Pig snoots on my old Char-Griller
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 3 lety
If you've never grilled pigs snoots. You gotta try it. When done properly, they taste like a pork rind. NEVER put sauce on a snoot while grilling as they will never get crisp and crunchy. When you cam tap them with a spatula while they're on the grill and they break in half they're DONE.

A buddy of mine got me a set of these for my birthday one year. They are really reliable, but for me they're difficult to throw. I like the "la Fontaine" knives by "cold steel"...
The evolved version of throwing darts 👌🏻👌🏻
کارت عالی 🎉موفق باشید ❤🎉
چقدر کس میگید
Hahaha more practice… Looks like you’re doing pretty good to me…😅
Are you throwing with the handle in hand or the blade side?
Handle....
@@buddycarroll9641 thanks just got a similar set the other day in the mail. Starting to practice myself.
@@notsure9594 I throw by the handle and stand about 14 feet from the targer. You may have to adjust the distance to make it work for you. Good luck
Great
Thanks for watching.
These are not snooks these are jowls
If you listened to the vid, at 0:56, you will hear me mention "JOWLS".. Thanks for watching.
Nice throws!
Thanks,
That's good young man

I’d be out there learning from you all day man
Nice grouping 👍🏼😎

I was thinking Cornish pixies are the equivalent to squirrels the EXACT same time J said it!!
I think most kids would run out of class if a teacher let loose a cage of like 5 to 10 squirrels
BOSS
Thanks for watching,
Do you have any tutorial video! Trying to get into it! But. It’s hard
Sorry. I don't. While trying to hone my own skills, I'm not sure I'm ready to teach others. I can tell you the basics are to find the right disstance that works for you (mine is 14 feet) and don't change that distance until you get good at it. Don't worry about hitting the bulls eye. Just concentrate on sticking the knife. Also, try different ways of gripping the knife. There's videos on the three major grips. Try using a soft wood as a target. Cottonwood is a very soft wood. The main thing is practice. Thanks for watchingmy video.
Perfect sir thank you!
Never underestimate an old man with a good arm.
Thanks for the commennt. weather is warming up and I'll be able to go out and throw some steel.
I have the sudden urge to become a ninja now.
Get you some Smith and Wesson knives and get after it.. lol
What grip are u using
That may be a little hard for me to explian. All I can say is, I grip the handle toward the rear with about 2 inches of the handle in my palm.
This old man’s skill is like a fine wine. Judging by how accurate he is, he probably has mastered this. This is very impressive!!!
Solid accuracy brother man.
Thanks for watching.
I didn't know Hosea Mathews did CZcams
Just bought me a set, on Range Usa for $12
Wow.... You got a good deal there. Thanks for posting.
Are these a good first throw knife
They were for me after I found the correct distance. After two years, I'm still throwing the same Smith and Wesson knives I started out with. Once you change knives, you'll have to adapt your throwing method to those knives. Thanks for viewing.
I have the same ones in black and i wish I'd gotten the silver ones because if you miss the black blends in with the leaves and you spend 30 mins looking around the yard with a mechanic magnet 😂😂😂😂
Yea... The silver ones show uo nicely, especially when the sun is shinning. It,s been so cold out, I haven't been throwing for a few months but it's finally warming up a little. Thanks for viewing.
Spray paint them orange. Works for me.
Love your skill, nice grouping. I personally hate that design with the cut out grooves in the handle. It serves no functional purpose but it creates an extra space where your finger tips can catch on those edges, depending on your preferred grip and throwing style. It's purely an aesthetic choice. Someone will inevitably jump in to wrongly claim that A) that is for balancing and that B) balancing is important for knives you intend to throw. Both are incorrect, there are some techniques that actually favor an unbalanced weight distribution, and others that favor balance-- but many common practical throwing styles are relatively easy to adapt to many different kinds of knife, or even including any long sharp object like bigass construction nails. I suppose the grooves may help slightly with aerodynamics because it's an extra space for air to pass through the knife, but that's completely unnecessary-- some (most) of the best throwing knives don't have that. Seems pretty clear S&W was going for something like an Expendables tacticool LARP with this design. Now I'm curious if I'd consider these overpriced or not, and what quality of steel they use. Gonna go look them up 😂
Cowboy ninja
Thanks for watching and commenting... Cowboy ninja.... ? Thats funny.
Tight group!😮
The barn looks like it has a face and is panicking lol
Good skills bro
Thanks for watching.
Yeah, he’s good. 😀 But let me just say that Smith & Wesson should really stick with making guns. The reason I say this is because I bought a set of Smith & Wesson throwing knives and three of the six knives broke right in half. 😢 I also bought a set of throwing Tomahawks also S&M and the first day I threw them one of the four shattered. S&M aren’t very good at blacksmithing blades. Very disappointing.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm not sponsored by S&W or anything. I just bought a set of there knives to throw. The good thing about their knives are, they're not too expensive and at least they will stick. Quality is just "ok".
Thanks for that information Stevie 3 of the 6 knives you bought broke! Made in China?
Fun Fact Buddy Carrol is a damn American Icon. Also that Joe Biden once lost to Buddy Carrol at a game of darts.
