- Meant to do SA but picked Hammer by accident and then Bonked with it.
Some of the skill names are rough translations, expect them to be called totally different at launch.
SnS skill and Hammer skill share the same name here so that's kinda nice.
SA will come in a few hours, already started working on it.
Get access to the hidden moves by using the cheat engine.

Hey Harv-E, do you know if the wire charge works immediately after impact crater? I think that would be a game changer.
That wire charge is the thing missing in Rise. A simple repositioning move that maintain charges because using normal evade during charge restart the charge level.
but the one replacing spinning bludgeon keeps charge level as well if you press charge again
that's just a shorter dash breaker without the extra smash
It'd be useless though since it eats at your impact crater spam time by using a wirebug

Wire charge is so simple yet sooo good and spinning bludgeon charge is gonna go so well with it. Both strength and courage are gonna feel amazing now! So hyped to play hammer!

Ooooh, so that's how it works. Like the courage stance for blue, it's alternative to the regular yellow charge.

Was just playing GU a bit ago and had to kill a Barroth, and we all know Barroths are fucking wack, so I picked up the wacking weapon, the bonk. Having enjoyed bonking, and restarting Rise again over on PC, I decided to stick with it and I'm glad to see it's getting some major upgrades. This is sick moves.
I honestly can't wait to try all of these moves, hammer is looking great in sunbreak.
I'm still unsure about "Spinning Bludgeon: Charge" and its possible applications, but the Wire Charge looks very nice. Together with the overhaul of the "Courage mode" and the new Impact Press I'd say Valor Hammer is back and stronger than ever!
I wasn't the biggest fan of hammer in Rise, but this new playstyle looks so fun that I'm considering to add it to my mains.
By the way, does anybody now if the extra hits from Impact Press apply element? Because if they do... I see hammer potentially becoming an elemental beast in Sunbreak with all these multi-hit attacks.
Wire charge maintaining chrage level is all I wanted to hear (it's even better than that, see edit).
Spinning Bludgeon Charge imo partly fixes the worst part of Rise Hammer, that being the yellow charge mode. The dodge by switching modes is really good but often you would have to switch right back to blue, which kinda killed the combo flow Hammer in Rise clearly aims for. With a much faster lv3 charge attack and a fast, charge level maintaining switch back to blue mode, this seems to fix this problem.
Also I never liked the spinning attack tbh.
So many small yet significant changes to Hammer that make it even better than it already was in base Rise.
Edit: fuck it, it's literally the perfect iteration of Hammer imo since it's confirmed that wire charge has i-frames.
the main issue is how yellow could have been good for elemental damage, but the developers decided elements were stupid for some reason and nerfed them for almost all weapons

There's no telling if the damage will improve but at least it looks SMOOTH.

You can still play the old way and go strength mode just sprinkle impact cratar along the way. I was able to kill demo malzeno playing the old normal way with hammer

are these new silkbind skills unavailable in the demo? i cant seem to use the spinning bludgeon charge and wire charge
Yes these are locked in the demo and unavailable unless you use cheat engine to unlock them.
Does the wire charge have s? Those dodges looked more like physically avoiding the hitboxes but some were close.
Can you confirm if the move has s or not?

It is an I-framing move, That Rathian Tail swipe and Astalos Dive would've got me if it's not for those I-frames.
This move is pretty much the same as GS new silkbind evade.

YES thank god. Wire Charge was EXACTLY what the hammer needed. If it can be done out of any move hammer will be godlike. The amount of times I’ll get a small flinch while in the middle of a combo that causes me to miss is astronomical. With Wire charge that won’t happen anymore and we’ll be able to take advantage of the multiple flinches and KO we cause. Game changing move for sure

Sunbreak changed it so comboing your charges instantly puts you at full charge

Does it only look like you have negative Range or is the range actually terrible with Hammer in Rise? Haven't tried Rise Hammer yet
Hammer is short range, but it's slightly positive in my experience.

I wish I knew what the hell is happening with these new moves specifically like are you holding the charge releasing or holding the charge then attacking and charging constantly like HUH
Holding charge button while your hunter starts swinging in that move let's you charge it up, then switching to blue will keep the charge level and you can do a quick follow-up

It looks lame but this is exactly what the hammer needed during the malzeno fight. a way to counter or during unavoidable attacks

Hammer doesn't need flashy moves. Just needs to be able to bonk monsters.

They just disabled them for the Demo.
How are you able to use them tho? Did they leave em in the code of the demo? Or are you playing on like a press build or something?

Yeah, it lets you keep charge when going from yellow to purple, and keep charge while dashing. Also courage is buffed in Demo, your lvl 1 charge is the same, when you go for the second charge after first it charges quicker, and third charge after second is instantanious. Also there are quicker ways to get into 3rd courage charge, if you charge after golf swing (regular or even Water Strike one) you go straight into max charge lvl3. On top of that new buff works well with courage because it buffs all your charge moves. Im not a pro, but I think courage would be playable now.

More like a completely different move with a completely different purpose in mind.
I was kinda eh on it, seems kinda boring, but the fact that you keep your charge lvl and it has I-frames is really good.

Tbh. I hate playing with Hammer users since majority of them only knows how to upswing and launch me in the Air.. No other weapon in this game gives me such problem..

@@Xenonfuji What's with Longsword? If I equip Flinch Free 1 none of his attacks will affect me.. Hammer's Upswing tho even with Flinch Free 3 will still launch you..
