1:it's a server with no rules so there nothing prevent them from griefing others
2:those servers are perfect place to do anything you want for there no rules so they grief
The beauty of this *Anarchy* server, and anarchy servers in general is that everything including griefing is allowed.. if everyone plays the nice guy.. where is the conflict? Part of the beauty of this server is the conflict, drama, and factions.. griefers are a healthy part of what makes 2b2t special.
Next episode: War against destroyed spawn on 2b2t, where some group of the players want to rebuild the entire spawn.
Mainly those groups have given up, they usually resort to making small bases in the lava casts
The true war against spawn will be when they start removing the bedrock so newcomers fall in the void.

If you are stuck between blocks while ín a portal, you can’t actually mine. You would need some other way to get out. Like someone not stuck mining the obsidian.

This is such a fascinating channel. Perhaps most fascinating about it is that I am so fascinated by it. Don’t take me wrong, I’m not much of a gamer and I certainly don’t know much about Minecraft. I have it on my phone. Hardly played it. I got into Pewdiepie at the same time he started playing Minecraft. Then this channel never ceases to fascinate me. The scale of everything and the maps the time these things take. It’s almost like a digital ancient Egypt that’s still going. Crazy. So vast and so much effort. It’s amazing.

Here’s a strategy: Fill the tunnels with cobwebs.
While imperfect this would heavily minimize bedrock placement while providing limited reductions to mobility. Cobwebs are easier to pass through than an obsidian wall after all, especially with the cobweb speed hack enable.
However this would ultimately be an imperfect solution to an imperfect problem.
Cosmoniums Comet that’s actually a good idea- and even people without hacks can break it relatively quickly
AspenPaw Arts exactly, as well as providing psychological defense by making people think it’s been griefed. Plus it will slow obsidian placement
You could alternate cobwebs and iron bars to make it even harder to break.
Why don’t the defenders that defend stuff like this just use hacks against the hackers

Why do people want to get rid of the nether highways? They are the server's lifeblood. If they are destroyed, then 2b2t's infrastructure will be ruined and travel on the server will grind to a halt, which isn't saying much when travel on the server is slow enough as it is.

There seems to be a simple solution: change the height of the roads. Use the griefers' methods to build a copy of the roads, above or beneath them. If you were to automate creation of 5 or 6 layers, it would become much more annoying for them to plug them up.
Ultimately, this is a war of man-hours, as I see it. You need to achieve more value with your actions than the enemy can with theirs. They don't have an unlimited amount of time, and so long as you have the greater numbers, you should be able to wear them out.
Otherwise, it's simply a war of attrition that requires you having many more times the people clearing the roads, as filling them up. Or a permanent guard force. But I dont know what the economy is like on 2b2t, and whether the roads create any value other than aesthetics, that could be used to fund maintenance/defense of the roads.

Although, yet again I know it would be incredibly difficult and slow to do this and very easy to be grieved while trying to place the Block 36
