- My first FPS guide did not do justice to the in-game graphics settings ( • The BEST Tips To INCRE... ), so I decided to go more in-depth this time and bring you a full guide on how to get best visibility without sacrificing too many frames. Keep in mind that Escape From Tarkov is perfectly optimized game so you results will vary heavily from system to system.!

For best performance you also have to better optimize your PC for Tarkov, fortunately for you, I have a guide for that already! 👊

"in case you forgot what grass looks like" lol I know u were talking about the snow but maybe that was for the tarkov player base in general

@@FliNNest I tried your post fx with montreal intensity between 30-60 and it made the game pretty clear with a clearer blue tint instead of washed out yellow that I see a lot of postfx settings have, thanks for the video!

BEST GUIDE EVER!! Thank you, Sir! Great video with the visual explanation!
This was hugely helpful! Thank you for taking the time to go through and demonstrate what each of these settings do and their impact on the game.
Thanks for watching! 👊😎
Half of the video was more than enough to make everything in tarkov so much more visible while rising my framerate.Thank you very much!

Amazing work! thanks bro
Thanks mate!
I had some of my settings tweaked already but this video still helped me pump up my fps from like between 65-85 range to 90-110! I have a (1-1,5yrs ago built) pretty good custom made laptop, was considered high end at the time I bought it, I had like 100fps back then but with patch after patch went down before you saved me with this video you made!!!

will try these settings on my laptop. g16 asus roz zephyrus.
This is usable if you are not CPU limited.. which is the biggest problem. the biggest problem is bullet trajectories, armor penetration, the number of scavs and pmc on the map, which brings the cpu into a bottleneck. then any graphics settings will not help you with minimal fps.
increasing the graphics settings will reduce the maximum fps, but then the fps range will not be so large and the game will have a more stable frame rate
if you have a cpu bottleneck you won't do anything at all until you get a better cpu.. i have a weak cpu and gpu amd rx7800 16gb. on woods I have 55fps when aiming with optics.
you should test an offline raid with the settings turned on so that the scavs are at war with each other. then it will be relevant for online raid
Correct. I did two quick comparitative offline runs on Customs with the same gfx settings.
1. No AI: 115-136fps, with a solid 120avg.
2. AI as in Online + bosses. 45-78fps.
Online raids are better, but they don't crack into the 100s for me.

Nice video
Automatic RAM Cleaner - its fixed rn and it has misleading name - It does clear VRAM (may help if u have less than 10gb VRAM GPU)
Only use physical cores - Its fixed rn, if u have some moder multicore CPU, especially Intel with PowerCores and E-Core may help. With my i9-13900k its +10fps and less stutters
i have the Monitor Q27 Pro lol nice Video mate :9

great video man. I am trying the fsr 2.2 i currently have ryzen 9 5900x and gtx 1070. any recommendation?
Seems good, what fps are you getting?
So i was actually getting up to 90-110 which is suprising. I only played in customs though. My graphics seem washed out but i could still see. I did follow your other video on the description. @FliNNest
i play with lod at lowest and its broken, you can see through cover sometimes and usually players are always visible but i have had a few instances where i saw someone disappear without moving
Mate I just put on these exact settings and I can see everything and my fps is insane
Love to hear it! 👊
Damn post effects settings ate like 25 fps, thanks for the video super helpful. Any thoughts on FPS with an ultra wide monitor 21:9 3440x1440 ?
Not sure what you are asking exactly, but higher resolution will definetly lower your fps!
very good video
Thanks! 👊
Hey man you mention digital vibrance in the video but you do not have it shown anywhere. What digital vibrance/gamma settings etc do you use in the nvidia control panel?
ffs, I totally forgot... Thanks for reminding me!
I use 70% Digital Vibrance and +1.2 Gamma, Brigtness and Contrast are +50%! 👊
I have a 1080 and an i7 4790k. Just followed your older guide to a tee. should i try FSR to see if i get more frames or is it not worth it?
You dont have anything to lose, definetly helped me out a lot with my 1070!
get 5800x3d and a suitable mobo. Then watch the magic. 5800x3d Cheapest best upgrade for old rigs. FSR looks terrible imho. You get frames in the cost of pixels.
@@therealsoulbringer i tried FSR it ran the same but looked like shit. Like i had no AA.

