- Making money in Tarkov is one of the most important skills to learn. It allows you to consistently have enough roubles to gear up for raids. There are a lot of guides on how to farm money or money making guides, but they are focused on maximizing the money you make per raid, and not all of the other factors that go into being profitable in Escape from Tarkov. Today we will help fill some of those gaps.

Im not sure why but smaller channels always seem to have so much better content than these top streamers
I appreciate the compliment! I have seen great content from people of all sizes, but I know, as a small channel, without a good idea and good execution, no one will find the vid let alone watch it. So, I do put alot of effort into these!
Because they stop caring bro, they get too comfy or forget why they were top in the firstplace.
Always
Top streamers all do the same thing because it works for them when they play 6+ hours a day
@@Jdohndough the top channels basically just montage pvp and leave out the shitty parts of a raid
An actually good guide! as someone who shift w's everywhere I often can loot and extract before players even arrive. I learnt the game this way and when you have a bit of money and confidence then you realise that you can do the same runs with tier 5/6 armor taking fights as they come and still making profit!
thank you for the kind words, and i 100% agree! Getting a nice base of money and confidence really unlocks the game in my opinion
I usually run at night with a pistol on lighthouse and make it out with 500k+ within around 7-10 minutes
yeah, that's a STRONG strategy for making money, probably the most optimal atm.
loothouse (sic) is phenomenal for scav runs too. typically hit chalet, helicopter, platform, and the trucks near the lighthouse to have a full inventory worth about 3-600k, and have only died on that route about 10% of the time.
with my -9 scav karrma i will have to take your word for it, but seriously, scav lightthouse runs are super profitable
"We got a rat here, damnit!"
If you can farm rogues, you can clear rogue camp in roughly 15 minutes and typically make 600 to 900k
@@jadonlimoges1830Impossible to do now tbh, the amount of AI scavs and player scavs bee-lining there is insane that makes it not even worthwhile anymore.
this is by far the most useful money making video about tarkov ive seen in my life and ive watched a few. i have the exact same philosophy as you and as a 1st wipe player it has got me to the point that I could lose 5 T7s in a day and shrug it off.
the part about BEING ABLE TO DEFEND YOURSELF is insanely important. for a long time I ran with gear i wasnt comfortable using (mosin) or running a cheaper sight to "save" money when in reality I couldnt hit anything using that sight. find the cheapest set that works for you, where you feel like you can at least have a 50% chance of surviving a 1v1 encounter.
you will be rich in no time
thank you for the kind comment, 100% agree, you need to run something that works for you. Spending a few extra roubles on a weapon that works for you really increases your survival rate, and therefore your money earning rate
Take this sub! Great information. You deserve much more views and subs bro.
thank you! i really appreciate the sub and the nice comment
really great video, thanks for the help!
great video, i have a feeling this is gonna help me a lot! keep up the good work
thank you, i hope it has helped!
Fire vid, will have to try this
This is then quality content i subbed for.Nice work man.
thank you for the kind words!
This video alone has earned you a new subscriber! Thank you!
Great video man keep em coming!
thank you, i will try my best!
Subscribed, amazing guide
Great guide. Keep up the good work
thank you!!
This is a GREAT guide for new players. I have been playing for years and most of the guides out there are not any good. This talks about the mindset and theory vs run this specific route.
thank you, that is exactly what i was going for! i have done some loot route ones but really wanted to talk about the mindset of how to make money and hope it helps people.
YES! and every popular streamers loot guide of "NO PEOPLE SO DEAD" instantly is such a hotspot because everyone hears no people and wants to run it
Great video dude, I feel like I've been doing alright at the game but don't seem to make money. (Sure I save a bit of loot) but this makes a lot of sense, thank you!
Also on interchange you can loot the grocery food store where nobody loots and food goes for crazy prices. 1 small food thing can go for 10k + on flea
Love the grocery store on interchange, might have to see how much a run their with a big backpack will net me in profit
Tarcola goes for 30k on flea
Wonderful guide
little tip, they raised the ammount of money it costs to get the potato rig, so instead get press armor and a bank robber / any other rig.
great call, also seems only 1 potato rig per trader reset...used to be 4 i believe
Very nice, thanks
hope it helped!
THANK YOU!!! i never knew loothouse could have so much i got a lucky spawn near chalet i couldnt spare the time to watch the loot guide on it tho
Nice !
