Agreed but I don’t hate Jules. We saw first hand what kind of shit Jules was dealing with. She had the typical teenage issues with trying to figure herself out but also Nate threatening her with the tape and then forcing her to give a false witness statement to imprison an innocent man which could also land her in trouble. And then having to be perfectly supportive for Rue because she felt it was her responsibility whether or not Rue relapsed. She’s not a bad person in my eyes just someone that went though a lot and wanted to be loved endlessly.

Rue wasn't good to Jules either if we're being honest. Lots of Jules haters out here who don't hold Rue to the same standards. I like them both and don't have a favorite, but I've seen so much Jules hate while Rue gets mostly sympathy. They've both been through shit and they've both made mistakes. I personally don't find them to be a good fit romantically.

Honestly, I think both should be held accountable. I find that a lot of the comments suggest that Rue should be the victim and Jules should be considered the main villain, when in reality, they're both just wrong for each other. They share a love that many highschool kids would. It's full of romance, intimacy and drama, which is a side provided to us in season 2 by Sam Levinson. We're shown a side of their relationship that we will perceive as Toxic, and in Season One, Jules did affect Rue greatly, but the damage was always there. They damage one another and then justify it through the accompanied statement of, "I'm sorry. I love you.", and expect everything to work out. That's why they are toxic for one another
Rue didn’t constantly leave Jules drugged and drunk in the middle of the night in random roads by herself… knowing that there is a pedo in that very town …

Rue did nothing to Jules, Jules couldn’t handle being the light in Rue’s life. Everyone kept telling Jules that Rue was getting better because of her and Jules slowly started freaking out about it. Instead of talking to Rue about it she slowly did things to hurt Rue more and more. She lied about Nate, she started drinking around Rue while Rue was still clean, she cheated on her and told her she was in love with someone else but in love with Rue as well, and so much more. Jules was not a nice person. Rue constantly put her own feelings aside for Jules and let Jules walk all over her because she loved her. It wasn’t a healthy love for Rue because she didn’t want to admit how messed up Jules was but Rue never did anything to be mean to Jules. Rue started to see that Jules was being manipulative and thats when Rue began to pull away. Even in all of that Jules still never communicated with Rue and just cheated on her with Elliot and Narcd on her to her mom in some self righteous attempt to be a good person but in reality Jules was ruining Rue’s sobriety long before she even got on the train.

I like to think that maybe there is still hope for these two, did they both hurt each other, yes. I'm not going to dent that. It was pretty fucked up. But I think if there is a season 3, it could be them trying to work on themselves, Rue getting clean and Jules coming to terms with her life. I'm not saying they have to, it may actually be better if they didn't. But, it would be nice of they did.

Nope cause that’s actually what they tried on this season and this ending just shows how Rue and Jules aren’t meant to be, specially at this age when they’re still figuring out who they are.
if i was at rues shoes I would drop her. just because they were like the most perfect couple doesn't mean they're not toxic for each other, it's nice to let go of people that affected you, their relationship was bad even at the first season, rue and jules just need to stay out of each others lifes and focus on themselves, especially rue

Look, I respect that Jules is trans. What annoyed me was how she treated rue. She knew that rue was addicted to drugs, if she didn't want to get all caught up in the drama of that, she could have backed away from the start instead of letting rue get more and more attached to her. Also, the way Jules treated relationships was different how rue did. Jules was still in this Damm phase of figuring herself out, her gender, her sexuality, all of it. In my opinion, she should have stayed single till she got her Damm shit together. Rue was addicted to drugs, but rue knew who she, herself was as a person already, she knew she was gay, and that was that, she didn't go sleeping with every girl that she saw, she liked Jules and she tried to make it work with her. The problem was, rue wanted a solid relationship, even though she wasn't in a healthy mindset because she was addicted to drugs, and Jules wasn't looking for a solid relationship, she was trying to have fun... They were looking for completely different things in life. Did they care for each other? Yes. We're they good for each other? No. I don't know, that's my opinion.