We love ya bud
Aint nobody gonna stop us bro! ❤
Anisotropic Filtering makes a huge difference in the texture quality of your gun. It will be much more detailed if you have it set to on. If that's important to you.
I just upgraded to a 4070ti Super and have tried all different settings and the most Tarkov uses my GPU is 25-40%. Sometimes during the first 20 seconds of the raid it uses up to 60% of my gpu but then always goes back down. at 25-40% I'm getting 80-110fps, when it uses 60% I'm over 200fps. My CPU is a i7 13700k with not bottlenecks, and my power settings are on performance. Any thoughts?
I have only heard that supersampling works great for 40 series cards!
@@FliNNest thanks, I have that enabled. It's weird I can't get it to use more. Other games I have tried are using above 90% but I cant get Tarkov to. None of my cpu cores are maxing out and I have 32gb ram @5600
It's because Tarkov isn't optimized. It doesn't know how to fully use powerful cards.
Hi Flinn! Do you have a separate streaming PC?
Nope, single PC streaming and recording.
@@FliNNest damn! And you can still stream and record on Streets? That's nice!
bro, how do to put that PostFX momentum, how u can look at the time what happend when u change something :o
When you are in raid, there is a "Vizualise" button under the post-fx tab!
@@FliNNest oh man, ty so much
i have a 4090 and an i9-13900k. w a 4k monitor, with that being said, i play at 1440, is this a bad idea? should i switch to 4k
I imagine the image quality will be much better but I have no idea how big of a hit you will take on your framerate, but only one way to find out!
Nvidia reflex introduces latency, for some reason you get better frametimes if you turn on vsync in tarkov, off in nvidia.
to the contrary, reflex reduces it
@@Adrian.A.V. turn on some kind of perfomance counter like rivatuner and you will see that vsync gives you less latency than nvidia reflex, at least in tarkov
honestly nvidia dlss quality looks like a TAA or FXAA "high" so i will probaly use dlss rather TAA cause it still smooth the edges
Eso what frames should I be seeing NG roughly with a 4050
No clue mate, tarkov relies on your CPU for performance.
Just a note about anisotropic filtering, the way you describe what it does in the video isn't entirely correct. Your mention about it being angled surfaces is sort of correct though. It doesn't increase the quality of textures, rather it preserves them at an angle over a distance. The best way to see it doing what it supposed to is by standing on a flat surface like a road. Look down the road, with it off you'll notice the road starts to blur at a certain distance. With it on, it'll sharpen that out, it's very noticeable when you know what you're looking for. Strongly recommend keeping it on if you want your game to look sharper and less muddy.
Appreciate the explanation!
It was made clear to me pretty fast that I didn't entirely understand what it did, guess I might try it on again.
Hi man, just a question. Why when I put fullscreen mode my game always minimise? How can I fix that? Looks like a bug. It keeps minimising and I cannot do anything about it
Not sure mate, could be a different program in the background popping up?
@FliNNest unfortunately no. I really don't know what it is, when I'm trying to put fullscreen the game is glitching and keeps popping up on the screen and then minimising (it keeps going like this until it crashes). It's unfortunate because u could get some few more fps by using it
High texture requires 16gb vram or higher. Medium requires 10-12gb vram.
No, it does not.
@@FliNNest yes it does. Literally tested with my 7950x3d, 32gb 6400mhz, 4080
I was the one that reported streets consumes more vram to bsg and i know because i always monitor rivatuner when i play tarkov in many different settings.
@@baeilence Yes, if you have more available, it uses it, but you dont need it...
Also using streets for any benchmark is pointless as it is extremely unoptimized.
@@FliNNest i play on reserve and normal raids it takes 12gb ram on qhd texture medium. Even with my 4070ti and 4070 super.
Which means anything lower than 12gb vram, will be short on vram because of course it has less vram and cannot afford to use more since the cards are vram limited.
@@baeilence Like I said, if you have more vram, the game uses it, but it does not "require" 12 or 14 or whatever you said, I play just fine with 8gb of vram, streets avg 90-100fps.
Is there anyway of having nvidia reflex on without capping fps at 60 on stash?
Don't think so, why do you need uncapped frames in stash though?
@@FliNNest It makes the stash managment smoother, is so laggy for me with nvidia reflex on so i keep turning it on or off if im in raid
Keep in mind that there's a 60fps cap for the menu in the game, I don't know if you can uncap it but for me is impossible, It doesn't bother me tho.
@@aegis5861 If you have 144Hz monitor you can activate vsync and uncap the fps on lobby, that is what i do
Is there any recommendations for a2060 and a ryzen 5 3600x?
Not really, that cpu requires an upgrade unfortunately!
5800X3D is the answer
i have 3060ti ryzen7 5800x and dont have 60 fps... now try this guide..
i wonder when people are going to realize that if you try it at offline mode it means you found best settings for the OFFLINE MODE as it should be. Alrigth? but still thank you for the help that you tried to give
Probably when they watch the first 20 seconds of the video.
@@FliNNest i know, its not you im mad its the tarkov as you can guess brother
I have a 3050 Ti I run around 50 fps on most maps, I am supposed to have 8gb of Vram but my system says I only have 512mb is this normal? my memory is also always 98% usage, going to get more RAM for that.
Tarkov is a CPU heavy game, and streets generally wants more than 8gb if it can get it, 32gb of ram highly recommended for Tarkov!
Turning on CPU Turbo Boost helped me maintain a steady 80fps on a rtx 3070 laptop, but I'll be damned to game on a 90°C CPU temp LOL
Free source of heat! 🤷♂️
@@FliNNest wait untill you hear I live in a place where air conditioners are bench marked 😭😭 if they can stand the heat of summer, you've got a damn good AC unit, it becomes a pleasantly warm 41°C... At midnight...
i own 4090 and i tried resampling on 2 and 4 and my gpu usage went frome 30 to 70 - 80 cpu lowered and fps went like 50 frames up
Good stuff!
Courious so my game stutters from time to time which isnt that bad, the annoying part though is when i ads which seems to freeze the game for a second or two
Make sure your game is on an SSD, that eliminated most of my stutters back in the day, also adding virtual memory might help you out a bit!