Well, the only map i rush in on is Factory really. Map knowledge & game knowledge is genuinely key to this game & making profit. So unless i get a amazing spawn point i ususally hide in a bush or similar for a good 10 mins. Because by then the most trigger happy chads has rushed in & killed each other, turning my survival rate up at least 200%. Also quantity over random quality win every day (unless you are like in the top 10% of freakishly good at pvp & everything category). Also dont forget that it is just pixels in the end & make sure to enjoy & experiement with the more expensive gear too. Also scav runs incredible profitable this late in the wipe. My scav karma is 4+ at the moment & its nice but the real money is when you find an area that people hasnt looted because at this stage in the game they are pvping instead. If you are completely lost or broke try doing some night raids or hidden stash runs. The cheapest NVG set is like 30k not counting a helmet.
i appreciate you writing out such a thoughtful response! Scav runs(unless you are -9 karma like me) are super profitable as are night raids 100%. Love the idea of experimenting, its a game and meant to be fun. Lastly, as you said, it is just pixels.
So its not mandatory to hit water treatment on lighthouse?
Also what about woods ?
See, I normally just spend all my money. become poor get 10 mil spend it all. But I think I'll just do this with my already Shift + W playstyle and just make a ton of money then just focus on constant pvp and try improve. Really good guide and first video I've seen from you and pretty happy with it.
thank you for the compliment and let me know how it goes! i do like the get money and then spend it all method too.
Great video
Thank you!
In the beginning of the wipe i focus on running my Scav and PMC running caches and killing rogues. Then when im over about 50m ill quest and just go heavy PVP.
i really like that as a strategy, particularly if you have fun doing it!
id recommend upgrading the ratrig to a tvrig as soon as you can using ragman 3 with the barter, same weight better armour more space for around 30k more.
100% agree, I usually do this as I love the tvrig and I appreciate you mentioning it!
Of course scav runs have zero equipment cost and no possibility of loss. While you might not be able to get the traditional "best" loot - there's often a lot of good loot still available. The only annoyance is when you find lots of good loot but you didn't spawn with a lot of storage (in which case I go to where AI scavs spawn and hope I can find a big bag or rig on a corpse).
For my scav loot runs I hit the caches and abandoned town on Woods. (Unless I'm doing a task for Fence.) I've found the more caches you know the more loot you find. One nice things about Woods is there are no PMC extracts in the NW half of the map. So you're not likely to run into PMCs if you keep to that half of the map.
These are all really great points and no question scav runs are top tier for making money. Good call in woods too as it’s nerve wracking getting a big piece of loot and being unable to stash it!
You need to talk about woods. It’s incredible for making money for low risk. It gets even i easier if you go night time with NVgs
yeah, I've been hearing more and more people talk about woods. any areas on there you recommend, and 100% agree on the low-risk part
The extracts on woods give me nightmares.. i always use to long time on that map.. hate it xD
Nice vid bud
Thank you!
If you have a gamma you can buy a machete and hatchet run reserve if you really want money, get a docs reserve has so many filing cabinets that spawn ssd's and etc. that fit into your docs. Get a few keys near each spawn on reserve loot the room put it all in your gamma. You just made 100-300k. It's what I do to farm ammo and money for factory pvp and gear to get quests done with a bud. Also that machete will one shot to the head with a stab wait around corners for scavs running at you and sometimes you get them and now you have a kit to play the game with on top of your loot in the gamma.
i love it! i will need to try this even tho im not usually a reserve player
Interchange is not safe at all when Running shop run. Invest in east wing E205, E222 and universal utility key and you gonna swim in LEDX and high tier medical and weapon attachments in no time. atleast PR NOV 2022. E222 key is the best one imo, i would say i have 1/3 ledx spawn there, so 30%. Insane cash maker
What I wish you'd explain is where you get the items you recommended, for example I can't find a mp153 shotgun for sale, only a 133. mp153 is only available though barters which is far too complicated for me personally.
How are barters too complicated? You buy the items then you trade for shotgun, literally 1 more step than buying it instantly
@@supersebbe0414 I didn't have the flea market unlocked when I wrote this. I no longer play this game anyways it's whack.
