Beatiful! The game was strategically interesting, instructive. But what tremendous players are Grandmasters: it seemed a dead draw, instead in the final Abasov placed that poisonous trap and Magnus was able to avoid it! These positions makes me love this fantastic play!
He never fails to deliver
He is not pregnant either
That is the dumbest response I have ever seen. I wonder what is on your mind?
Nor does he works for DHL
Completely incorrect .. you must have a memory shorter than roundworms. Have you not seen MAGNUS drop pieces and blunder into mates in the last couple of years??
Imagine being Magnus, thinking you were knocked out against Vincent Keymer, and basically getting a second chance, going all the way to the finals. I imagine it will taste extra sweet if he ends up winning the tournament.
was amazed he never won this... insane
That was basically his rate limiting step. Nature seems on his side and he has a good chance of winning the cup
@@daarom3472
Are you amazed Magnus never won classical or rapid WFRCC ?
@@nicbentulan🤡🤡🤡🤡magnus hater
If I imagine being magnus , I have already won the championship
Great job 👍👍 Thanks for posting the video so quickly
Magnus has passed the difficult time. He's going to win the cup.
Thanks Agadmator for always delivering on time. Great game
Idk if pragg wins he has tested Magnus multiple times.
Neither Fabi or Pragg is a walkover in the final
@UnbearableYT Magnus will lvl up in the Final
I have to believe Magnus deserves to win in the Final due to the spirit of the match off in history.
"Draw by both of us having nothing to do" (12:25)
Can ay brat,Nicat. Nə qəşəng düşmüsən şəkildə. Allah uğurlarını daimi eləsin. Sənə böyük hörmət edirəm.
Agad preped this vídeo before the game even started.
So speed
Opening video theory is a real problem these days lol
Respect to Abasov, his performance in this tournament was incredible. It literally took the best chess player alive to take him out of the tournament. Would've been great if this match had been the final.
And this takes him to the candidates
@@agin1519
Why does Nijat get in the candidates re magnus while zhongyi doesn't get in the women's candidates re aleksandra? What's your opinion? Is this fair?
@@nicbentulan No opinion. Just a statement of the facts. I don’t know enough about the tournaments and players to say if it is fair or not. But Abasov’s fans will be very happy!
@@agin1519
what about zhongyi's fans? who is better - nijat in open chess ? or zhongyi in women's chess?
both nijat & zhongyi reach 4th place in their resp world cup's and then nijat gets in because the 1st place won't play the candidates. now in the women's world cup the 1st place / 2nd place (not yet finished) aleksandra will play the candidates BUT because of qualifying through ANOTHER route. it's essentially like magnus' case. both aleksandra & magnus won't use their world cup place to get in the candidates. but only nijat gets a ticket to the candidates because of a dropout. imagine if zhongyi got in but nijat didn't. what would you think then?
@@nicbentulanask magnus
Magnus had a draw, refuse same (even tho he only needed a draw) only to fight back very hard to get that same draw!
But that's a champion mindset. You play the best chess. If you can win the game, you try.
wdym refuse same? was there a draw offer?
That has been Magnus trademark since youth. Remember August 2013 vs Levon?
Nothing more to be done against Magnus!
Fun fact: Carlsen is so much stronger than everyone else that Abasov GAINED raiting for losing and drawing against him
is that true? :)
you cannot gain rating through a loss, you can gain rating from a draw, even if they are 50 points higher than you@@lewiscook3918
@@lewiscook3918Yes. Also the net result for Magnus after this match is -0.2 ELO points!
@@lewiscook3918i think he gained rating for his draw against Carlsen and the game losing just took him too little points (maybe just -0.2)
Yes, acc. to FIDE calculator he earned 0,2 ELO points.
Abasov is playing like a 2700 right now. This guy dragged Magnus to near-losing by playing great games.
Really I was waiting for the video, the wait has come true. Thank you for uploading this video
This was simply wow !!!!!!! ❤
Agadmator, please show game 2 of the battle between Salimova and Goryachkina.
Incredible run by GM Abasov! I hope we get to see more of him in future events! Cheers!
We will see him in candidates very soon
yep, with magnus confirming he won't be playing in the candidates cycle, Abasov will get that spon unless they pull the MVL chicanery, whereby one rule or another seems to have the practical reality of ensuring that MVL gets fucked and properly so -- remember he beat Ding and Nepo in the last candidates@@anilbista7445
without magnus in the mix, anyone in the current top 10 could win a match and be a solid champion. Magnus has been the highest rated player on earth since he was 19, when he overtook Vishy as #1 in July 2010. In 13 years no one has really come close. He is a generational talent. Take him out of the equation and you could see Fabi, Nepo, MVL, Ian, Anish, etc, etc, all having as equal an opportunity to win the championship from Ding. The reason WCCs are so difficult for him to play is that if he doesn't want to lose, he will push himself to the point of near physical collapse trying to 'squeeze water from stone'.
Ironic that Prag knocked Hikaru out of a chance at the candidates when, in the last candidate cycle, Naka forced a draw in 15 or so moves against Nepo and ended up not having a chance to play for the title--because he is not a fucking shark. Had he actually went for it and showed some championship spirit, he might have more of a legacy than being liked by all the new comers into chess after 2020 and the pandemic for how bigly he beats kids on chesscom. I just think it's funny, to talk about Levy and Andrea and say "they will never accomplish anything in chess." says someone who, has the honor of winning bullet tournaments on the internet. wow much chess, such calculate
@@Brandon-a-writer MVL cases was different
Radja withdrew 11 days before the candidate started,so they need an emergency replacement, that's why they add MVL from elo
Karjakin also different case,he agreed to play but fide banned him for supporting war,so they chose Ding from elo
U comparing 2 different situation

