It looks like some waters will bring your insurance back and some won’t. I will run some tests and come back with the results in a few days.
edit: I ran the tests, only item I had go missing was in really deep water, but another one came back from deep water. But it looks like shallow is completely safe. Not sure if the deep water insurance is just a bug. Maybe the items fall out of the map or something. (Deep water is where you cannot see where the gear ends up)

I've never had an issue with the lake on woods, the ocean on shoreline, or the pit on reserve.
I've had a convo w/ BSG support about that. To quote them : "There is sometimes an issue with insurance while gear is ditched in water". This is probably purposedly vague. Or maybe they actually have yet to pinpoint the exact source of the issue.
Been following the FAST squad for a very long time now (way before you and tomo did that full time!), nice to see a tarkov video. Keep up the good work!
Every time I’ve tried insuring in water it’s a 100% return rate. Maybe it has to do with how far in you throw them? I usually toss them just far enough in that you can’t grab them but can still see the items. Perhaps dropping items into deep water just despawns theme
One possible alternate to the clear malfunction keybind, is to swap inspect to release and have clear on press. It means you don't have to hold the button, rather you can press the same button a second time to clear, as it won't let you attempt to clear when the weapon is jammed without inspecting!
Common sense
It's such bullshit that you must inspect before clearing. In a firefight the first thing you do when the weapon "clicks" is rack the charging handle. If it still won't fire you take a look to see what's going on..
I’ve got the key in’s set to the same key, but it only inspects for some reason, it never clears it

@@Polar_Magnetit actual does make sense, once you hear click, you observe the chamber to see what type of malfunction you have. If you have a double feed and just rack the charging handle back all you’ve done is create another double feed. Even when doing immediate actions you observe then tap, rack, bang
Another stash shortcut: when the sorting table is open, you can use Shift+Left click to automatically move that item into the sorting table without needing to drag and drop. Makes for more efficient stash organization
i tried this yesterday, it just kept putting stuff onto my pmc so i guess it only works if your pmc doesn't have inventory free or isnt wearing a tac vest or bag
@@MrLargeForce did you have the sorting table open? Usually Alt + Left Click equips stuff to PMC and Ctrl + Left Click moves stuff from PMC to stash or stash to PMC for me. I haven't seen Shift + Click move stuff to my character before though 🤔

Great content bro, hope we'll see more EFT. I personally would love to see a "lets play tarkov" from scratch to kappa. Where you discuss why you do certain things, the reason you play a certain way etc. not leaving out deaths etc either, I want that raw, uncut footage.

For max return sell to traders in this order: Therapist, Ragman, Jaeger, Mechanic, Prapor, Skier, Peacekeeper, Fence. Note: Jaeger will buy some weapon parts, so disassemble your guns before selling. Skier will also buy parts which can help if you need sales for levelling.
Water doesn't eat it if you throw it into a shallow area. The trick is to have it still within the map but deep enough under water that a player can't interact with it. Which is most water.
EXACTLYYYYYYYY
For weapon jams, switch the press and release bindings for shift+L. Set it to clear the weapon on press, and inspect the weapon on release. Now, all you have to do is keep pressing the keys over and over instead of having to try and get the timing right

Sj6 and Trimadol is a better combo. I hit the SJ6, then sprint all the way down my stam and hit the Trimadol and it literally starts recovering your stamina WHILE YOU'RE SPRINTING. You can sprint for a really long time. I used it for Resort runs on Shoreline when looking for LedX. Loved the video Fugg! I learned a coup[le things even with 6k hours in the game lmao
trimadol drains food and water real bad, so just be prepared for that

For the "Don't wear glasses when foggy", you could've shown the clip for "Shoot them in the legs" tip as the guy had his glasses lit up

Most magazine fed guns can also load in single bullets when you're out of magazines. I've tested it on almost every AK, if you have loose bullets in your vest or pockets but no mags, your PC will grab a bullet and load it directly into the chamber if you have no magazines.
However, THE MOST IMPORTANT tip is keybinding dropping your backpack (i have it set to double tap z). if in a fight, you dont want to be super weighed down, especially if you're fat and cant regain stamina while walking. The bag makes some noise when you drop it and takes a quick animation to do so, so make sure you do it when you're not unfound but still have a second to spare.

i noticed you said you don’t like to wear the fast tac faceshield because of the breathing, well here’s a lil tip: if you click on the “turn on” option on the faceshield(while it’s on a helmet ofc) before going into a raid you won’t hear ur pmc breathing (yet to be tested) but if you turn the faceshield off and on while in raid you’ll go back to hearing it.