Their chemistry was the main thing that kept the show going
The 3rd series could be particularly good - consider the following.
While most of the main cast were watching lexi's play and the resulting riot, nate faced off with his dad, handed him over to the police. I think Cal will get a lawyer involved to avoid jail time - and that could put jules in the crossbars for him.
Fezco was arrested following the shootout at his apartment. But I think it will result in him being processed at the police station around the same time as Cal, who he'd already butted heads with.
Rue still needs to pay back Laurie - and I think that her journey in s3 will be about trying to remain sober and on the straight and narrow while trying to pull the money together to pay off that debt.
There is still plenty drama to be had and I'm all for it.
Personally, I think there is too much chemistry to keep certain characters apart for too long (rue, jules and elliot, lexi and fez, cassie and maddie...i'd also like to see more of Ethans character as he seems interesting).
I sympathize with rue I'm very much like her and someone like jules hurt me and i cry every time i see this couple

Jules Hate (Spoilers)
Okay so I’ve noticed not a lot of people understand the theme of the show. I think the same protagonist phenomenon that happened with breaking bad fans and it’s main character, Walter White, is happening with Rue stans.
Rue is a drug addict. Rue’s whole plot line is the effects and devastation that drug addiction puts on the user and their close relationships.
Which brings me to Jules. Jules, like all euphoria characters, are FAR from perfect. But I feel like she’s VERY mild compared to the rest of the main cast. I feel like she’s the most misunderstood character in the whole show. And fans of rue hate her.
Lets start with her leaving Rue at the train station. Such a fucked up thing to do to anyone let alone your best friend/potential love interest. But we seem to forget why she did it. Nate Jacobs literally harasses every character he comes into contact with and Jules is no exception. Being black mailed into lying to police and sending someone to prison for a crime they did not commit weighed heavy on this 16 or 17 year old. Every day Jules passes by Nate in school, shares class with him and is reminded of what she had to do. It was probably soul crushing to bear that alone. On top of that she feels an overwhelming sense of responsibility regarding Rue’s sobriety in season 1. All of this piling on top of her would make ANYONE want to leave town. It sucks that she left Rue alone but she probably felt if they turned back, she’d eventually talk herself out of it and she NEEDED to get away.
Now regarding her relationship with Eliot. From day one Elliot liked Rue but he knew she wouldn’t have sex with him once he found out she was in a relationship. There was a slither of hope for him when they left Rue’s sexuality unlabeled when he told her he didn’t know she was gay. He sensed the cracks in their relationship when Jules interrogated him. Jules’s extensive sexual history obviously bothered Rue a little bit and when he saw the brief moment of instability In their trust for each other, he went for it. He played off of Rue’s detached approach to the relationship (do to drug use), and her shy and brief sexual history to appeal to Jule’s insecurity that Rue wasnt very sexual. When Rue and Jules dared to kiss Elliot to make each other possessive over the other, He took advantage and told Rue “lets make her (Jules) jealous” and they proceeded to make her so. Jules (already skeptical of Rue’s relationship with Elliot bares witness to her making out aggressively with him in front of her. Up to this point she just feels Rue is not ver sexual but when she sees Her passionately kissing Elliot, it makes her wonder if its a her thing. That maybe Rue just isn’t sexually attracted to her. Elliot’s goal was to play on dynamics that were dormant and cause them to erupt so that he could destabilize their relationship to ultimately get with Rue. So when Jules cheats, it’s after Rue literally tells her “I honestly cant stand you” ultimately confirming her fear and she goes to Elliot to fill that hole that heart break carves out in you.
One last thing that I lightly tapped on was Rues preoccupation with drugs (Another thing causing a rift in their relationship). Jules is so misunderstood and loves Rue and tbh deserves a lot better than how Rue has behaved. I hope in season 3 they reconcile though!
