Thank you for these videos. If I may, keeping up with the flow is almost impossible with how many ads are interspersed between. I'm not sure if this is CZcams's problem or not though.
24:58 Theology is stating in human and finite words what is divine and infinite. Can human and finite capture the divine and infinite? No, so theology doesn't have the capacity to properly define the uncreated reality of God. "This means that theology is impossible."
Eh. I've seen her trying to sell her books and don't find anything worth buying. It's like shes trying to sell common sense, extremely basic knowledge, and a few greek words.

That's a CZcams thing. I have no control over ads.
Anyone know which book it was by the Protestant pastor on prayer that he is referring to? Wondering if it’s one I’ve read.
24:58 Theology is stating in human and finite words what is divine and infinite. Can human and finite capture the divine and infinite? No, so theology doesn't have the capacity to properly define the uncreated reality of God. "This means that theology is impossible."
I've been trying to find sources of Aquinas destroying his own works.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Eh. I've seen her trying to sell her books and don't find anything worth buying. It's like shes trying to sell common sense, extremely basic knowledge, and a few greek words.
I listen to her podcast and have read both her books and really enjoy them