From my perspective, I'd say - if there is no good loot, take melee weapons. Basic scav knives can be bartered for a decent pistol or smg, axe is worth like 30k and you can put it in your melee slot so it stays even if you die (that's also why I always run without melee weapon).

I knew almost everything in this video, except the back button being the cause of the bugged lobby. Great tips all around, I'll be sending this to any noobs looking for a great quick guide.
most of the glasses do not actually have the bug that you mentioned. Airwingmarine tested it for each glasses and posted a video on it last wipe. The glasses that do not have the issue include the batwolf, condor, afglass, 6b34, johnb, rivals, gaswelder, proximity, tglasses, and the m frame. The other 6 glasses are the ones that stand out.
Healing tip: remap shortcuts 4,5,6 to press and release. Then place your meds in order. Stop bleeds and fracture before healing. No need to check what injuries you have after each encounter
great tip for the looting keybinds is to have ctrl+rmb to discard loot, now you’ll left click to grab loot, and right click to discard it without having to let go of ctrl or reaching for another button.
for the fix malfunction keybind can you set it to continuous so it will instantly fix after the inspect?
Regarding the water:
It depends which kind of water and if you are able to reach it. As an example:
If you drop items from the bridge on customs in the river, you won´t get them back.
If you drop items in the swamp on shoreline, you will get them back.
After 2000+ hours in tarkov i still watch your tips videos lol

Question about sound/movement. When your walking and you slow down your speed the sound indicator is showing that your making less noise. This tracks with what you can hear, my question is does it also get quieter for other players? I recall some kind of bug around it but i dont know if it was fixed.

I keep two propitals, a mule, trimadol, sj6 and a meladonin in my Stims case.
Also, sj6 and trimadol is better for running non stop. Just make sure to bring food or water if you do!
sj6 and trimadol will give you infinit stamina for like 4 minutes no joke :) bar goes not down it goes up ^^
I should've known someone else would comment this. You know the way! The best trick is hit the SJ6, sprint all the way down and hit the Trimadol then continue sprinting forever lol. The timers line up pr3tty good because Trimadol is shorter! Cheers!
Switch Zagustin against Perforotan. It heals you up, too
it tanks your food and water tho

you only need the weapon durability to be 57 to be able to sell to mechanic. possibly lower but i've had 56 durability guns still unsellable to him. Armor is a little over half for ragman. Use this to save money and earn more from scav runs
@11:29 apparently Jaeger will give you more for your scopes than Mechanic. He also buys melee weapons for a premium :)

You could use trimidol and sj6 and it’s even better to really never stop running
I mean, prolly said already, but I run SJ6 and Trimadol, it gives me unlimited stamina, works a bit better than the 3BTG. I also use the etgc/zagustin for healing, bleeds. Propital for a light heal, mule for carrying stuff.
Honestly I run all my stims, no empty slots. Early wipe, I have two mules, two sj6’s, 2 trims, zag/etgc/prop.
Late wipe I run
2 zags, 2 etgc, 2 prop, 1 mule, 1 sj6, 1 trim.

My scav rep is 2.7 and I got 2 lab keys in a row, after that I got no backpack, cheapest rigs and PM pistols ~3-4 times give or take. Its almost as if it has some sort of a system behind it.
Handy stuff, esp the bit on rebinding the check and clear to the same key, very helpful, the stims coverage was also quite helpful! The game does an absolutely horrible job at explaining... Pretty much anything? Thanks for taking the time to make this!
Well I drop mine in water all the time on so many maps but I drop them from the edge of the water and as long as it’s not the deep part it will return and in factory last time I did it chucking them down the undurside of the big gas/petroleum tanks at the end of glass hallway will return them as well
For the ultimate stamina u need trimadol plus sj6 but u need to bring some snack and drink with u coz trim kill the hunger and thirst stat
14:00 not every pair of glasses does this anymore, but a good chunk of them do. Airwingmarine has a good video on it. Still a good rule of thumb to just not wear glasses tho
I recently got back a body armor that i put in the water. I turned the armor in on a mission, so I know for sure, that i got it back. Maybe, sometimes it eats, maybe?
We use water for insurance all of the time, though haven't been playing as much last couple weeks. Did they change something?
Med keybinds: have press 4 on hemostat and release 4 on your afak (will fix heavy bleed if you have one and heal if you don't)
this might also be a downside as instead of healing for example your head , it will do a heavy bleed fix and during the animation you might get a blacked head

