I'm not trying to lay this at your door, because I'm sure you are a nice enough chap, but I have a bit of 'history' with Birmingham City, as a Derbyshireman who adopted Norwich City back in my teenage years in the late Seventies and who follows them on away days around this part of the country, chancing my arm that I'm going to get hold of an away fan ticket and, if not, it's still a day out, as, back in 1997, I had one of my worst-ever experiences as a Canaries fan on the way back to New Street Station after a tense 2 - 1 victory for us at St. Andrew's, when I heard one of the local fans chuntering behind me, followed by feeling some saliva trickling down the back of my neck, which made me freeze in panic for a short while, wondering if worse was going to follow. Fortunately, there wasn't anything else, but it put me off wearing a yellow and green scarf at matches for life, if that's the sort of unwelcome attention I could get and it's made, almost needless to say, the Blues hardly my favourite club!
It's an early start from Belper for me on Saturday as I try to make St. Andrew's for lunch-time. If I don't get in I'm still planning on hanging around for the prospect of downcast Bluenoses leaving the ground come around 2.30 pm as we condemn them to League One football while securing fifth place, as that is a big deal for me, with it potentially keeping the dream of a Norwich - Ipswich Play-Off Final alive, assuming both Leeds United and Huddersfield Town do us some favours after Coventry City failed to do on Tuesday night.
Oh, I'm sorry to have to add this, but is BCFC such a massive club that it's ever achieved anything like beating Bayern Munich away, in another one of those 1 - 2 scorelines?
I watched a couple of podcasts last night then it struck me ...........
i cant actually remember a season in the last ten years that i have enjoyed , always struggling and fighting relegation and this season tops the lot
Personally i cant wait for Saturday to be over , the power of social media has got everybody stressed out of their minds
If we go down we go down , we need a complete clear out and reset whatever division we are in

Who was there that day in 1982 when Mick Harford scored against Coventry to keep the Blues up? Can still see him running towards us. Thats 42 years ago now. If you are a Blues fan this is what you sign up for. It’s a lifetime of escapes, near misses or falling off the cliff edge, with the very occasional great moment; ie beating Arsenal for the league cup. What will be will be all part of being a Blues fan.

You have to have 10 players in your squad who were in the previous game so yes the rules changed but because you can now take far more subs to a game he can - if he wanted - rest most of the best players on the bench. I can see him resting a couple who are key and none of them will want to risk injury. So we won't play Norwich at their meanest but I still think they will be better. What I do know is they won't play the final 30 mins with the same level of desperation and urgency so the key is to keep in the game right to the end. I do agree that the club showed loyalty to Venus and I think that back-fired and that run of his games sunk us. As for League One, if that's where we end up then so be it but there is no upside to it. It will hit finances and recruitment and waste a minimum of two years.

Norwich will be in for the points, we will get nothing as the team have proved, they cannot play the formation, players will face the consequences for a lack of effort, lots will be out of work
I think we got a good chance of beating Norwich. Then this would mean Plymouth have to win and Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday have to draw to stay above us. We automatically will be ahead of Blackburn if we win and they lose as we both -16 goal difference so ours would be say -15 and there's would be -17.
Even if we had of beaten Huddersfield I dont think it would make much difference, because it's easier playing for a win than playing for a draw which knowing would backfire anyway.
I think Wagner will change 5 to 7 players from their last game. Fairly confident KRO

You know my thoughts, it’s a huge mountain and sadly we are climbing it in flip flops. I see no other ending but relegation. If we are going to do a Caddis it will be a Myoshi goal that bundles in, but Plymouth are going for it.
So let’s see if we can hire in some mountain boots or they turn up in flip flops, time will tell but either way let’s back the team and TM next season regardless of the league. It’s tough but the turbulence of this season must play havoc with a team and sadly we have been hit with this.

Its funny really, and they are giving us entertainment at least.
On a serious note, dont let it eat you up so much, its sport at the end of the day. Whether we are in the Premier League, Championship, League 1 it doesn't really have any material influence on our day to day lives.
Job security, health, personal relationships they are the issues that deserve any significant emotional investment.....put this into context, it's fine, whatever the outcome.

Peter. Well said. Like if we stay up you don't get any more pay. It's always best to have other hobbies not just football otherwise Blues will drive you around the twist, hopefully better times ahead though. My many hobbies are athletics and the darts.

If and when we get relegated, we should look to the example set by Ipswich last season and continued into this season. If we can follow that,we would all be pretty pleased.
