I really love how Fit's role on the server is like a traveling scribe. Just like a real historical source, they're rarely at the center of the action, but not entirely impartial either.

puppylover yah, but you could state anything in that way to make it sound bad. given the evidence here nothing seemed too bad. and if you think a majority vote is “educating” them with “truth” I think most group decisions are. there is really nothing concretely damning about them besides the insults fit described them as.
Out of all the griefs this one made me feel a little sad. You can really see all the memories there, I think it reminds me of my first minecraft world.
A story of betrayal, civil war, the and maybe the real Donfeur was the friendship of two bros made along the way. The base was incredible, seeing its destruction and the music gives you a true sense of just how grand the scale was, must've been a hell of a decision to get rid of but it is honestly more oddly wholesome seeing one guy give up his creation this grand cause he valued his friendship with his friend. Incrediblee

10:04 Fit said that Herm was a fan of aesthetic ruins. I wonder if it might be interesting to make a structure such that common methods of griefing will leave interesting looking ruins. Fire will burn wool and wood, but leave stone intact and obsidian will survive explosions, requiring tedious manual labor to remove.
Imagine putting an obsidian skull/skeleton inside a wool-covered statue, so that you have a black skull overlooking charred ruins after a fire. Other partial frames of obsidian and thick somewhat blast resistant stone/endstone could be set so an insufficiently thorough griefer would leave something suitably brutal. This won't really help vs lava-casts, of course.
Every build on 2b2t is destined for destruction. Might be nice to leave a pretty corpse.

Like in Metal Gear PW, when one of the PCs assistants told him about some monuments. He could only imagine using them as cover during a firefight, or destroying them to prevent an opponent's advantage, and couldn't think of any other reason people would care about them.
This is one of my favorite Fit videos. It comes with the whole package: storytelling, nuances, base touring, griefing, and videogame politics. Amazing.

the thing is, fit makes his living through this. However, many people playing make nothing, so they should just purely have fun and not take it that serious. However, on a second thought, many great things happen because people took small, silly things too seriously :)
@@SincoolKira True but happiness is arguably the most important thing in life and should be taken seriously - so in a way they might have ever right to take their server/group seriously when it's their 'safe place' from the stresses of real life. Not everyone's source of fun is casual gaming, taking things seriously can be much more fun in the right situation. Look at it this way, they're not a cult who take the game too seriously, they're a group of friends who take their friendship seriously.

I've got a feeling that that was intentional. Hermi wanted the ruins left for people to explore. There's obviously a time delay between when this happened and when it's posted. I'd assume that the stash was already rifled thru and emptied before posting this video, with the XYZ posted so that viewers could go to the ruins
i was just at the base and the dupe stash is gone but the building next to it is still in a good shape
