She was surrounded by four amazingly talented musicians while all she did was shake a tambourine for a few minutes on stage. I can list 20+ better singers than her including her band mate. Who incidentally played no less than five instruments on FM albums and wrote better songs. Over all FM recorded more of Christine's songs and they charted higher. Anyway, her nasal-gravel cocaine damaged voice and her pompous attitude is a turn off.

Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks story for you: While the band was on a plane traveling to somewhere, some guy on the plane made a crude comment about about one of the females on the plane "having a go" in the bathroom, because after she opened the door to the lou, the whole cabin would suddenly smell like air freshener. Nicks then got up, went to the lou for a moment, then came out, walked over to the guy who made the comment and sprayed air freshener all over him.... I love that story.

Hello all I live in Oklahoma. Fleetwood came to Oklahoma City in the late 70s. I had a friend that picked her up at the airport. And took her back. On the way back my friend told her my sister loved her music and would be pissed when she finds I drove you around. She laughed and got out at the airport and gave my friend her tambourine. When my sister got it she couldn't believe it. She put it on a wall beside a picture of her. Sadly someone stole it. And my sister was killed in a auto accident. Wow this is good seeing this it takes me back to a better time. Peace

I saw Fleetwood Mac Mirage tour in Oklahoma city in the early eighties at the Myriad. BEST CONCERT EVER. I Also saw Stevies rock a little concert there. OR maybe it was Wild Heart. It was with Joe Walsh. The crowd Pushed to the front and collapsed part of the stage and Stevie got pissed and walked off stage. Joe walsh had to come back on to help coral the crowd. Im sorry for loss. Stevies music has helped me through some tough times. Every album brings up emotion from that time of my life. God bless you.
Yeah, letting her get all lonely while he worked hard writing songs for Fleetwood Mac. She started to sleep around because he wasn't paying her enough attention. He wrote the lyrics to "Go Your Own Way" about her leaving him. If he hadn't been busy writing she wouldn't have had a successful band to sing with.
@Faeryn Gully "your a moron" huh? I'll give that the weight it deserves. Nix tells that story about cleaning etc for a while but her fanatics turn it into years or even "the whole time". In fact it was only a month or two while they were recording Buckingham Nicks at Sound City (and were struggling to pay for studio time *and* a motel so they slept there) and she only cleaned the studio, an hour or two a day. Lindsey was also working playing gigs and bringing in money at night and writing music during the day. She'd write lyrics for a song in 20 minutes but Lindsey would have to spend days or a week writing the music and musical arrangement for that one song. Multiply by 20 or 30... The financial equivalent of her input into the two of them is maybe a few hundred dollars. Let's be generous and say a grand. They made more money during that time from playing the music which was 95% Lindseys work writing and 75% Lindseys work performing (singing half *and* playing the music). Lindsey was offered the Fleetwood gig and only agreed to accept if they took on Nix (something they didn't want to do as she's not a musician - a tambourine doesn't count - and they already had a very capable female vocalist and classically-train musician). They only wanted a guitarist and the only way Lindsey would agree is if they took her as well. Her grand input compared with the hundreds of millions of dollars that she got because Lindsey put his shot at the big time on the line for her? Who's a moron? Because of Lindsey later she could put that much money's worth of coke up her snoot in a day! Also she aggressively attached herself to him right from the start as she knew she needed a talented musician if she was going to make a career out of singing as she can't play shit. Their first meeting she saw him playing and singing and, uninvited sat next to him and sang harmonies. She was older than Lindsey and she also initiated their next meeting, she was always the dominant one in the relationship and always had him exactly where she wanted him courtesy of her sweet words and her 'money maker'. She used him and broke his heart (literally, he was recently in hospital having open heart surgery after she got Mick to drop him from the band). He was unfortunate enough to fall in love with an upwardly mobile morally ambiguous self-centred user. She always knew that without a really good musician or producer in her bed she wouldn't amount to anything - which is why, once she was in the band she quickly jumped out of Lindseys bed and into Don Hendleys bed, then Mick Fleetwoods bed. This was within two years! Then she moved on to record producer Jimmy Iovine who then produced her first solo album Bella Donna for her... Later she got together with Tom Pettys main songwriter and guitarist Heartbreaker Mike Campbell (who has now taken Lindseys place as FMs lead guitarist - funny that). I find it ironic that in recent interviews she says that she's now celibate and has been for several years. It's hardly surprising, after all the shagging she did to advance her career in her early years she's probably worn it out. Anyway she's now made enough money for ten lifetimes so there's no need for bed hopping any more, the only way from where she's been for years now is down. And she will go down, already Christine is in contact with Lindsey saying she's not happy with things and Nix just had the band cancel some pretty important gigs because she 'has a cold'. I wonder if it's the cold shoulder?

Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks story for you: While the band was on a plane traveling to somewhere, some guy on the plane made a crude comment about about one of the females on the plane "having a go" in the bathroom, because after she opened the door to the lou, the whole cabin would suddenly smell like air freshener.
Nicks then got up, went to the lou for a moment, then came out, walked over to the guy who made the comment and sprayed air freshener all over him....

At approx 11:55 Stevie is holding a little girl named Elaine (you can see this in a Stand Back video) it was so cute to see her with the little girl but sad because at the end Stevie look like she was fighting back tears when she was giving her back to her parents

I live in Oklahoma.
Fleetwood came to Oklahoma City in the late 70s. I had a friend that picked her up at the airport. And took her back. On the way back my friend told her my sister loved her music and would be pissed when she finds I drove you around. She laughed and got out at the airport and gave my friend her tambourine. When my sister got it she couldn't believe it. She put it on a wall beside a picture of her. Sadly someone stole it. And my sister was killed in a auto accident. Wow this is good seeing this it takes me back to a better time.

I saw Fleetwood Mac Mirage tour in Oklahoma city in the early eighties at the Myriad. BEST CONCERT EVER. I Also saw Stevies rock a little concert there. OR maybe it was Wild Heart. It was with Joe Walsh. The crowd Pushed to the front and collapsed part of the stage and Stevie got pissed and walked off stage. Joe walsh had to come back on to help coral the crowd. Im sorry for loss. Stevies music has helped me through some tough times. Every album brings up emotion from that time of my life. God bless you.

Yeah, letting her get all lonely while he worked hard writing songs for Fleetwood Mac. She started to sleep around because he wasn't paying her enough attention. He wrote the lyrics to "Go Your Own Way" about her leaving him. If he hadn't been busy writing she wouldn't have had a successful band to sing with.
@Faeryn Gully "your a moron" huh? I'll give that the weight it deserves.
Nix tells that story about cleaning etc for a while but her fanatics turn it into years or even "the whole time". In fact it was only a month or two while they were recording Buckingham Nicks at Sound City (and were struggling to pay for studio time *and* a motel so they slept there) and she only cleaned the studio, an hour or two a day. Lindsey was also working playing gigs and bringing in money at night and writing music during the day. She'd write lyrics for a song in 20 minutes but Lindsey would have to spend days or a week writing the music and musical arrangement for that one song. Multiply by 20 or 30...
The financial equivalent of her input into the two of them is maybe a few hundred dollars. Let's be generous and say a grand. They made more money during that time from playing the music which was 95% Lindseys work writing and 75% Lindseys work performing (singing half *and* playing the music).
Lindsey was offered the Fleetwood gig and only agreed to accept if they took on Nix (something they didn't want to do as she's not a musician - a tambourine doesn't count - and they already had a very capable female vocalist and classically-train musician). They only wanted a guitarist and the only way Lindsey would agree is if they took her as well. Her grand input compared with the hundreds of millions of dollars that she got because Lindsey put his shot at the big time on the line for her? Who's a moron? Because of Lindsey later she could put that much money's worth of coke up her snoot in a day!
Also she aggressively attached herself to him right from the start as she knew she needed a talented musician if she was going to make a career out of singing as she can't play shit. Their first meeting she saw him playing and singing and, uninvited sat next to him and sang harmonies. She was older than Lindsey and she also initiated their next meeting, she was always the dominant one in the relationship and always had him exactly where she wanted him courtesy of her sweet words and her 'money maker'. She used him and broke his heart (literally, he was recently in hospital having open heart surgery after she got Mick to drop him from the band). He was unfortunate enough to fall in love with an upwardly mobile morally ambiguous self-centred user.
She always knew that without a really good musician or producer in her bed she wouldn't amount to anything - which is why, once she was in the band she quickly jumped out of Lindseys bed and into Don Hendleys bed, then Mick Fleetwoods bed. This was within two years! Then she moved on to record producer Jimmy Iovine who then produced her first solo album Bella Donna for her... Later she got together with Tom Pettys main songwriter and guitarist Heartbreaker Mike Campbell (who has now taken Lindseys place as FMs lead guitarist - funny that).
I find it ironic that in recent interviews she says that she's now celibate and has been for several years. It's hardly surprising, after all the shagging she did to advance her career in her early years she's probably worn it out. Anyway she's now made enough money for ten lifetimes so there's no need for bed hopping any more, the only way from where she's been for years now is down. And she will go down, already Christine is in contact with Lindsey saying she's not happy with things and Nix just had the band cancel some pretty important gigs because she 'has a cold'. I wonder if it's the cold shoulder?