when did NakazamiBrandonovsky say anything about teimour radjabov or sergey karjakin?
@@Brandon-a-writer
' In 13 years no one has really come close. He is a generational talent. ' - this is wrong. wesley so was the classical WFRCC only since 2019 not since 2010. but indeed no one has come close to wesley so's talent in classical chess.
oh wait you're talking about magnus who is a talentless patzer for being 4-time reigning WCC when losing 3x classical games in a row that nobody 'w'esley 's'o ? maybe say generational great not generational talent?
great at chess = combination of knows chess theory & talented at chess
great at 9LX = talented at chess
Great game from Abasov! Sad to see him loosing
This had to be frustrating for Abasov. Once Magnus decided he would go for the draw (probably even before the …Kc5 move) there was absolutely nothing Abasov could do to push for more.
You’re the best! Cheers.
12 magnus’ games
0 caruana’s games
Greatest chess content ever.
How have we gone the entirety of the world cup without seeing a Fabi game... I get that its Magnus but this is just ridiculous at this point.
I love Magnus, thanks for posting
Impressive Agad!!!
This game just literally ended
Agad the machine 😂
Interview not even started
Agad .. Hello everyone..
Great game. Both knowing the system so well so even.
I thought carlsen blunders on Kc3, then abasov plays d6 and carlsen find the only move kc4..
what a game and nice analysis agad.. legend on chessvlogs💪
Congratulation the goat of chess
Dayyum that was close!!
I found the move! I figured it had to be the wrong move, because I hardly ever manage to find the right move, but I couldn't see another way to not lose. Nice way to start the day.
Same!
Beautiful
Awesome. Magnus GO! :)
One Helluva a game
Nice game and such great coverage by Agadmator. Believe it or not I found Kc4 without considering Kb4 first
hello everyone. Captures captures
Yesyerday's game was a bit scrappy by Magnus but today he played an impeccable game
That was fast.
Thats gotta feel good to be called the best player in the world. Championship or not, he really is.
“Congratulations to everyone for always thinking about the b4 square but the move is not b4 it’s c4.”

Dobra analiza
#suggestion Goryachkina vs Salimova game 2 tiebreak. What a grind that was. Salimove outplayed her the whole match but couldn't convert. And Goryachkina only needed 1 chance
Magnus playing on the edge.
Agad ❤❤❤
You should have timers on screen, like of how much time they have after a move
Pragga op.🔥🔥🔥 Drew a game tat tooo when fabi was dominating 🖤🖤
It was a pretty equal game, for a human at least.
Please release the video of semifinal of pragg as soon as possible
Eagerly waiting

