I can just imagine, him just guarding the base, walking around peacefully and tending the monastary. And then one day the figure he's seen in the ancient scriptures appears, almost god-like.
i had something similar happen to me when i first started going onto anarchy servers. i saw a well kept up castle and decided to live in it and kept it up for about 3-4 months. i forgot to go back on for awhile and found that someone else had taken claim to it. not nearly as impressive- but still- i love looking at history of servers to see what theyve gone through.

Incredible how accurate Minecraft represents human kind: the only stuff that endure centuries are the constructions. Some people live in it, others destroy it, others rebuild it.
damn. That's deep. I saw another comment on here about how the Monastery lasted, in minecraft years, 576 or something. It's wild to think about how all this happens on this server, this rise and fall of empires, mercenary companies, king and cities. I feel like I'm missing out on something, with its short days and quick active abilities, can make you feel almost immortal as you witness all of this. A shame minecraft nature doesn't take hold of hold constructions and the withered landscape, because we have the same exact world ourselves except nature makes things look pretty instead of keeping war hellscapes like that spawn looks like.

That genuinely seems so amazing from both perspectives. Logging out of your base and going back 2 years later to see that it's still intact and that there's some stranger living in it and improving upon it, especially on a server known mostly for destruction... his first thought would've been that it's probably one of his old friends but no, it's a stranger.
Then the other players perspective randomly out running discovering this monolithic base only to find it's abandoned. Reading the signs to learn some of the history and preserving it. Learning all these player names that you had never met, never thought you'd meet then one day a stranger appears, only for you to discover that it's the original owner and creator of the base you've worked so hard to protect and maintain.
I couldn't imagine the feeling both of them had after meeting for the first time

I mean my only expression would be wow I’ve worked on this and protected it for 2 years and now I’m getting to see the people who founded it and then being amazed at what I’ve done. That would truly be an incredible feeling (edit: my dream is to become a game developer and stuff like this is what inspires me and I’ve been seeing things like this often now and these experiences is what I want people to have.
I'm always impressed to see people who know their pretty and well designed base is going to be blown up at some point, and they build it anyways.
Reminds me of a similar old story of mine, (1.5) I was playing on a normal server with factions and after being raided I abandoned my old base, I was walking for so much time until I found an extraordinary semi-ruined base, It was the first time I was so astonished in multiplayer. I immediatly /sethome nearby and went exploring, it was like a castle with walls all around etc.
After I was sure it was abandoned I made it my base, rebuild the griefed buildings, improved the structures, made an underground base, a farm etc..I even made a huge statue in the middle of the city of my skin, (with help of a friend of mine.)
I recruited more members for my faction and basically this whole place was the jewl of the server. Until the nemesis faction of mine found the coordinates. We were caught off guard, quite possibly betrayed of my own. I remember hiding in my room behind room of chests (because u could not break claimed chests) their leader started shitalking on me through chat and challenged me. I remember eating a god apple and going beast mode on the guy eventually killing him. The rest retreated but they would come back eventually. The burden was heavy, I felt responsible. I personally burned down my own statue blaming myself. So we took all the stuff and went looking for the uknown. This time I made sure I wouldnt be backstabbed again. I choose a spot to locate with the other members. And some days later I left for once more but with the ones I found most trustworthy. We made a small underground base. Grinded for god apples, potions etc.
I challenged one of them, left all stuff in the chest and /tpa to them and they actually were so overconfident and ignorant they accepted on their own base, obviously it was a trap they all attacked me instantly. But who truly got outsmarted? I screenshoted the coordinates. Gathered all my followers and we attacked on full strength, absolutely destroying those fuckers once and for all
Eventually we had no nemesis and the hype died so I left the server but never forgot all those memories

I get that griefing is a part of the server culture, but I can’t respect people who think it’s fun to ruin something that’s worth hours of someone’s dedication and creativity. And the fact that a lot of these people are adults makes it clownery I’m sorry
I'm pretty sure the people who decide to build a base in 2b2t do so knowing full well than one day, sooner or later, it will be griefed. Maybe it's part of the thrill...
me and about 9 friends of mine had a base up for 6years and we had the admins help defend vs grifers eventually all the griefers gave up then the server got shut down :(
Its the griefing that gives these bases ant historic meaning. For example if no base were ever griefed then the longevity of the base stops holding any value. Without bases being destroyed most 2b2t history would be forgotten

Even if not much remains there are always signs of people saying they were here on a certain date, usually over period of many years. I always leave the rebuilt portions with a small stash to help out new or traveling players in their explorations. I surprisingly will find people leaving messages of thanks even a day after I moved on if I get a chance to check back in.

This is what students are gonna be watching in history class in 20 years
*2,000 years
When we finally integrated into the Minecraft matrix
Well, think about it...They maybe will have to teach about this but not in history class, right? "Out of nowhere, appeared game with blocks!"
@@ewoly5 we wont survive that long
And this is where you see the two types of people, the one that knows how much effort and time there is in something and they protect it, then the one who doesn't care and destroy everything
The guy who protected the base for 2 years is truly a legend
Ya the people who blow this shit up are equivalent to those who cheat in middle school gym class. True scum who do not realize that they are not the protagonist of the universe
Absolutely. Honestly, I don’t really like griefing because of that. They don’t consider how long it would’ve taken to build something so impressive, and simply decide to destroy it for there own sick kicks. I mean, yes, stealing a few things that you need from a base is fine I suppose {I do the same thing} but I’d never go to such lengths as to destroy someone else’s builds.
@@glovepro1256 I disagree. While the guy who protected and expanded the base is certainly amazing, I can't help but admire the griefers as well. You may hate them, and they know they're hated, but the whole reason this base and so many others are so special is that everything falls apart in 2b2t.
@@iman1001 it’s called an anarchy server for a reason
@@peanutbutter6720 No matter, it still sucks.

Yep

Cool
in 2019 me and some recruited people built a copy of the Space valkyria on 2b2t in the over world about 4 million blocks out 400,000 away from highway. Stood for about 3 months before it got leaked and griefed...it was beautiful.

Will spend even decades to *FIND YOUR LOCATION....*

Me: History.
Friend: Oh, I thought you hated history?
Me: You wouldn't understand.

Never heard of anarchy servers before. It's interesting to watch a video like this as a complete outsider. Like an entire new world with history and wars and factions I have never heard of in my life
This is like the lord of the rings opening scene especially when he said it stumbled upon a unlikely person
Why does FitMC make 8 years sound like 1,000 years lol
that's pretty significant in the timeline of minecraft though (11 years)
It's greater than that in internet history :P We have history of this planet from billions of years ago. Internet aint even been around for 100 years haha :P
1 year in the internet is like 100 years.
8 years in internet time might as well be 1000 years
For Minecraft (especially 2b2t) it kinda is
"Say the line Fit!"
"Oldest Anarchy Server in Minecraft"
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY"
HHNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG
A CZcamsr posting almost only 2b2t content exactly is what I searched for! tysm
This is the first ever video I ever watched among your vids
