Magnus saw Najdorf on the board & thought it was Maxime playing so decided to vent out all his frustration of losing the AI cup.
Lmao. Best comment
Great storyline!
😂😂😂
"29 moves is enough for any man"
If it was any of us we would say 14 moves is enough for any man 😅
That is what he he said
I loved referring the super engine moves as "Tal moves"🤣
Yeah😂
Been saying that for six years now
Why would the be referee to "Talk moves"? Shouldn't they be referred to as " Carlson moves" as he's not only the highest rated player ever, but has been #1 in ranking for like a decade(or longer?)
(I truly do not know, I am a VERY casual cheese hobbyist, and mainly just watch this channel for all my chess news, and knowledge, so I only know the extremely bare minimum compared to 99% of other commentators on here!)🤗😊😎
^^ I meant "Tal Moves", not "Talk moves", darn auto correct, and for some reason I cannot edit CZcams comments while on my tablet.
@@jonhall2274 Tal made crazy sacrifices for attacking positions, didn't always win but when they did they were spectacular
As a player with virtually no knowledge of the Sicilian defense, I see this as an absolute win!
Appreciate the greatness we are witnessing, Magnus Carlsen a brilliant Master of his craft.
Something about this channel uploading daily really brings me joy
You don't want to play Sicilian with Magnus
His main preparation during world championship match
And yet these lower rated players do it. Imagine beating Magnus with the Sicilian, and there's zero shame in losing with it.
@@cygnustsplower? Keymer 2720
The one with Fabi at least, he mostly played e5 in the other ones. And even in the Fabi world championship match he played 2.Nc6 going for Sveshnikov and Rossolimo lines.
MVL clearly didn’t get the memo lmao
11:41 of course magnus number one, for like forever 😂😂
"You have of course Magnus number 1 for, like, forever"
I used to play the Najdorf in the 70s and 80s and the Bc4 move was known as Fischer's back then. Magnus' handling of it was different though and he made it look very easy (but then he does that). Think I read somewhere that it is (or at least once was) the most analysed opening (probably before engines). Great fun to play, on either side.
After 6...e6 Fischer always played Bb3 to avoid The BN capturing on e4 and after Nxe4 Black has d5, forking. No reason why Vincent could not play 7...Nxe4 here. 8Nxe4 d5 9Bg5 Be7 and white has nothing.
I played chess everyday for the past 5 years or so, and have watched Agadmator on and off. Mainly cause I don't use CZcams too much. But I am just glad to be back on a great episode
What's your rating?
This was one of the most stressful chess game if ever witnessed .Thanks for sharing
"29 moves is enough for any man" really made me laugh!
A game like this deserves a 20 min vid in my humble opinion
Always fun to watch these games with you. Perfect commentary as always
This reminds me of old games on Commodore 64 I played. For the first couple of levels, you could slack off, but then when you got to later levels, you start playing your A game.
I realize that Kasparov said a knight on f5 is worth a pawn, but this is ridiculous, it's worth the entire game! I don't know what's more impressive, that Magnus found Nf5!! or that they were out of theory so quickly in the heavily studied Najdorf.
Exactly. Out of book on a Bc4 Najdorf? Incredibly surprising. Goes to show the complexity of the game.
Brutal.
How the hell did he make that look so easy?
Didn't look easy to me at all. The deep calc to know how all the sacs end up in Magnus' favour is stunning.
because keymer messed up his prep and lost on the opening.
Absolutely crushing
Best chess channel
I hope You 🙏🏾 Feel better Soon My Friend! 💯
It always feels good when he mentions tal.....the GREAT.
i don't think Bd5 is hard to find but probably it was difficult to evaluate the position with a queen but down three pieces and poor pawn structure. intuitively seems tough to play practically for white but ofc engine makes it look easy.
And it was in this tournament, from round 2, that Magnus Carlsen turned on beast mode for losing to MVL, as there is nothing more to be done here.
Agadmator: No one will ever play the Najdorf again
MVL: Are you sure about that?
