Gotta work on that heel toe action, but it's still always awesome to see people ripping the 86 on track!
Always working on improving! Were you specifically talking about the downshifting on turn 6 where the catalyst told me to brake less? 😅
It was fun driving with you on Friday and nice to meet you! hopefully we'll cross paths again soon.
Likewise! I'm sure we'll see each other around sometime. Definitely want to make my way to NCM again.
Great video & a awesome Track. I was there in my FRS but in Street class.
Thanks! I think I saw you car out and about! Hope to see you at more events!
It pretty much stayed in the PHD Garage when not on track ha
Solid footage man! Crack on!
Appreciate the love, Logan!
Awesome track footage. Great Job!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support!
Awesome track day. Looks like a lot of fun. It must be a big track to having times over 2 min
3.15 mile track. Highly recommend if you ever get the chance!
Heck yeah!! Nice footage and its always good to see a triplet in action :)
Thanks! It was a great time!
So fun to relive this weekend! Awesome video dude
Always a good time man! You're gonna make an appearance in the next one!
Karting looked way more thrilling haha. Good stuff.
Karting is always a blast haha but being on this track was an amazing experience. The sinkhole literally feels like a rollercoaster.
Track looks super fun 🔥
Incredible track! Flows really nicely 👌
Hey remember when you spun out second time out on the track cause I do.
Remember when you almost threw up?!
Good stuff kevin 🤙
Thanks, Parker!
Out here shreddin
Coming to a track near you... 🤣
How do you attach your catalyst there? Like what do you use? Thank you in advance.
I used the included mount and mounted it to my dash trim. I'll be doing a video on it soon!
Nice save 3:00 🤙
The track did eat a few cars this past weekend, so I'm glad I didn't get too out of hand.
Was that a corvette giving a point by?! Im shocked.
Hey Kevin, Like you I picked up a cheap frs. Mine had rod knock and I swapped the shortblock for a new oem shortblock. It's running great and I am ready to try NCM. I want to go out in stock trim, I see you saw oil temps reach 260F at mid ohio before the oil cooler, what were your temps after the oil cooler? Any other issues you ran into the past season regarding reliability? Mine is stock except for full exhaust/oft stage2+ Thanks!
I believe last I checked it was in the lower 2XXs much better than the 260s. I would also recommending running 5w30 instead of 0w20 if you'll be tracking the car.
Excellent video. Looks like a nice circuit. How have you mounted your tablet/phone?
Thanks, Michael! I just used the mount that came with the Garmin Catalyst and mounted it to my dash trim. I'll be doing a video on it soon!
Looking forward to that. Trying to mount a small table in a similar position.
Awesome video. Too bad I have to travel over 2000 miles to get to a track from my state :(.
Maybe one day!
@@KevinVo We've never had a track like that here. We did have a drag strip at one point but it got shut down. There are some people trying to building a new one but it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. But you know if FT86 Speed Factory wants to sponsor a track and build one here...lmk :P
How are the wheels holding up after the track, obviously the tires are worn but the wheels and finish, hows that?
Wheels are still in great condition! Still look as good as new. I'm going to give them a cleaning here in a few days. The ceramic coat helps a lot.
@@KevinVo aight, just wondering cause I just spent like 2k on some Ray's 57crs from ftspeed a little bit ago, and I would be crushed if they got obliterated by the track, especially on my high school budget
@@Liam-nt8hn as long as you don't go off into gravel or something should be just fine.
@@KevinVo aight, ya where I'm at there's just lots of grass so I think I'm good, thanks for the help :)
Hey Kevin, what were you using to track your time out on the track?
I picked up a Garmin Catalyst in the off season and this was my first time using it. I'll be posting a first impression video here soon!
Not sure if you had seen this "Pro Racer's Take" video for a GT 86 on the NCM. czcams.com/video/-BSBcxo2liQ/video.html
Congrats! You certainly matched the time (7:42 mark in the video) of someone who is intimately familiar with that track. Thanks for the ride!
I haven't seen that yet, thanks for sharing! Glad I could at least match it 😂
