That 1v3 was so well played. If you had an extra minute of fuel you could've won for sure. Go back, re arm and start the hunt for the A10.

It's not that bad I get an average of 1-3 kills a game and no not all with the R60s
@@jaiiii116 Maybe it's just my luck but the fact that it cant really turn and everyone has flares while you don't, almost next to impossible to use especially cuz of the uptiers, but maybe its just skill issue thats why i want a video on it
@@sharkao2686 it's hard to use but the best way to play that I found is when you take off go to one side (preferably one with hills to go behind so you don't get spotted) and stay low, the yak38 is best at low alt and you flank all the way behind the enemies and fire the R60s at distracted/un aware players then use your gun on slower vehicles like A10s, I usually get like 1-3 kills doing this every game.
Also if you get chased by someone your best bet is going vertical dodging guns and activating VTOL, I've killed several F-5s and F-104s doing this, its not a good idea to do it if more than 2 people are behind, even when there's 2 it's risky but it's worked almost everytime for me.
Fyi I have 2 Loadouts I use,#1 one S5k rocket pod on outer right pylon and the rest with R60s (you can use rockets as flares lol),#2 2 gun pods on inner pylons and R60s on each outer pylon (gun pods are very powerful in head on and gives you alot more ammo to ground pound to get more points while enemies RTB/camp AF)

Defyn, do you ever play air sim battles? You’d be fun to duel. It’d be interesting to see how your knowledge of all the aircraft and their capabilities and general skill at the game translate into a sim match.

I think if he really tried he could be really effective in sim. All he would need to learn is how to use a joystick, rudder, and track ir. At the start, he wouldn't even need track ir.
He played IL-2 when he was a kid, he said that in one of his 190a8 vids. He doesn't need to pick up any new skills to play sim.

Can someone summarize the differences in the flight performance between the A, the ADF and the MLU
mlu and adf are the same flight performance wise , a/aj have better flight performance they go like 1423kmh sea level while the mlu/adf is 1414kmh . the a/aj are going to have better dogfight performance but i dont have the data on how much better they are over the mlu/adf im pretty sure its a slight increase though

The regular one is the same with more ammo per gun and less burst mass

The B20 isnt worth the br bump imo but is still useable if you struggle with kills

So wait is the adf better or is the A better? On the stat card (taken with a pound of salt) there’s a noticeable jump in performance in the A that the ADF dosent have what am i missing?
Yeah, if anything I'd expect the ADF to perform better thanks to its noticeably bigger elevators, even if it's very slightly heavier.
The A flight model has better flight performance. It pulls 1 more G at any speed than the ADF (12 at mach 1 vs 11 on ADF on min fuel) and its about 300kg lighter so it also turns better at low speeds.
The ADF has no flight performance advantages that I'm aware of, only disadvantages, despite having the bigger elevator.
adf is block 15 while A is block 10 i think. it should say on the statcard

should i grind out the f-16 (us tree) or the MiG-29 (german tree), I am about the same progress in the tree in both but i dont know what i should grind for, i kind of just want a jet with some crazy flight performance and acceleration and ive heard conflicting information about the MiG 29 and F-16, I know the F-16 at high speeds sucks but at low speeds its very good apparently? but is it better than the MiG 29 at lowspeed, can it accelerate faster, does it have a higher top speed on the deck etc.
I would go for the mig 29 just because of the r27s. I always lose dogfights to mig29s because of those damn missiles.

Ive been going drop tank and 20mins. Having low fuel in the F16 turns it into an absolute monster. I just don't afterburn full throttle towards the fight.
imo, they should've let the F-16AJ have the landing gear door pylon's just to have it be unique since it's based off of the YF-16 which had it
Gaijin said that they didn't do that because it would have caused issues with landing gear damage effects a la landing gear falling off when damaged.

@@evo3s75 No. The entire issue is if the landing gear is damaged while in combat and with the missile still on the pylon. My guess is that it would then cause the missile to go off and then kill the plane.

As for the plane itself, it's a shame that it doesn't have the right 3d model, doesn't have sparrows on LG doors.
As per what it had IRL.
But oh, the Yak gets what it had on paper but NOT have IRL.
It's not that they're adding paper vehicles, it's that they're being wildly inconsistent.
The sparrows there were just for show, they would ditch the idea later on.