5:55 "either a super engine or tal would play" man 🙌🔥🔥🔥
#Suggestion. Sumiya Bilgunn Vs Abdisattarov or Sumiya Bilgunn Vs Magsoodloo. A 2450 rated player drawn two matches agains Super GM's. Mind blowing 😮😮
Vizzini: “You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is, 'never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well-known is this: 'Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"
The storm is moving over him 😂
goodest compliment a chess player has ever gotten
Shows how well one of the previous lower rated opponents did to reach 61 moves.
Is there a ‘live’ version of this game somewhere? I couldn’t find it anywhere
#suggestion Nguyen v Pranav, Round 5 ECC (2023)
Please make video on Anand vs Wesley So | Levitov Chess 2023. Thank you
Brutal game
i like the fact that this was played in my country not too long ago :)
Good luck ❤
This game is as good as nepo-magnus games 6 WCC ,that one is my favorite this game 2nd favorite
Im not sure which Norwegian told you the "sh" pronunciation was wrong, as it definitely depends on where in Norway you are. Sure, the word "spill" on its own is always without "sh" sound, but when put together like in "offerspill" it's not uncommon (in fact I would say it's more common, certainly for people in eastern Norway (where most of the population is)) that the pronunciation becomes "offershpill" as that is less awkward to say and rolls off the tongue easier (even for a Norwegian :p ). Then if you go to western Norway (Bergen etc), they pronounce the "R" differently (closer to the French way of saying it, ie at the back of the throat) so it's more natural to say "offerspill" without the "sh" sound there. So it depends on where in Norway you are, and saying it with a "sh" sound is definitely not incorrect at least
Fedoseev’s game today was cool with a piece sacrifice
That guy Magnus surly has a bright future as a chess player!
That it, I’m never playing that opening again. I guess I can choose one of my other fine openings that I have prepared 😎
Really awesome game
So yeah you have of course magnus, number 1, for like forever. agad spitting brutal facts
2:55 the black knight on g4 is not defended and could be captured by the white Queen. Could someone please explain to me why it is not captured?
"mangnus still number 1 , like forever" . Hit me😅
His English grammar and diction has become pretty damn good. Uses words i rarely hear.
Super
can you show the Conrad Bayer famous Checkmate game next please? #Suggestion
“There is a move that, of course, only a super engine or Tal would play”
Amazing play by Magnus. When I saw Keymer was to play him I knew it would be tough, but Magnus cut through him like butter and picked up his toast.
B4! Of course. What else did you expect?
Died laughing.
Magnus is right when he said i don't have rivals
Magnus actually did find bishop D5, he did not like the prospect of giving 3 pieces for a Queen though.
Get well soon Antonio!
Someone will find a counter to this game , it's not over for the Najdorf
hopefully MVL
🕶
you're right. The guy would be Magnus 😂
MVL have the answer ready as the Magnus find out that quite recently
@@HgHg-yp6ft not the same this is classic not rapid
They will play Nc6, not blunder with Ng4.
Instead of Georg Clooney, I can totally imagine Antonio in a coffee commercial. "What else?!" 😊 8:30
it feels like magnus still wants that 2900 elo to achieve
Nguyen v Pranav from this same round 5 👀
Its actually so fking crazy that the rating disparity between number 1 and 2 is larger then number 2 and number 23 in fide rankings. The world champion title really does seem so meaningless when its clear that no one is really even close to magnus in terms of classical chess.
I certainly seems that it all comes down to finding that *one* move that makes all the difference
@@anttiharju3739 Magnus didn't win because of one move, he won because all his moves were excellent, and Vincent could not match that level of consistency. Brilliant moves in chess only exist because a player has made a mistake.
What if Keymer left the king on g8 on move 25 and moved the rook instead? I'm not saying he'd have won, but it seemed like the white pawn could have provided black with a bit of shelter while he tried to get back on his feet.
Magnus seems to be stabilising after an ominous slide into the 2830s. Fide can look forward to retaining its diminished importance.
ikr it's scary when he's ominously in 2830s just barely 50 points above #2
@@hashirnajmi8387 yes, if he’s going to keep going he should force his way through 2900. Then he can retire and do something else if he wants.
