After Vettel set the race's fastest lap, 1:16.577, on lap 77 of the 2013 Monaco GP, Red Bull reprimanded their driver over the radio for taking unnecessary risks, saying that there were no points to be gained for setting the fastest lap. Vettel replied "but satisfaction".

I remember Ciaron Smith constantly stating Prime Raikkonen is many times better than everyone else, especially Vettel. The fact is that Vettel is exactly like prime Raikkonen, except Vettel could get a fastest lap by miles and dominate a race in a much longer period of time, even without the fastest car.

@@cob-codeofbrawl7668 Uh the Ferrari was not half a second slower than the red bull. Dont try to inflate the challenges he faced. Redbull had horrible reliability and multiple dnfs. Also the Ferrari was the fastest on the straights while the red bull were sitting ducks. Alonso is impressive but he's not the greatest. Unlike Hamilton and Schumacher. Alonso is better than Vettel, but his arrogance and ego easily puts him down below Sebastien.

Sebastian Vettel had in his contract of 650k euro for every fastest lap and twice for Monaco so probably trying to save money

A. Told him to hold up position,
Or
B. Told him to set a fastest lap.
Even with today's points that awards fastest lap, there's must be something in your head if you chose the latter.
And just 6 years later, they now actually get points for posting the fastest lap 😂 And still, Redbull don't like it (Max in Spain)

Because there were no points for fastest lap back then and he had the lead and the team was worried that if he pushes too much then he might crash into the wall and then lose all the points.
No cause they had to pay him for those points 😂
@@WaseemSakkaWhat they meant was Vettel back then had a clause in his contract for extra payment for each fastest lap. Kinda like Kimi had a clause for each point scored when he was in Lotus.
