Kayaking the 1000 Islands - A Bucket List Kayak Trip

- There are 1000 good reasons to go kayaking in the Thousand Islands. I think the coolest thing about the area is how it blends a stunning, coastal wilderness environment with outdoor lifestyles, as many of the 1000 islands are inhabited.

This is a fun episode. I've had some great paddles in this area, especially this year. Scott and his team at 1000 Islands Kayaking have done an great job this year of adapting operations to be safe during C19. The weekly "Paddle & Pints" evening paddles that they offer may have lacked pints this year, but made up with it with lots of sunsets and good company. It's a great place to paddle for sure, and there's still lots more that I want to explore.
Such fond memories of our own trip there. Will definitely go back soon
Excellent presentation.
You've prompted me to investigate access from the American side!
at 6:39 that is called Jack's Shack. I grew up on the Towers Island #14 just behind! Paddled canoes all around these Islands for years. Beautiful. The Briton's wreck is great from the air!
Cool to know!
That is beautiful....Thanks for bringing us along
Oh wow-that is just amazing, you guys very lucky over there!
My family spends every summer up there in Gan! It's a beautiful place to be.
This looks like a great place to paddle, very beautiful.
Only a few hours drive from my home. Time to plan for summer 2021.
I think there are a lot of paddling trips being planned for 2021 right now!
I totally agree my garage has room fir both whitewater and sea kayaks and both get equal time on the water.
Nice. You sure have gone to a lot of amazing places this year. Thank You. 👍🙂
It turned out to be a really fun year of 'local exploring', although I'm still a little bummed that I had to cancel my summer trip to the Nahanni. It's been number 1 on my bucket list since I did the Grand Canyon, and I was finally getting to do it this summer... Hopefully I can do it next summer instead. In the meantime, I'm going to continue to love exploring the 'backyard'. :)
Really enjoy you vlog. Just started kayaking this summer. I’m 59. Absolutely amazing. I need to learn more
Thanks, and great to hear that you've started the paddling journey. There's a whole new world to explore! :)
On my bucket list now😘
We've enjoyed kayak camping in the Admiralty Islands (where you were in this video), as well as on Grenadier Island near the Mallorytown Landing visitor centre of the National Park. The current and winds can be quite strong on the Saint Lawrence, so be prepared for that if necessary.
Thank you for this video.
Cheers!
Great inspiration Paddle TV! When travel becomes safe again, come out here in the Philippines - we'll give you 7107 ways to enjoy paddling in the tropics!!! =D
Ha! I love the sounds of that!
Can someone tell me which beach this is?
been watching alot of kayak videos and its cool to watch a channel from my home area ! lets catch a wave some time !
You've got a great outdoor playground in your area! Hope to get back there again soon!
Nice place. I would love to paddle here. Hello from Siberia (Ob river)
Hello back from Canada!
Lovely homes on the islands......... "old money" at its finest.
hi in mai 21 this year will it be alots courent or to strong ?
Hard to know right now. 1000 Islands Kayaking would be the best source of information.
Need a passport for this trip?
If you're 'crossing the border' and landing on a foreign island or the mainland, you are supposed to check in and notify customs/border patrol beforehand. You don't need a passport if you stay on the water.
@@PaddleTV What are you on about?! This is not correct. Even on the water one must report when crossing into Canada. Innocent passage doesn't exactly work like that on the great lakes.