"Still a long way to go son"
Take care Agad...
Hey Agad, please take a consultation for your voice. Vocal nodules, maybe.
👏🏾💯
that B4 move just breaks Chess. I've been starting my games with it recently and crushing the competition. apparently it's called the polish opening. So if you can't get them to come to italy for your evans gambit, just take them to poland instead on move 1 lol.
I prefer "Orangutang" to "Polish" or "Sokolsky".
At club level deviating from what top players use usually scores better due to getting your opponent out of the book especiallt IF you can find a book that EXPLAINS the opening/variation rather than giving a jungle of engine lines.
Nothing happened on B4 this game, I assume you mean A4?
Wasn't this game in Round 5 instead of Round 4 said by agadmator??
No more I have had it!!!🤣🤣🤣
I play the Najdorf as White AND Black, but NOW after this game, I MIGHT pay attention to the title of this You Tube !!! 😢
After Rh5+ why not give up the queen for rook and knight to play 2 rooks vs queen?
There over 100 games with the move 9...Qc7 in the Chessbase Megadatabase 2023. There is no way that it is a new move. The first new move is Nf5. Ibadov 2391 v Bernadskiy 2553 played 12.Qxg4 at the Aktobe Dvorkovich Open in June 2023.
I think his database only includes games between GMs.
Anand is a grandmaster and he is in one of the games @@DrewCocker
These Magnus games are above my pay grade.
the b4 saga is adorable
like the mate possible after QxRh5 at 10:21
Not sure why Bc4 is only the 4th most popular move against the Najdorf. In my experience it seems to be the strongest move. Fischer thought so.
10:21 you must give up the Q for the R and N.
The Nf5 line was absolutely brutal! Also, Bd5 is like blinding sunlight on the African Sahara. It's so ruthless that it hurt my eye with its glare!

01:24 You underestimate my powers!
Regarding video's title "No one will play again..." Are there games that really caused the "extinction" of a line? Maybe you can do a specific search in the database and make a compilation of the "most influencing matches in chess history".
“Magnus number one like forever” 😂😂😂😂😂
#suggestions Maghsoodloo vs Gukesh
I will! I will!
6:55 - "objectively it is a lost game" for black. How come? Black got 3 pieces for the queen, black threatens to pick up c3 pawn, black got nothing hanging, black can develop a knight to D7 kinda with tempo - attacking that nice dark square bishop on b6 - and later on black can bring another knight to c5 to stop white's c pawn(s). Black king is safely castled and got intact pawn structure. So, it'd be great to know why, exactly, it is objectively winning for white - 'cause objectively it may be, but "obviously" it is not quite. :)
From what i can see, c3 isn't a threat at the moment cuz qf3 would hit all 3 minor pieces and you are definitely losing one of them. The d6 pawn is extremely weak and if that pawn is gone, white has a pass pawn, also kd7 allows bc7 and you can't defend that pawn cuz knight blocks the rook and queen covers e7. Both of blacks knight don't really have a good move, white squared bishop can't move cuz knight hangs, black squared bishop also doesn't have a good move, one of black rook is trapped in a corner cuz of the bad knight.
Maybe plug it into an engine to get a more detailed answer but this is just what i noticed.
Probably still hard to play as white as humans which is why magnus didn't go for it but to engine its a different story
#suggestion Shakh vs Daniel Dardha
Please do tackle or analyze some of Alekhine's greatest games!
I thought there might be Alekhine games covered several years ago on this channel.
Najdorffffffffff❤❤❤❤❤❤
i figured this one out!!!!!!!!!!! :))))))))))
Pick up the free beer or bishop😂😂
Magnus is unreal.
i doubt people will stop playing the Najdorf.
At the first pause, why can't magnus take the knight with his queen? It's undefended....
Cause there is this pawn push attacking the queen that wins the night back and the position remains drawish
Magnus uses the knight the best
Tsunamis, Earthquakes, Volcanos and Asteroids CANNOT bother Magnus Carlsen's CONCENTRATION during a chess match !
