I have always admired and loved Stevie Nicks. Her Bella Donna album was my go to music in the early eighties, during my first year in the Air Force. I have never seen her in concert, although I have always wanted to. Even now, since I am a “grown-up,” the ticket prices for her current tour what is left of them, are astronomical. I wish she could perform at a more intimate music hall, such as The Birchmere, VA, Wind Creek, PA, and or Scottish Rite, NJ. Her songs never get old or tiresome. It is that raw emotion and energy that jumps off the recordings, that stops you, and makes you listen.

Mac were the consummate professionals. If you closed your eyes at their concert and just listened, you'd understand their greatness. They were flawless! Lindsay was the perfect front man and Stevie brought the mystique. Christy set up left of the stage mixing into the background for a majority of the show until the spotlight hit her! She was the change of pace that brought the crowd out of the trance Stevie put them in. Mick was always Tribal on the drums and lived on the edge of bizarre! Not many give him credit for being a great drummer but damn he was so original and next to Keith Moon used displacement and chokes better than anyone. He was a madman who delivered perfection every time out. So, while we enjoyed Micks penchant for the bizarre you know it had to make John's bass play a logistical nightmare when it came to picking up on the pulse of Micks drumming. @@toshikotanaka3249 that is a very condescending comment. A beautiful voice doesn’t need to have a wide range. What about Karen Carpenter? @@tonyjedioftheforest1364 "What about Karen Carpenter?" Carpenter was a contralto with a three octave range, quite impressive. In 1986 or 1987, can't remember, I was taking a car service from my office in Wheat Ridge Colorado to the airport, the driver had a message enroute and he asked if we could stop and pick up a lady passenger as her limo had car trouble and she was going to be late to the airport herself. That's how I met Stevie Nicks and have been a fan ever since
I became an AM-FM Rock Radio Dj at the ripe old age of 14 in 1974. For me FMac came on the scene With 'Rhiannon' the summer of 1976, the Bicentennial year. We played the crap outta that song all summer long. Then 'Go Your Own Way' in winter. oh, but 1977 started off just fantastically with "Dreams" off the "Rumours" album with Stevie on the vocals. They had other songs come off that HUGE album for that year and we went right on to "Tusk", & "Mirage" in 1979 and '82. Then in 1981 Stevie began her own SOLO career by partnering a song with Tom Petty. (Actually she did background vocals for John Stewart on his album that produced four singles, Midnight Wind being one of the best) But 1982 is when she did it all on her own with "Edge of Seventeen" and my , GOD! What a rock song! MTV was a brand new thing then and get this: it played VIDEOS! Stevie was the biggest, most sought after singer in rotation. I feel SO fortunate to have had my teens in the 70's and 20's in the 80's. Ther is really no rock music being made anymore. You can tell because the local classic rock station is tuck with only the stuff from about 1974 to around 1993 or so. Stuff before is too old it seems and when the hair bands died out by 93 rock went into grunge, Seattle flannel and then the God awful 2000's. Stevie was just one of the superstar powerhouses of the 80's on her own and FM was there too but most of their really best songs were Stevie creations. I think Rock is all but dead, but I got to work in what I think was it's heyday for about 10 years, 74-84. She is also a very generous person who has helped many on the side and anonymously. That's the best.
My God, these women are so intelligent and classy. The View henhouse can't compare. And I love Stevie's conversation with them. She's smart and articulate.

Well, not anymore, since Nicks had Buckingham fired from the band in 2018. Without Lindsey (easily the most important member of the band) and Christie McVie, there is no more Fleetwood Mac. These two members were essentially the Lennon/McCartney of the band.

When I got to the place there was a RED door that was locked so I knocked. The bartender opened it up and let me in. He explained that the establishment used to be the oldest whorehouse in Houston. I asked him about the singer and he goes oh who? Carolyn? he was so nonchalant. So as I walked back in the courtyard there wasn't a single soul around.. Just this pointy nosed little Firey Red head with a guitar in her hands and a voice like a more concise Joplin. I tell everyone that if Stevie Ray and Janis had a kid she'd be it! Her name is Carolyn Wonderland. Lastly look up Monte Motgomery and play a song called "When will I". :0)

Check out Ren " hi ren" a song that is a rock opera Style song Like "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights for Bohemian Rhapsody" and it's probably I'm going to tell you it's probably #3 all' time. If u include Iron man and Godzilla it might slide to 5 lol. Also listen to "Humble".....

