Two different engines with different goals and product design philosophy. Hard to compare. Both are excellent. Pick the one that suits your project and team.
He is such a professional game developer, his opinion is so important, and kids watch his videos and dont understand that those are shallow click baits at best.
Unreal is incomparable to Unity. You can't compare a Mercedes Benz to a Toyota. There is nothing in Unity that comes close to Nanite and Lumen to start with. If you want to produce an AAA-quality game go with Unreal. The last time we used Unity we got stuck cause Google firebase integration was broken, We wrote all the code from the ground up. WebGL worked but we couldn't save the game on the device. This was in 2020/2021. Virtually everything you needed for a serious project we had to buy. Unreal on the other hand has many things which come built-in. Rendering is much better than Unity. The Old and the new Input system in Unreal is excellent. After the management change, something went wrong with Unity. Unreal is for everyone because that engine was built on love and dedication. Networking in Unreal is easy if you know what you are doing. There are so many free assets that you can get away with using many of them in multiple games and the Epic Store have tons of free stuff which are very good.. Unreal is a sure winner. But if you are a beginner, go with Unity and C#. Easier to learn and when you are ready for the big league, you know where to look. ;-)
Very well said!!
I find Unity difficult.
Unity is very comparable with Unreal, Maybe you suck at C# Programming and Unity API now you blame the Engine. What have you done with Unity Engine in the first place?
There are hundreds and thousands of AAA games made with Unity such as;
Escape from Tarkov
Fall Guys
Subnautica
Cities: Skylines
Kerbal Space Program
Cuphead
GTFO
UE5 doesn't have native HTML5 integration nor does it support WebGL or WebGPU. Both can actually be used to create switch games too but unity is highly preferred
