Good stuff man. Thanks for posting. Racing ChampCar there this month and have never run NCM.

Yeah no problem. Turn 16 can be taken way faster if you have aero. It's no discussed in the video but you go left up the hill and turn right going over the top instead of straight and you can take it flat... in a miata.

Thanks for making this video, one of the better racing line videos I've seen. Great resource for Miata drivers going to NCM.

@@CastellawSpeed Looking forward to seeing the next one. I'm going at the end of this month with NASA. I'm going to try and take a lot of notes, I'll try to let you know if I learn anything different than what you have in the video, thanks again.

@@CastellawSpeed Back from the weekend at NCM and my laptime from my last visit really dropped, and your video definitely played a part in that! The only thing I found different for my application was a slightly later turn in on 6. Two visuals I picked up on were for turn 8, I would look ahead to the upcoming flagstand around turn 9 and drive to it, that really helped me set up for that blind apex. On turn 16, where the dirt patch is you aim for- there is also a flag pole in the background. If you line those two up, I found that set my car up at a great angle for that turn. Thanks again for the super helpful video!

@@111scotts no problem. Probably will have another one this year after our race in June with a miata with a lot of aero on it. Should be interesting

Nice lap. We run almost an Identical lap time but I do just a few things differently in my NB. I do 1A and 1B in 4th and downshift to 3rd while braking for 2. For me I'm less likely to over slow the car in a higher gear. When I go through 7 I aim more directly at 8 instead of running wide to set up. You do have a mini breaking zone at the top of the hill but you also shorten the track a bit. My car will bounce off the rev limiter (3rd) going down the hill towards 10. I usually don't go down to 2nd for 10. I usually just bog a bit at exit. I also have to go to 4th late in the S'es coming back onto the front straight. Enjoyed watching!

Yea I need to make another one now that my lap has improved from this. Figured out a way to take 15 and 16 flat and adjusted my line in a few areas to bring it down a couple seconds.

Do you edit in the gauges and track map, or do you have a way of recording it while you do it?

Shooting Cars its built into the data system we use. AIM evo4 is what is on the car using a smarty cam by AIM as well

What car was ahead of you in the lap at the end? The one that looked like it had no tail lights?