@@chenlu666 ahhh okay then I understand that it may be too complicated ;D Yeah I started playing again this wipe and I have enjoyed it really much so I think you should give it another try
By far my favorite tarkov creator
thank you for that, it made my day seeing such a nice comment!
Also remember to take in some more expensive gear every once in a while so u can improve with those weapons and not stay ratting the entire wipe even with 30 mill in ur stash
This is an excellent point. The goal of making the money is to spend it! I like to build up my bank roll then have a few days of super geared raids to deplete it.
Yup. Different wipe but my buddy is over 10mil (spending money on hideout/PVP runs/Inventory containers so always in flux) but his "budget" loadout is what would be a full PVP loadout for many players between his gun, ammo, and armor. Why? He wants to win his fights, has the money to spend, and finds he survives more with that better gear on. He can die from time to time, but he often gets out and makes more then enough to fund the gear and another nights PVP.
even though this was eight months ago this really helped
thank you vampire man
always!
I know this is an old video but I just wanted to say u have a beautiful smile friend
That kit costs the same as the bag I run money runs with XD
I wish I had a bigger safe container. Dangit lol
Killa helmet! Cool
yeah i love it, a bit heavy to wear tho haha!
I really loved your video, however your voice was so low I barely heard it compared to the rest of the system, if you can boost your voice audio by about 6db it would be much better in my opinion. Thank you for the guide, well made :)
thank you for the kind comment and the great advice, always fiddling with my audio to try and find the right balance, but louder it is!
What can i do if i dont have a gamma case?
so if you dont have a case at all, you would need to rely on map knowledge a bit more. understanding, based on your spawn, what high tier places can i get to first and how can i be as efficient as possible when i am there to get out before other pmcs come for pvp. hope that helps!
Budget kits are good, but I think you and anyone else watching could splurge a little more on the gun. This give you more ability to win or take fights you wouldn’t otherwise take. Like having a scope, or full auto capability’s but overall a good video that gets the concept and point across
I use the big boy kits almost strictly, unless i decide to enjoy a pistol, almost neverr scav, and i just enjoy getting pvp really. I am standard account and have to earn even my beta case. Ggs, everyone else.
we have the same stats, same survival rate and same kd crazy
lighthouse + night time + dead server + cheap class 4 armor + headset + ump + fmj bullets = rich in tarkov
incredibly rich!
Does what goes in gamma come out with you if you die?
Yeah! You get to keep the items you out in your gamma, even if you die
@@Ramchise thank you for this…. 40 hrs game time and I could be sitting at a couple million Rubbles if not more if I had known! Thank you so much
@@ethanthomas1148 of course! Hope you are enjoying the game! Happy to answer any questions you might have
@@Ramchise oh I am, I better be after spending $120 bucks 🤣 I’m a very new player
I say this to ALL my meta chad friends in discord. They are ALWAYS broke but ALWAYS push fights. It's a playstyle choice. Sinse I started this game solo, I had to figure out loot spots and gain massive amounts of money to run kits good enough to do pmc killing tasks with
I can even afford a gun with my PMC and every scav run I do I get killed by a player scav.
additionally you spend less time into raids which means more roubels per hour on average
I swear I have never found anything in those interchange lockers
Flechette ammo is pretty expensive tho
Broo ive been hatchet running lighthouse for the past few weeks now and just putting it in my gamma, i get at least like 200k+ per raid and it only takes less than 5 mins its crazy
Lighthouse is easily the best loot map, chalet in particular has been UNREAL good, it’s awesome
@@Ramchise lighthouse is op loll
I am Level 53 and i probably only went like 10times to lighthouse
I should probably learn it
@@sirex9880 it is a really fun map with TONS of loot, happy to answer any questions if you start running it!
Factory pistol runs... intire invertory is an ak scrapyard.
best loot ive gotten outa chalet is a double weapons repair kit spawn. NOthing else, maybea few decent things but nothing memerable. I got a bitcoin and roler in the rogue camp and my buddy got a bit coin in the chair on the edge of the cliff at chalet the other day but ive yet to get the amazing luck you see in clips there. its just always meh tier loot spawns worth picking up
really? interesting that we have had different experiences, as chalet is my go-to high tier loot spot. After hitting garage, laundry room, dining room table, upstairs and the three gold tier loot spawns downstairs spawns its rare i leave there with anything less than incredible loot. RNG is a heck of a thing i guess.
same i always get incredible amounts of high tier loot on chalet
@@raven_29_ it is the best!
