Thanks for sharing your knowledge. One of these days I’ll attempt to build a mkI, and I’ll definitely come back to this video…

Thank you very much for this! I think I'll keep my Descry, it can do the best of both worlds, absolutely.

Oh! Your explanations of those 3 circuits are a mine of gold I must say! I never think the tonal palette of those first mk1 were so intense. Even their volume pot affect the tone(assez incroyable). Are they built with the same transistors? Even the Descry can be very similar if not completely the same regarding the tonal qualities and even the "artefacts" are present at the start of note's decay(Anthony Macari) in TPS episode. Very impressive video!

The transistors are a little different in each but they all were chosen to get the most out of each pedals circuit and give a consistent quality in the range of tones.
      Glad you liked the video!

Thanks you Mike, What a great video to enjoy while having my morning coffee and noodling. Man they all sound so good! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼

Thanks! I have a hard time choosing one but Descry is so useful in a board to get lots of MKI tones and more.

Thank you! Very cool opportunity to understand a bit more about how these things operate. One thing worth mentioning is how great your MK1 pedals can stack with other fuzzes (or vice versa). I run a pretty aggressive octave fuzz into it sometimes, and setting the MK1 to gate at just the right place allows it to take a lot of rage on the front end without resulting in uncontrollable feedback the minute I stop playing.

I think you used germanium with big leakage, that's why fuzzpot working bad or gain max alltime. So i use bias trimpot 20k at the collector of Q2 to tune right working of fuzzpot ! Q2 better to take witn low leakage. Tonestack from mk3 - good idea. I usualy used filter on inpet between 1n & 10n like Kilimanjaro mk1 scheme. Q2 & Q3 do all that huge sound, that harmonics.