guys my native monitor resolution its 1920x1080 (16:9), i was playin in 1600x900, because i thought was gonna increase fps, its just not worth it to do that?
It should be the last thing you change if you really need the frames, for visibility native resolution is best!

Kinda sick of games where you need to be semi prof. Graphics designer just to get the shit in a decent playable state. Same was with CS, now Tarkov ... Rinse and repeat... Thx for the vid that saves us quite a lot of annoyance!
You don't, just hit up CZcams.
I got a 7800X3D, 32 gigs of DDR5 6000 MHZ ram, solid new cooler for CPU, slight OC on CPU/RAM (3070, same GPU did not feel need to upgrade) and I was getting around 90-120 FPS on all maps besides streets (40-60 MAX and very unstable) and light house (VERY unstable, would go from 130-45 FPS). With new parts, I get 140-170 FPS on all maps but streets. On Streets I get 100-120 and its very consistent, few dips to 80 here and there. I'm pretty happy with it.
We are getting the total performance/graphical overhaul this year. Hope thats a huge improvement esp for those with lower end PCs (I had a SHITTER for most of my 7K hours in tarkov)
I wanna get the same Cpu and 32 gigs too I got now Rtx 3060 12gb i5 10th generation 16 gigs ram I got on streets 40-50fps on other maps 80-90
Nigga I'm getting your FPS rates with 5800x3d, 1070, 16x2 gigs ddr4 3200 mhz. You should be getting 200++ normally. Stop playing 1440p on tarkov if you are. Game textures are not designed for 2k, they still look the same but cut your FPS whoever out there playing with 2k res.

Wow so all this time I’ve been seeing the “jaggies” on edges of textures and movement on textures in the distance. I guess DLSS is the only solution to that and I have AMD :/
Definitely seems unfair that AMD features are offered to NVIDIA cards, but NVIDIA features are exclusive to their cards.
100% an advantage to getting RTX cards with DLSS
It would be very refreshing for just one of these FPS guides to be honest from the outset. Tarkov is very very un optimised and is NOT gpu heavy instead it is CPU heavy and you need either an 8 core or more cpu with very fast single core performance or an x3d AMD cpu. You could strap a 1080ti to a 7800x3d and you'd see it would get WAY better fps than you expect as long as it has a powerful cpu to do the work.
Can you timestamp where I was dishonest and said the game was gpu heavy?
I likw how when there is a 4% difference in fps he calls it "pretty considerable" 😂

The best boost fps is new cpu and gpu
Bro sounds like Carlos Sainz
Us Tarkov players have the lowest standards when it comes to game performance and bug issues mate. BSG keeps adding unnecessary stuff and more bugs each wipe while people with 5000$ PCs get less than 100fps on streets, wille toasters run minecraft on 244Hz.
BUT you found a LEDX today... but couldn't pick it up because it's bugged... Now your drywall holes have a new neighbor. Man i miss the days when games were released when they were actually ready
It probably would be a waste of time for them to focus on the optimization too much, especially since they keep adding more things into the game and updating the engine every few years, they would just have to optimize it over and over again, it is annoying af though I agree, hopefully the game releases before 2030 and they can focus on optimizations soon...