Awesome .insight into Mac. as well as that list.I hope I find someone to be in my band with that kind of insight..do you play or just a fan?
I love her❤ forever & always❤so beautiful such a rock star. She is the real deal and a true treasure.
SSSShe started talking in 2011 and never stopped!
I first heard Fleetwood, back in 1973, before Stevie.. And they were great..
Perfect opportunity to tell her that her music is timeless 🎉thanks for the great music Stevie!!!
Always loved Stevie
The Queen of Loose Woman
I lover Stevie! She is so pragmatic! I miss listening to their albums and singing into a cassette deck with my sister and cousins when we were young! We didn't have internet or social media, but we did have fun!
Seeing this is a wonderful treat for me because I havent seen it before and ive always idolise Stevie. ☮️🏴🇺🇲🏴🏴👍🤩🎸
Not only beautiful, talented songwriter but sings so great...too
The strange thing is, her sister is a better singer.
I sat in the 2nd row right in front of Stevie at a Fleetwood Mac show in Denver, in 1983 & she didn't disappoint. The whole band was in a grove that night.
Those were the days in Denver. Forty years just vanished didn't they.
Grove 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊???
The Denver concert scene died with Barry Fey.
Class act, this woman. I loved this.
Class act? 🤣 She did so much cocaine she nearly lost her nose, she was blowing coke up your rear end, she was so addicted. She's had 4-6 abortions, yeah not so classy.
Janet street porter? Class act? 😂
Classy lady! Have always enjoyed their music.
It's wonderful to hear the Wisdom she has gained.
Stevie is one Enchanting, Beautiful woman...
Forgiveness is magical, and our time on earth will always come to a finish. Good stuff Stevie!
Amen.
Where you been ? She has refused to go on tour with him the last few yrs- this is an old interview - very old
@@fatarsemonkey ummm - this was a long time ago - she has refused to work with him for yrs - good grief
@@davidrice3337 I was just Amening to the "Forgiveness is magical" I know about the fallout that led to Niel Finn doing some guitar work with them. It's ok, you don't have to stress over every comment.
@@davidrice3337 It's the drugs. Sorry!
I listen to the Rumors album when I'm in my 'happy space'. I love this group.
My first concert , I was 15 ,1973 Buckingham Knick’s ..the early days❤
1979, my day would jam every weekend, every song from rumors was played over and over, we all loved it
Stevie Nicks Rocks Forever
an unforgettable part of our childchood.......We Love Her
Not speak my age. I’ve Loved Stevie from the beginning of her career. I still Love Her. Thanks for sharing this clip. ❤
I had a crush on her when I was younger and still do. Such an absolutely gorgeous woman.❤
Wow what a great lady. She tells it honestly and no bs.
Outstanding artist, composer and singer. One of my very favourites with such a distinctive hauntingly beautiful voice.
Her voice is distinctive but she has a limited range. Listen to Phoebe Snow for someone that could easily traverse four octaves.
@@toshikotanaka3249 who is bothered about her range, she has a fantastic voice and that’s all that matters.
@@tonyjedioftheforest1364 It isn't all that matters. People that appreciate singing and what is required to be considered a world class singer are impressed by range. But it's fine if you wish to think your beliefs are all that matter.
@@toshikotanaka3249 that is a very condescending comment. A beautiful voice doesn’t need to have a wide range. What about Karen Carpenter? We all hear music differently perhaps that is why we don’t hear many Far Eastern artists here in the West or why we prefer British, European and American hifi too.
@@tonyjedioftheforest1364 "What about Karen Carpenter?"
Carpenter was a contralto with a three octave range, quite impressive. And I wasn't the one who started the condescending comments, you were with "who is bothered about her range, she has a fantastic voice and that’s all that matters"
Well, you're wrong, it isn't all that matters. Ask any vocal coach whether or not range matters. There is an entirely different world of professional singers besides those who sing rock or pop tunes. Broaden your horizons.
Thank you, Stevie.
wow - firstly can't believe she's on Loose Women! But she spoke so well about everything. Always loved Stevie - even more so now!
When Stevie, Lindsey and Chrissie harmonized, I swear the door to Heaven opens briefly, to give us earthbound souls a sonic glimpse of Nirvana.
Even though my marriage only lasted a third of the time they were together, 15 years for us, I wish more people, including myself could just let bygones by bygones. What a lovely message of LOVE!!
mamma loved her music. thank you for giving my mom so much joy stevie
One of the Greatest Groups ever.
I always a big fan of Stevie nicks i love her songs and she also a good head strong and a heart of gold in person
One of my first crushes. That was in the 80s..
Before the overload of information. Which is irrelevant. LOVE Her voice.
Real talk! No BS. She is the queen of rock!
You think she could replace Gracie of Janis? Janis was unsure of herself and tried to hide it but Grace never faltered and was always Grace.
@@cravinbob Janis and Grace were queens of rock in the 60's.
I didn't see a date requirement? I would add that Ann Wilson sings better today at 80 than Stevie in her prime. I could come up with five more without thinking. And oh yeah. Mist of graces career was not in the Sixties. Anne's has spanned every decade!
What a class act one of the most unique voices ever, saw Fleetwood Mac in the 90s absolutely fantastic, would also like to say RIP Christine the band is not the same without you
Love this band
In 1986 or 1987, can't remember, I was taking a car service from my office in Wheat Ridge Colorado to the airport, the driver had a message enroute and he asked if we could stop and pick up a lady passenger as her limo had car trouble and she was going to be late to the airport herself. That's how I met Stevie Nicks and have been a fan ever since
She is amazing! I loved her talk & knowledge!! True love 💗
What knowledge?
Always beautiful. One of a kind voice.
Yeah.....a wounded SHEEP voice......BAAAAAAHHHHHHH BAAAAAHHHHHHH is what she sounds like TRYING to sing !
Had the pleasure meeting her she was really nice, great to speak with and charming, lovely.
Now that is one very smart and thoughtful woman. A person of substance.
Such a legend
Great interview
The coolest woman of all time. She's the queen of rock n roll.
Exactly ‼️ Thank you 🙏 I've always loved her. And her VOICE 💕 She is the coolest woman of all time. No one compares to her and her voice 🎶🆒
I always wan to meet her and I did. She is. Such a wonderful Lady. She was jamming out and roller skating in her house lol. Go girl
Awesome Lady! Kind to everyone.
My God, these women are so intelligent and classy. The View henhouse can't compare. And I love Stevie's conversation with them. She's smart and articulate.
I only had 2 posters on my wall in the mid late 70’s. One was Stevie Nicks, the other was Linda Ronstadt...
Best and most honest interview. So honest and humble.
❤ I love Stevie Nicks
Me too.❤🤟🤗💯
Waddy has been a God-send--the guy is one of the most serious guitarists to ever take the stage. That group is super.
Best wishes Stevie.