I farm rouges naked with a mosin and I’ve made 49 mil in 2 weeks
That is awesome! It is a great strategy
Ok but like… you just described scav runs.
The whole point of getting rubles in the first place is to buy good gear. Why would I spend 140k on a shit kit when I can just do a scav run for free?
Day one of using this and I went from 22k to 1.8m in just like 2 hrs this is nuts I usually spawn as a scav near chalet so I run from there hitting all the valuable spots and loot the raiders in the towers and on top of the buildings and In the first test raid I found a raid back pack in an airdrop filled it to the brim 1.6m in one raid
that is amazing!! Hope the wipe has been treating you well
Didn’t they change it to the whole found in raid shit since? Don’t think if you die you can still sell items in ur gamma. At least I cant
You can sell to traders
@@garfield5647 even after all this time? Good to know. I’ll start gamma-ing again!
like Garfield said, you can still sell to traders so it is worth gammaing high trader value items!
Something to consider: stash runs with a big backpack and a shotty, no armor. Just zero to hero, kill a couple scavs.
But more importantly, bring a bunch of keys and run your favorite map. Since you know it best, you'll be able to predict what areas to go into and which ones to avoid in case you have a bag full of tech, bronze lions etc.
If I go for loot on customs, for instance, I'll usually hit like 5-10 stashes and at least 5 safes. Every raid I survive, I get an average of 600K roubles out, even with my shitty 40% survival rate (little addicted to PvP hehe)
Flechette rounds r expensive
you dont have to be great you just have to pay over 100 bucks!
I dont agree whit you saying you dont need to get vetter you shuld defently strive to get better then just staying the same and not learning form your mistake
Base game players with alpha cases be like 🙃
So basically im fucked cus i won't be able to pay for my kit with items i stash in my ALPHA container
I think it got nerfed I can’t buy more than one potato rig at ragman lvl 1
jesus 136k per run is fucking insane
So my teacher was right
math matters lol
Your channel should be called: TheTarkovVampire. My opnion after playing 2000 hours as a player that never used a level 5 armor or gun that cost more than 100k, I can tell that I have made more money and killed more players in this game just with a molot, silencer and a 1x/x4 aim or red dot. You go inside the run with not more than 60k loot. Molot is the most silent gun ever, sometimes my friend is using it like 30m from me and I cant hear it and its deadly. ANyways ty for the video always good to get more information!! And very good editing.. !! I just ensure my headset and gun because that is just what I go inside the run with.. and I got tell you .. your MOLOT will ALWAYS but ALWAYS, 100% odf the time come back with ensurence.. not kidding.. 100% of the time!! I am level 32 this wipe with 48% survival rate and 85 player kills.. Woods in my opnion for sure is the best map for people that are starting. very big.. hard to be killed and you have plenty of floor loots that you can go even during night if you want. I can easly make 500k per run at night or even at day there just with a molot and a headset. Other maps there are plent of rats sniping or inside dark corners.. I would say 1-woods 2-interchange 3-shoreline, you surely have 38% survival because you go to dangerous places, that has high PMC traffic.. you go more to the center, I go more around it.
love the name "TheTarkovVampire"
Idc about money, all I care about is how much BP, 88A1, M61 and Mutans are in my stash
you and me both, thats why i love rogue farming
Nothing is death free
I look so much like you it’s shocking.
Just a heads up. If you play like this. That money means nothing. Because you are going to eventually want to run some high tier kits and pvp. And then you will get dumpstered because you have no clue how to use them. This is a good guide for beginners but remeber this is not what tarkov is about boys
I agree with you, this is not meant to be used every Raid. just a way for all players, regardless of skill level, to have enough money to run the kits they want!
YES THE W KEY MINDSET HONEY BADGERS FOR LIFE ONLY HONEY BADGERS GET THE RICHES RATS OR CHAD DOESN'T MATTER THEY ARE ALL POOOOOOOOOOR
HONEY BADGEEEEEERS
BIG honey badger energy
are you assuming that i have a gamma
People are making tarkov into a loot and hide game instead of pvp. Everyone running mosin, vpos, and SVT hiding in bushes to farm loot.