Man, you make the fastest videos! The game ended just an hour ago 😂
As a 1300, I was so damn proud of myself for finding Kb4! :(
Hey Agad. Caruana is peforming well just as well as the others but you haven't shown any games of him. It would be nice if you covered some of his games as well.
Bro posts so fast
I really want Magnus to participate in the candidates!
This can't be one of the last magnus's classical games, right? 😢
I hope it is, instead. Then wait the God and call him with bis name when you need.
The regulations of the FIDE is the reason bro
3 hours for over a 2o days every day is hell of a journey, Magnus wants that format to be changed. He has got a point
@@georgeray649 Magnus is bored, come on.
Magnus didn't even defend his World Championship Champion title simply because he don't like the current FIDE format. Magnus is the true Legendary GOAT.
I still think Magnus is going to try to organize his own tournament contested over multiple time formats to determine his own world championship that will rival the classical chess championship
well, kasparov did exactly this, only i don't know to what extent he made those kind of changes, he definintely broke off from FIDE and was considered as part of the dual championship period before the reunification match of Kramnik - Anand
Correct. This is what Magnus thinks should be the format in modern times.
Magnus is now premoving handshake
9:20 Kd2 also looks very natural...
Hi agad
2nd anna muzychuk vs zhongyi tan #suggestion
Why does Nijat get in the candidates re magnus while zhongyi doesn't get in the women's candidates re aleksandra?
Good game. Curious Fabi is in the semi-final and Agad has not shown a single game of his in this tourney. Surely, it could NOT have been all draws?
#FabianoCaruanaGame
I thought about this too.
Because they weren't spectacular unfortunately.
Actually 2 classical games ended up in a draw, tie break tomorrow
Unfortunately, no matter how good Fabi’s games are, Magnus gets more viewers. A draw from Magnus will almost always get more views than a win from Fabi
Can't wait for Fabi to win this.
Magnus on that Messi world cup run😅
Excellent move by magnus carlsen kc4 to get draw
Magnus pre-moves with a handshake. The Handshake Gambit by Magnus is already as of this moment is a completely new move! 😅
We will see Nijat in action in CANDIDATES 2024
We might be looking at a potential future world champ 🏆
He might actually be
😂 he’s gonna get farmed like aleksenko in the candidates and like tari at Norway chess 😂
@@ndnd7614
i see your previous comments in agad's channel you're commenting about how people are too weak to be in certain tournaments.
1 - did you think the same for way Matthias & Hjörvar in the 2022 rapid WFRCC ?
2 - what about vladimir fedoseev or peter svidler in the 2019 classical WFRCC?
3 - what about garry kasparov in the 2021 or 2022 St Louis 9LX where Garry almost got 1st place in 2021 ?
but yeah i'm glad about what happened to aryan in the 2023 norway chess since aryan helped magnus cheat danya and since aryan said 'cheater hans' or something. lol.
4 - Why does Nijat get in the candidates re magnus while zhongyi doesn't get in the women's candidates re aleksandra? What's your opinion? Is this fair?

Why does Nijat get in the candidates re magnus while zhongyi doesn't get in the women's candidates re aleksandra? What's your opinion? Is this fair?
@@nicbentulan idk who tf is Matthias. Vladimir Fedoseev and Svidler definitely dont belong. Garry is there for fun because of his legacy in the past. Nijat shouldnt be allowed in the candidates, as he is a known cheater like Magnus and is too weak. Lastly, no one cares about low elo chess so i have no opinion on 2500+ women players.
For classical, I prefer watching these recaps. The actual games take so long
b4 .. or after?
The Magnus is here to win

Somehow agadmator premoves his videos
Well played by magnus, a true master of the B4 square

What about a Lichess variant where you can capture your own pieces? You lose the piece but gain some advantage.

@Agadmator please cover Salimova game she almost acquired her GM title!!!😢
I swear this vid was published before the game ended.
At the end,why magnus didn't captured bishop with his pawn ending up with a pawn and the king to win the game?
So Agad is officially not making Caruana's videos anymore!
Why Magnus did not take the white a-pawn with his bishop ? He would then have two passed pawns.
Fischer and Magnus are the best endgame players ever
And Capablanca
@@r.mcdonnell8614 we might as well add Morphy
I guess Abasov's ELO rating jumped this tournament.
At 1:09 the F-file is completely occupied.
Go Magnus!
Technically the players did not agree to a draw at the end, as the insufficient material K+B vs K automatically ends the game as a draw…
It's a shame to play london system in a must win situation.
Thanks for this but why no Pragg and Fabi games?! Please @agadmator 🙏
U missed that magnus actually declined a draw offer, didnt he?
Why not PB4 instead of PA4
At 7:56, why didn’t Magnus check the white king and grab the pawn behind it?
king would escape to f5, and then win back Magnus' pawn on f6, giving Nijat a "replacement" passed pawn f4 - so, an exchange, but leading to an arguably slightly worse position as the new passed pawn would be further away from black's pawns and harder to both defend Magnus' pawns with his king whilst attacking Nijat's passed pawn [i think :)]
I wonder, is the reigning world champion allowed to play in the FIDE world cup? If not, that could explain why Magnus never won this before
Survival of the fittest.
I found correctly King to c4
Messi and Magnus! Same same... but different
