Yeah, he’s good. 😀 But let me just say that Smith & Wesson should really stick with making guns. The reason I say this is because I bought a set of Smith & Wesson throwing knives and three of the six knives broke right in half. 😢 I also bought a set of throwing Tomahawks also S&M and the first day I threw them one of the four shattered. S&M aren’t very good at blacksmithing blades. Very disappointing.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm not sponsored by S&W or anything. I just bought a set of there knives to throw. The good thing about their knives are, they're not too expensive and at least they will stick. Quality is just "ok".
@@Rozza43 When I start throwing, I litteraly measure the distance to target. Watch how your knives the target. I move up or back til I get it right then throw as much as you can everyday if possible. Good luck.
Love your skill, nice grouping. I personally hate that design with the cut out grooves in the handle. It serves no functional purpose but it creates an extra space where your finger tips can catch on those edges, depending on your preferred grip and throwing style. It's purely an aesthetic choice. Someone will inevitably jump in to wrongly claim that A) that is for balancing and that B) balancing is important for knives you intend to throw. Both are incorrect, there are some techniques that actually favor an unbalanced weight distribution, and others that favor balance-- but many common practical throwing styles are relatively easy to adapt to many different kinds of knife, or even including any long sharp object like bigass construction nails. I suppose the grooves may help slightly with aerodynamics because it's an extra space for air to pass through the knife, but that's completely unnecessary-- some (most) of the best throwing knives don't have that. Seems pretty clear S&W was going for something like an Expendables tacticool LARP with this design. Now I'm curious if I'd consider these overpriced or not, and what quality of steel they use. Gonna go look them up 😂
I have the same ones in black and i wish I'd gotten the silver ones because if you miss the black blends in with the leaves and you spend 30 mins looking around the yard with a mechanic magnet 😂😂😂😂
Yea... The silver ones show uo nicely, especially when the sun is shinning. It,s been so cold out, I haven't been throwing for a few months but it's finally warming up a little. Thanks for viewing.
So i love my Smith & Wesson M&P .40 but I was always a little skeptical about S&W knives. Why so cheap I wondered? Well that stopped a few years back when I decided to pick up an OTF S&W knife as my workhorse knife.(so i dont put wear and tear on my expense knives) That damn knife is rock solid. Its easy to sharpen, holds a good edge, and is still functional after the hell i put it through. Turns out S&W knives are cheap because they dont overcharge like so many other companies. Rare thing this day and age.
I carry a Smith and Wesson M&P shield 9 mm and hace the S&W AR-15 223/556. I'm 77 years old and Smith & Wesson has been around a lot longer than me so they must be doing something right. Thanks for watching my vid......
Well that’s amazing because I bought a set of S$M throwing knives and three of the six broke in half the first two weeks of throwing them. I must’ve gotten defects because eventually the other three broke in half as well. Unlucky me I guess.
They were for me after I found the correct distance. After two years, I'm still throwing the same Smith and Wesson knives I started out with. Once you change knives, you'll have to adapt your throwing method to those knives. Thanks for viewing.
Sorry. I don't. While trying to hone my own skills, I'm not sure I'm ready to teach others. I can tell you the basics are to find the right disstance that works for you (mine is 14 feet) and don't change that distance until you get good at it. Don't worry about hitting the bulls eye. Just concentrate on sticking the knife. Also, try different ways of gripping the knife. There's videos on the three major grips. Try using a soft wood as a target. Cottonwood is a very soft wood. The main thing is practice. Thanks for watchingmy video.
I usually just watch these videos for the scenery but you sir have made me pay attention to the skills of knife throwing
Thank you for your kind words and for watching the video. HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
