The original size was an entire chunk. This, mixed with plug-ins, meant that the server was trying to load moving blocks in an entire chunk all at once. This would prioritize the loading of the blocks in the chunk rather than the players. (The players there could not be loaded properly, so hit data could not be transferred)

One potential explanation is the servers already low tps was pushed so far that the ram and or memory was over flowed causing certain functions that weren't used recently was dropped, aka the collider. The possible reason for it not working at the fight club was that in that chunk the collider function was being called over and over causing it to be at the top of priority rather than close to the bottom like the first time due to the fact the players hadn't been recently in combat causing the player collides to be in last priority or being dropped. The reason for this being the case is that the server is designed to give you the best possible playing experience, this is the reason the players closest to the machine where the only players affected with the no collide glitch.
That must be the actual explanation.
I know this old but this is what I thought might be happening too. The immortality aspect is simple to look at, but the invisibility is something completely different. Judging by the video that was an effect being applied to the player, as there were invis potion particles around them. That speaks of a more critical error than a simple TPS drop but probably driven by very specific circumstances at the time.
i made an easy redstone machine for over 3 years ago that made me immortal on co-op, for the player (me) to become invincible i had to stand in the machine, another player had to activate the machine for me to become both invisible and immortal but i for some reason took damage as soon as he punched the air. no other person in the server could hurt and see me and i could only die from the person activating the machine and from the void. (the edit of this text is just my extremely bad english from december 2022 getting fixed so you guys can understand a little better what the machine did and the side effects from it)

it's actually quite boring playing there if you don't entartain yourself by joining a group or setting up personal objectives. minecraft's gameplay loop is completely broken in 2b2t because everything becomes redundant after you find a dupe stash or if there's a dupe exploit available, you'll inevitably find yourself just wandering around the overworld in the only hope of finding something somewhat insteresting

I used to play on 2b2t and I agree it’s quite boring. Even if you build a base it will be alone and other players will probably find it after a few months and destroy it. Travelling takes hours it’s not worth it.
I love these, they're like history lessons in Minecraft. Tales of griefing, revenge, war and strange video game phenomena.
I always wonder why I watch this channel, and I think I know why. It explores a lot into Minecraft’s mechanics and properties, as well as how people take this game too seriously and end up doing very questionable things, making me wonder about their psychology.

It has to do with the server TPS, your Ping, mineraft itself, and server plugins. If your ping is ass alongside having a very unstable connection, you can recreate this under the right conditions - lowering the server TPS can help increase the chance. You basically cannot be seen nor hit but can interact with everything. It's a very strange bug but very powerful, just extremely hard to recreate. But the patterns to create it exist.

When humans tried to make the potion of eternal life, they invented explosives. When players intended to cease the actions of all life they attained immortality. Ironic.
I was able to achieve this in my own World, it was in a recent update, I made a tnt arrow launcher which theoretically could kill a full netherite player, after a couple tests, I decided to try an enchanted golden apple to see if I would survive, after I tested it I seen that I didn’t die, not only that but I took no damage, I tried it again and realized that I was 100% invincible to every and any attacks in the game other than using commands
It's always fascinating learning the history of 2b2t. Never would i've known that there was a server this large and outright chaotic as 2b2t if i hadn't watched your vids FitMC. Though, i've heard of 2bt2 before, but i didn't know much about it. It's so fascinating discovering the legend of 2bt2. Even though there are like 1000+ vids on youtube about 2bt2 already (people playing it, youtubers visiting it and so on), i still have so many questions about all the things of 2bt2. Truly a piece of art beyond the norm.

This sounds like the plot of the movie primer. A bunch of experimenters making a machine for a certain purpose but accidentally discovering that it does something completely unexpected. They then attempt to abuse it for their own gain
things like this is why i believe true talent applies just as much to games as any other art form/profession. you have to one seriously smart and talented person/group of people to be able to pull something like the emp off let alone the immortality machine. i know they were hurting the servers integrity and stuff but i respect so much the amount of time and effort that these guys put into this, truly awe inspiring.

A similar thing happened to my friend on another server. When we were playing together he was disconnected from the server and joined back both invisible and immortal. I couldn't see him and no one else could, except for people who had entered the server after it began.

Probably like scout's hitbox and speed. If he ran fast enough, his hitbox wouldn't align. Upon activation, they may have moved just enough for it to pickup their hitbox and didn't put it back until shutdown.

Passwords are near impossible to decrypt, as they are stored in hashes. Brute force attacks take too long, so it isnt much of an issue.

If their hit box has moved, do you know if it effects them moving through the world? Their floating hit box encounters a block while the player doesnt, does it cause the player to stop unless they make their hit box jump?
@@Hscaper no the game just thinks your hitbox is somewhere else and you can still do whatever. placing blocks however only shows up for you
So it's like your soul is stored somewhere. While you travel anywhere that's your body. But you couldn't be killed?

But blocks did show up for other players and movement was observed from other perspectives.
It might be rooted in the boat glitch, but one of the plugins is keeping the players on the server and showing their movement to others (hause most likely patched this because he realized)
