- After 3 years of playing on 2b2t, I never made the journey to the world border. Until now. Let's figure out together if it's actually worth it to travel there.

Its interesting go think that after over a decade of pure chaos, there still exists a far away place were one can relax in an oaken planes biome, build a cabin, and objectively live in relative peace
Its even more crazier to think that thousands of players have traveled the land before you, every build has a story big or small. The artifacts that people have hold juicy history behind it
I would build way far out there and then deep underground. Leave buried treasures and then build signs pointing to clues.

*cha cha real smooth*

Like I just need to watch this single video to see Minecraft is so much more than just a game. You just see years of history everywhere on this server.
People spening hundreds or thousands of hours of their lifes to build stuff in this world like the frickin slap valley or well the obsidian bridge.
And really nice of you to show the before/after screenshots on your journey.
I love how you put the Divinity Original Sin music in the background and literally no one noticed. That music really pushes the nostalgia buttons.
*I dont need sleep, I NEED ANSWERS*
Love the Divinity 2 Original Sin and Octopath Traveler tracks, such a nice atmosphere
It's actually really cool how everything got destroyed. Forgotten in time, with storys and friendships we will never know off.
seeing remnants of old minecraft builds, players, glitches, really makes you feel something.
Haven't been on 2b2t in many years (since about 1.6) and It's amazing to see a highway that stretches all the way to the end of the world. I remeber the old days of the Obsidian Highway project and the achievement of 50k blocks out. I haven't been able to get on the server because of the ammount of players. But it was nice to see how far the IIS was able to get and it's nice to see the HWU take over.
Congrats Sal! I cant believe that you were so dedicated to make this video! This really says a lot about how much your channel and your fan base are important to you!
It's just wild that things that far out exist and someone had to build them and place the signs and do milestones, the history is the most interesting part here and I've never even played myself, it's truly interesting to just think about someone somewhere at least 6 years ago made it out there and who knows how long they went.
not only have i travelled on that highway a lot in the past, but the guild wars music in the background.. EXTREME NOSTALGIA
Ah yes Guild wars music, music of my childhood.
I'm glad someone else noticed.
Thought i was the only one. Wwas a nice trip down memory lane.
Oh yeah, what a wonderful game
Yes! It just punched me in the heart with the nostalgia feels! Boy I wish they had continued building that game up!
Favorite game ever.
i hope one day sal makes like an hour long video and the intro just says "a salc1 minecraft long"
I love the things on the way on the highway and the tunnel, like theres so much to explore
13:24 when people talk about "liminal spaces," THIS is what i think about. lonely places, places that were built for people like you, by someone you'll probably never meet, a long, long time ago-- you don't kmow when, but it makes you wonder how long it's been since the last person passed through, and it makes you wonder if you'd see someone else if you waited long enough.
Wow, Sal must have a lot of patience, this is one amazing video!
I feel the one of the best/most exciting parts of 2b2t is actually the community, there’s highway builders, map artists, normal players, builders, modders/hacked client makers, and the most exciting: *lore*
this is a hilarious comment
Hearing the old explosion sound and the “oh” hurt sound is so nostalgic
The music at 13:40 perfectly encapsulates the feeling of facing a seemingly infinite void. I love it.

Even all of this already forgotten since 2012, sometimes people always want to discover this old history. And it surely worth it seeing every history server.
Thanks god, Sal just uploaded.
