    It is actually 11hrs drive, 14hrs on duty. 70/week. On duty does NOT include drive time. Once the 11hrs has been reached, the driver MUST NOT drive, however, the driver can do other things like post trip, trip planning, adjusting load, checking load, paperwork, etc. The driver is not allowed to drive for 14hrs.

  • @jlmadd
    @jlmadd Před 2 lety +5

    They can only drive 11 hours, no matter what. 14 hours to work 11 hours driving. You need to correct that. There’s a 16 hour rule for shelter under DOT but still If you use that rule you still only have 11hours drive time or you have to go pick up that driver. Please give the right information. They CANNOT drive 14 hours ever. I discredited you after you said that. Also they have to break after 8. Again Work 14, drive 11, shutdown 10.

    • @sherrymayberry6285
      @sherrymayberry6285 Před 2 lety +4

      Discredited is a strong word for all the VALUABLE information they’re sharing . If a simple correction is needed then say that. It’s already hard out here for women trying to grow a business and survive in a man dominated world. There must be no room to “Discredit” anyone especially if they aren’t a FRAUD or making falsehood. We must support each other as women out here trying to provide for our families. It’s enough out here for all of us if we support each other. Have a nice day and I pray you receive this in the respectful tone it was sent.

      Drivers can only drive for 11hours. I don’t recall stating otherwise, if I did it was an error. They have a 14 clock, 10 mandatory shut down and can only drive 11 hours of the 14hour clock. Thanks for viewing

    Do you have to actually start a business if you want to dispatch if your only just helping out a freind truck driver? its possible i may actually start my own buisness but only if i can get the hang of it

    Do you charge an additional fee for completing carrier packets? 50 packets at one time sounds extreme to be doing it for free. Especially if you have to print docs prior to sending it back. Sounds like hours of work.

    • @nickelswithnickelson6892
      @nickelswithnickelson6892 Před 2 lety

      Hello, and no I don't I just do them in between calls and admin work, the one good thing about the packet is that you only have to complete one for each broker and you never have to complete them again. Thanks for viewing

    Question, so brokers have carrier packets also?

    • @diamondsintherufflogistics2253
      @diamondsintherufflogistics2253  Před 2 lety

      Yes brokers will provide each carrier with a packet to complete and may request additional documents: w9, copy of authoring and COI