Stevie has always been beautiful, including when I saw her live a few years ago!
2019? I saw them at Wembley that year.

Hi I had no idea there was a movie like the Traveling Wolberries . When I found out I looked all over to find it. That was October 22. It’s Late December 22 they say maybe January 23. I hate the wait but I think it’s going to be worth it. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 come on January!!
Stevie still looks great. When broken up groups come back together and make music ,,it seems that it`s not about the money anymore and that`s great. Life is short.,,,,Enjoy your talents together again.
Brilliant Singer, Done it all, much respect. ❤
Stevie and Lindsey's reconciliation is a great story. I'm happy they were able to be together in harmony.
Well, not anymore, since Nicks had Buckingham fired from the band in 2018. Without Lindsey (easily the most important member of the band) and Christie McVie, there is no more Fleetwood Mac. These two members were essentially the Lennon/McCartney of the band.
@@rickbort7875 Lindsey Buckingham blew me away on "Edge of Seventeen" still does! He was a joy to watch!

She is so awesome! SF 🧡
Bravo, Stevie! Wish I could do the same. "Forgive each other" sounds so easy and is so hard. But progress must be made!
Note that the REASON she gives for the 'forgive each other' is so they could keep making music (and $$$$$) together. Always follow the momey. Sadly.
Incredible woman and so beautiful!!
Love you Stevie your the best ❤
There hasn't been a part of my adult life that one of her songs hasn't gotten me through. That's because she writes about life and things she's gone through. The first time I laid eyes on her, I wanted to dress and be just like her and I know I'm not the only one who wishes they could shop in her closet!