10:23 it's not the best NV laser combo but it has the both NV and normal laser combos. In reality, other NV only laser combos are better especially their flashlight is superior to DBal's NV Flashlight which is really dim.

This thing of having the Survivl kit in the "secure pouch" is a bit funny.. not everyone has EOD so not many have 3 squares in a row available.

I only have about 50 hours in this game and the only thing I’ve been struggling with is map knowledge and extraction locations. I know some maps some what okay but I struggle knowing which direction to go to find extracts or other points of interests for loot. I have map genie but I don’t know how to figure out directions of where to move to find places on the map.
if you want to sell broken weapons to Mechanic, it just need to be above 64 durability, you can often save 10k or more on every gun and it adds up over time
Does the water trick void your teammates insurance as well?? If not that’s pretty useful for insurance fraud

When did they Nerf the dropping items in water insurance thing? I always threw my buddies gear in the water and they’ve always got it back.
I find that Shift + Left Click makes dropping items in your backpack so much more convenient and makes more sense since the other backpack management keybinds are alt+left click and ctrl+left click.
Well, I used this for some time, until I realised it is the same shortcut when you have the sort table open and move quick from stash to the table, so you can not use it for the later.
I now use the Caps + Left Click to drop an item, and so I can use the Shift + Left click to move from Stash to the Sort table.
To level gun management faster you can buy cheap weapon from Fence and repair them and sell them to mechanic.

Shallow waters work on multiple maps. Just gotta make sure it's just far enough to not pick up, but still shallow enough to see it

Scopes generally sell more to Jager than mechanic, by a significant amount, I might add

Yeah I've been tossing gear into the water for years and have always gotten it back. I literally just did it last week. Maybe its the deep water he's throwing into instead of the shallow water that is just out of reach but the gear is still able to be seen.
Tested on Lighthouse, maybe it's different on other maps. I'll run some testing.
I think that key factor isn't the map but its depth of water. If you toss it in deep water items wont come back, but if it is shallow it will come back.

Surely insurance would work in the water if you can still see the item under the water. Usually it is technically recoverable but you cannot get close enough to actually grab it. That spot you were throwing stuff in looked like an abyss.
I'm 2000h in and I never heard about it tbh :o does is simply delete the items, so even the insurance will not bringe it back? Thats insane..
Tip one not on the good start. I have repeatedly thrown things into water and got them back from insurance, now fair to say I don't keep the track of every thing I throw and there is possibility that from 6 troopers that I got back from insurance one that was in the water never cameback, but I am fairly certain 9/10 times I used water the items did comeback. I don't know if there are maybe particular spots that kills the gear, maybe the gear falls out of map but I done it on shoreline by the peer and the customs and they do come back. If there are spots which just destroys gear then I would like to know about them as I hate taking out mosins out of raid but I do it on principle because I hate moshit noobs.
As well not all glasses shine in fog, there is literally a list of those that do and those that don't. The main glasses I run (condors) don't shine in the fog, so find the list and know your glasses.

Not all Glasses light up in foggy weather. Airwingmarine uploaded a Video about that, where he tested all of them and showed which are safe to use and which not :)
1:30 i'll do you one better , right clicking on the weapon and pressing reload so that you reload a full / most full mag in your rig
I leave it on L to inspect then double press L to fix so I can move while doing it

-The mandaolrian face shield is the only face shield you can used with night vision
i got my night vision and weapon lights on the same key then to cycle the lights its double tap. but when i turn my night vision on my light shuts off and when i turn my night vison off my light blinds the next guy. incase somone ever tries to blind me
you also have a clip of the glowing glasses when you are shooting they guy in the head and you called yourself a potato

instad of MULE take obdolbos 2 its same with the dmg u take but u can sprint longer and it holds 20minutes