Sparrows were tested from those pylons, critical difference in this case, and issues were found (sparrow exhaust fumes entered air intake), but it was tested and proposed, google F-16AJ Sparrows and you'll find the brochure.
Even if just on paper, the Yak has paper features too, so it still should have had them in-game to stay consistent.
In so many words: Pair that with the Yak controversy and there's a pretty strong case.
Not bulletproof case, if they remove the Yak's paper features, but until then, a strong case.

Press your free look button. For me it’s C. It swaps your mouse from controlling your plane to controlling your camera.
I was hyped to play with this plane again after watching this, but now i have a question, what server do you play? because in my 37 games that i done this never happens, with an f16 you die pretty easy, sparrows usually just misse with a lock on the enemie, it makes no sense how you can do this so perfectly... and all i see is f16 suffering and btw mg29 needs nerf
f16 is going to srtuggle a lil if your stock and your team might be dying instantly so you dont get to do much
Matches like that first one are why I don't like change from 12v12 to 16v16 in ARB, there's just too many players on the enemy team for you to carry sometimes, particularly if your team basically crumbles in the first few minutes and then you have to RTB later. Not to mention the fact that first half of each ARB match now feels even more like AAB, just a massive disjointed 30 player furball with no planning or intricate maneuvers or climbling, just spazzing out in the center of the map with people latching onto the first guy they see and pressing left click until they die.
Yeah thats the thing with any 'usable' plane - you might be able to win with it if your good but if you come up against someone flying a decent plane who is also good your 100% cooked unless they throw the match so hard that they dislocate their arm in the process. Rip tornado and rip British jets.

The worst P-47 in game. It weighs a full ton (2,0000lbs) heavier than any other P-47 while having no extra hp to make up for it.

Anyone know what the keybind for resetting a IR missile lock is? Only keybind I seem to be missing and it loses me kills often because I'd be locked on the sun or some shit

Gaijin said that they didn't add them because of potential issues with how gear damage is modeled. I'd say that it is likely you won't be seeing them any time soon if they hold to that.

Not quite, I’d say the MLU is the best version because just more countermeasures but I understand that everyone forgets it’s existence since Chinese players only play A-5C
@@AWACSR3D the advantage of the MLU is in the countermeasures as you’ve said but also the drogue chute. The Japanese one however has the better flight performance with the smaller horizontal stabilizers allowing it to pull harder than the other F-16’s minus the Netz and the F-16A. Combined with the fact that it gets to carry sparrows and its just the best F-16 in the game.

@@areyou0k98 Japan got the F-16 based on a sales brochure ... soooo, with the same logic the French could get the F-15. The US even nicely painted one in French markings to attract this potential new customer
@@Sebastian-yl7nq A special variant was created and Japanese pilots were brought in to test and show off the F-16AJ, but they ultimately decided not buy it, whereas with the F-15 the idea to sell some to France was thrown out there but they weren't interested whatsoever due to them working on mirage 4000, so it's a bit of a reach for France to get one but nice try.
War thunder is one of the few games I feel could benefit from skill based match making but I can also see how it would be hard to implement since a quarter of the lobby usually doesn’t even get a single kill but this is also why I think it could benefit than these guys who can’t fly can’t get kills are shoved down and forced to fight people of a similar skill set thus they get to learn and get better and I can actually fight people who know how to fly their facking jet
But then I couldn't use my British planes if I actually had to fight opponents that knew how to fly... :(
Could it benefit? In theory. Realistically it isn't feasible with the population of the game at the moment. That said it also would very likely make things worse and encourage stagnation on the part of casual players as their derpy behavior gets more positive reinforcement than it currently does when facing off against similar derpy players.
A thing about air combat that largely gets overlooked by casual players is that air combat has significantly greater skill and knowledge requirements than any FPS does. Thus to actually be good actually requires a not insignificant amount of time and effort on the part of the person. Time and effort that casual players just aren't going to commit to. If they aren't going to put forth the effort to actually get better then is there any valid reason to help them out via skill based MM if it was possible?
If you want to play against people that know what they are doing jumping into a RB match in a casual player focused game like WT is the worst way to try to get said match up against a skilled player.