What this guy doesn't tell you about money raids: If you end a wipe with 50+ million roubles, you missed out on so many raids, 'cause you could have gone in with better, more expensive gear.
Honestly this is a great point and I’m kicking myself for not adding it. My goal with this video was to help people of all skill levels have enough roubles to run the gear they want, not to hoard money. So 100% you are right, roubles are gained to be spent on sick gear
@@Ramchise Hey your video is really good either way. I was just too lazy to add a compliment and felt edgy. Probably hadn't eaten breakfast yet. Keep it up.
Summary: Run cheap and stuff your ass with trader sold items
a perfect tl;dr summary
Very nice,. different, video.. But honestly my good sir, if you have 2600h played and only 30% survival rate. You are clearly doing something wrong...
I can assure you I do many things wrong lol
Why make bullshit kits to do rat money run raids. Scav makes u money if ur broke pmc is for quests and gameplay
Man i lost 500,000₽ in one day
Good job on the guide, but please show let of ur face.
wtf... 1k raids and only lvl 42.
I'm 43 with 500 raids. 63% survival and 7 K/D.
Who asked?
That's good man. But next time, try and keep comments like that to yourself. Sounds weird.
@@7evYT Don't tell me what to say weirdo.
@@sunz480 Just some friendly advice. You can disregard it if that's your choice.
well there you have it, you get a lot of combat xp. i dont know what youre so confused about, but hopefully that clears it up for you.
This kinda "tutorials" ruins new players, it's VERY IMPORTANT to get better in tarkov, it's not about to be rich, its about SURVIVAL, if our S/R its under 40% stop being care about your money, and change your mindset, u can start playing offline raids to actually learn how to rotate in your favorite map, its no need to be a chad, just play smart. MONEY MEANS NOTHING, ITS A HARDCORE SURVIVAL GAME. Try to raise your survival rate without play like a rat xd
I appreciate the comment although i would respectfully disagree. I think one of the BEST things about Tarkov is that it is about whatever you want it to be. If you want to be a shift W chad, that's great. If you want to be a quester, that's great. You want to be a looter, thats also great, but in order to do any of that you need to have a nice base of money. You can't gear up for raids with zero roubles and not everyone has the time to "get better". Tarkov is a hard game that takes a long time to get better at, but i still think that people that don't have enough time to do that should still be able to play the game and have enough money for raids. That is why i made this guide.
@@Ramchise Yeah, i agree with the concept of "Be wathever u wanna be" but Tarkov has a concept, and that's why the ppl its talking about the Shift W players are just playing COD, my msj it's almost exclusive for the real new players, tons of scav runs and try to survive and improve your game, for the casual players as u say, its important to think about your raid, u ended it, take a minute and think what u can do better next time. That's what i mean. Maybe the comment looks "hater" but no hate dude, keep doing content and making more and more bigger the community (sorry if my english its bs i'm from Argentina)
There are tons of different players out there. I know some people who know they are bad at pvp and don't even care to try and get better at the gunfighting aspect of the game. My buddy likes to play fast, getting to objectives for loot and then moving on to the next. It is fun at times. If you run into a fight, it's more of an evasion game. Puts you in positions where you do lose a lot, but I guess the point of this playstyle is to only engage someone if you believe you have the upper hand, else just f off to pick up more loot.
@@7evYT exactly, everyone has there own play style and the goal of this one is to maximize your money runs so you can have enough roubles to play however you want to!
bullshit, some players can't play enough to ever get good. this kinda of thing makes the game fun to play even if you're bad at pvp
Lmao yea running mid tier gear is obvious and unlocking flechettes takes a while, thanks for nothing
you are welcome! Enjoy the wipe.
This works only if you spend 140$ for EoD, since the alpha and beta container are smaller, you won't get that good of a return rate for each of your death which defeats the whole purpose of this strategy. But it seems you forgot to mention that in your guide... In the end, you're just abusing the fact that you paid to make the game easier. Good for you I guess...
Fun fact, I'm pretty sure you don't like cheaters. But it's not cheating if you paid for it, right ?
If you don't run the BEST gear you have every raid im sorry , but you're not just cheating the game economy , but you're cheating yourself from getting used to the tension and fighting in game. i understand money runs and full aggro runs but thats a cheesy way to dissect the game. min max , and not stopping to smell the flowers to control your gunfights creates irreparable damage to your game,
