Thanks so much for all of the helpful information! We launched our paddle boards this weekend at the lighthouse like you recommended and had a wonderful paddle around Big Tub Harbor. We have inflatable boards and carried them to the water at Halfway Log Dump and paddled to Cave Point. We had a very light SW wind and the water was like glass. It was absolutely incredible!

Thanks for the follow up comment, Abigail. I’m so glad to hear my video was helpful for you and you had a fabulous time paddling the area!
Georgian Bay along the Bruce Peninsula has stunning views. I’m hoping to get out and do a launch from Halfway Log Dump this year too.

Apparently the regulations have changed and you can no longer launch kayaks or SUPs at the lighthouse! 😢. The paddle from little tub harbor is a bit long as our young kiddos paddle with us. Any other recs or thoughts on where to launch?

So much amazing information and even though I have no plan to go to Ontario anytime soon the tip on the straps was 💯 and that’s why I watch EVERY SINGLE VIDEO 🙌🏼

Thanks so much, Amanda! I really appreciate you! I need to get a better video and photo of the awesome straps. I'm lucky to be close to a lot of launches so I don't use them a ton.

Ontario parks are so insane compared to Michigan. Kinda turns me off. But still want to paddle Ontario soon. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for watching and commenting, Travis!
Are you referring to the rules and regulations?
I'd love to come paddle parts of Michigan on the Great Lakes. Any recommendations?

@@PaddleAdventurer yeah all the fees and the advance ticketing and minimum parking. Very different than here where we usually have huge parking lots and tons of access points where you can park all day. Port Austin is a beautiful paddle. Just like Lion’s Head but a little smaller and more intimate. Of course, paddling beneath 450 foot sand dunes in NW Mich is amazing too! And we have so many turquoise clear rivers as well. And that’s not even saying anything about the Upper Peninsula where the real beauty is.

Oh yeah. I think because there is limited space, plus it's a super popular area and they want to control the environmental impact. It wasn't always like that.
Sounds amazing! Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary looks stunning and has similar water and shipwrecks to Tobermory. I need to look into some of those locations and plan a trip!
