- In this video I visit some of the more popular areas of Teesdale, in particular some of the waterfalls found in the area. I start at the village of Holwick before heading out to visit Summerhill Force at Gibson's Cave followed by Low Force on the River Tees. I then hike upstream to visit the most popular of them all, High Force before I take a very short hike to visit a relatively unknown gem, Bleabeck Force.

I could happily spend hours next to running water and just absorbing the serenity.
It is quite peaceful, from the roar of High Force to the beauty of Bleabeck Force I could quite happily just sit there for hours 😊
I had a walk to Gibson's cave , low force and high force on Sunday and what a beautiful place Teesdale is
Teesdale is indeed stunning, from the river itself to the mountains on its flanks, truly a hidden gem of a location
A nice film, and some first class photographs.
Thanks, they are lovely to photograph and I was very pleased with how they turned out, doesn't happy very often 😉
Thanks Duncan, hadn’t realised there was another waterfall after High force. Probably the nicest one to photograph. I could see you would have preferred finding yourself amongst the wilderness and I’m with you there. Still a great under appreciated part of our country.
Thanks, I do think it is underappreciated but where a person is after solitude it can be a bonus. Bleabeck Force is a fantastic photo opportunity, it reminds me of a shampoo commercial from the past... 😉
A stunning couple of miles. I always maintain that the middleton to Dufton stretch of the Pennine Way is by far the best section.
Thanks, yes I agree it is a stunning section with waterfalls, cateracts and of course High Cup, it is certainly a contender for the most impressive section 😊
Great to see you visiting these falls Duncan. Particularly enjoyed Bleabeck Force. A great day out. Cheers.
Thanks, although quite short it was a lovely relaxing hike out with some nice landmarks, fortunately there are still more to discover 😉
Beautiful hike, Duncan. I love the waterfalls. I caught your shoutout on Patrick's channel. I came for a look-see and have subscribed. New Subscriber from Stafford England. Quid Pro Quo? Irregardless, thanks for sharing. I love that you compose your own music too. I wish I was that gifted. I'm just an OAP hiking in the Peaks.
Thank you for your kind words and your subscription, it means a lot to me. We are blessed with a number of waterfalls in the North Pennines, nature done the hard work, I just capture them on video. Regardless of age it's nice to know you are still out there enjoying the sights the Peak District has to offer, that is the most important part of all 😊
Tremendous stuff papa!
Thanks son, don't think you get too many of these where you are at the moment 😉🤣
Nice one Duncan 👍
Thanks, although shorter than my usual ones I really enjoyed doing this one 😊
Another brilliant video Duncan. Each time I watch one of your vids, I keep telling myself I must get up to the North Pennines, and I'm determined to get there before too long! 😀 Love the look of Low Force and High Force, and those other two falls looked pretty awesome too. Thanks again for filming this walk for us all to see. All the best 👍
Thank you, hopefully my videos are wetting your appetite for the area, although Low and High Force are impressive due to their size the other two (Summerhill and Bleabeck Force) more than make up for it in their sheer beauty, hope to see you in these mountains soon 😊
@Duncan Baxter @solitary rambler I think you should both do a collaboration. 😊
good one duncan weve been there many times but only through bowlees wood to the top and over the moors, thanks for the memeries and great videos mate.
Thanks, Bowlees Wood is a lovely place to visit, very peaceful and Gibsons Cave etc just adds to it, well worth a visit 😊
