- This footage is from Day 2 (October 19, 1979) of the Tusk Tour Rehearsals in Los Angeles. Strictly for entertainment purposes only. A little better quality than those videos already posted by another user (there's some pretty good close-ups here). ~ I bet Stevie is glad that they decided for the tour to have Lindsey go to HER microphone instead of her having to run over to his then back to hers.

Probably about as much as SHE enjoyed singing harmony on ''Go Your Own Way"". But she is NOT singing TO Lindsey. She's telling him to ''come up'' on the guitar.LOL!
Yes...it is so innocent..and he doesn't even look at her...everytime I watch this I always want to know the story of what was happening that particular day..for her wanting him fired now (2018) if he was like this yes(😉) but sometimes he was just as sweet to her on stage..Oh I guess we will never know the whole story.😖
This song isn’t about Mick. It’s about Lindsey. Stevie even said so herself. “Angel is not about Mick and I will die on this hill.”

and she's wearing Lindsey's coat blazer...I guess she was cold on stage. I believe in this era Stevie was trying very hard to get Lindsey back (just my opinion). I know he was with Carol Ann Harris but I assure you Stevie could still have her way with Lindsey (lol).

Lol...trust me, I don't care what Lindsey admits to, Carol Ann Harris' sole purpose was to piss Stevie off or make her jealous. What he didn't anticipate was Stevie owning his ass on the stage and he couldn't resist. By all accounts, they (Lindsey and Stevie) were very much together and in love during their performances. Off stage separated on stage married!
hmmm..Lindsey NEVER EVER fails to mention how good their two part harmonies are..and right there at 2.45 I think he gets off on it a bit.
With all the old past resentments , they still rehearse, do concerts , must have been hard but they did it , i hope for a buckingham Nicks again but it is just a dream
Compared to the end product on the video 1979 Angel St. Louis Live this is waaaaay too slow. he St. Louis video was just awesome. They all sounded GREAT!!
Just rehearsal time here. ST. Louis was the best ever performance, absolutely loved it!!!! First time I heard the song and watched the video & just loved the song & energy... 👍

Supposedly, this song was about Mick. I think Most of her song were about Lindsey, i just think that she thought, she would sound silly and a little obsessive if she confessed that her songs were actually about Lindsey.

Yes, I agree…but I guess even if it’s true she originally wrote the song about Mick, when it came to performing it, she focused it totally on Lindsey. She could hardly take her eyes off him. And note how she runs over to his mic and tries to make him look at her when they’re singing. Maybe the clue is is in something Lindsey once said in interview - that though they were too different to be truly friends, there was never any problem between them physically…in other words, they more or less always found each other irresistibly attractive and sexy.
@@judyward5341 That is absolutely true, as lovers, they were very much made for one another. Stevie has cited her best years with Lindsey, was when they had nothing. One room apartment with only a mattress on the floor and each other! She references this memory in “Gypsy.”
Interesting that Lindsay and Stevie supposedly hated each other at this point and intentionally found ways to make each other an integral singing part on many songs on the Tusk album with their two part harmonies.

She smiled so gently at him..girs yo his mic because he will not go to hers..and iy again makes me WONDER ..with everything that has happened with Lindsay and the band..(him being fired that is) it makes me wonder if these are the things he did..and quite often as Mick said in an interview. Tension..as he stated. She Stevie is so adorable here smiling and watching his face and trying to get him to just smile..and to no avail..makes you wonder what had happened prior during the day.
@Melissa - actually in many of the live versions of "Angel" on the Tusk tour Stevie and Lindsey shared the mic. There are some CZcams videos of it. In those videos, it's Lindsey who wanders over to her mic and the crowd goes absolutely nuts. On another note, Lindsey was fired because he was found to be uncompromising and critical of Stevie, which by that time she was just tired of it. Even in a post interview after the firing, Lindsey openly admits there is still a lot of love between Stevie and him (they have a fragmented relationship). Look for him to be back in the Mac for a final tour soon, as it seems he has fully recovered from his heart surgery, as well as his voice.

If they do have a final tour with Lindsey, I will definitely be going. I only saw Stevie Nick's in concert about 2.5 years ago in New Orleans. I enjoyed the concert, tickets were high for the seats we got. Made the best of it. I could really only see her on the 2 small television screens next to the stage. They need to lower ticket prices, so we can get better seats upfront. It was at the Smoothie King Center. Never saw them together as a group with or without Lindsey. Was hyped to see them last when Lindsey was in, until he got fired. I opted out!! Do love Tom Petty & his bandmates though, but just not the same without Lindsey for me anyway. Also wish I could have seen them for the Rumours or Tusk tour!! Would have loved to see them young & vibrant..
Julie Anne Shephard - I have seen them together (FM) and on their solo perspective solo tours (Stevie and Lindsey) many times over the years. By far, for me, Lindsey’s solo live performances are magical and very intimate. I always pay top dollar for his shows to get close to the stage. I have touched his boots, guitar, hand, at different venues! Needless to say, there is now a very small chance (doubtful) he’ll ever return back to Fleetwood Mac. I believe it’s because he sued the band for “wrongful termination and breach of contract.” The lawsuit is rumored to have been 10-12million settlement! Will see. They aren’t getting any younger and eventually they’ll stop performing altogether.
@@stannis768 I believe you are right about price because Lindsey's wife said he was due to make about 14 million on the tour. I wish they would lay down there differences too.
@@michele21auntiem Unfortunately, the future is very unclear/uncertain. Lindsey just sold all the rights to his music catalog for an undisclosed price to a company called “Hipgnosis.” He’s 71 and probably looking to “hang it up” in the next few years. I do know he has one more new record/music waiting to be released. Along with a solo tour (short one). The pandemic set back a lot of things. I saw Lindsey on 12/05 on a “zoom” type performance that was streamed live from his home studio. He played for about an hour (solo guitar performance) 9-10 songs. There is no question he’s in good form. As far as, reconnecting with FM....I think Lindsey would like nothing better but he’s not looking for it. He’s gone his “own way” and he appears to be over it.
