Discord is filled with the most evil and disgusting people on the planet. And of course there are going to be places where these people gather. Now I would never expect them to gather in a proclaimed self-help Discord server, but it happened. This is the worst Discord server.

I've seen one disguised as a regular server and it was full, I mean full of cp. Probably 10 terabytes or that shit. I tried to leave but my account got locked out.

The Discord reporting system is very flawed. I've reported people but it's never worked. It's sad that servers like these exist.
It's always been flawed and refuse a single human actually reads them.
Also fun fact I learnt from my experience with support. You can send someone the most vile disgusting message and send any attached file but delete it after the user blocks you and discord can't take action.
Years ago reported a group who all were abusing alts to harrass me and bypass being blocked for a few weeks. Zero action taken.
Some weirdo sends me a disgusting gif of a guy fucking a dead rat in dms. Zero action taken.
A few months ago Reported a child who admitted to bypassing a discord ban being sexist, homophobic and throwing a tantrum when they were denied a server role. First got told by a bot to provide evidence (which was in the email) I repost the links hoping to get a human. Investigating ever since.

Yeah, I used to be in a lot of discord servers like this (without the grooming and direct toxicity but obviously still bad). It’s very common for people who self harm and have restrictive eating disorders to want to get worse. It’s obviously extremely harmful, I didn’t have an ed back then but my sh got worse and there are many times I almost died, even time after I decided to quit those servers. When I clicked I was expecting the average pedo catcher video, it was definitely a shock to see that mentioned. It was a very dark time lol.

i joined discord when i was around 9-10, it genuinely wasn't that bad since i kept to the popular roblox servers but when you join smaller communities it really puts you at risk especially at a younger age

Discord really needs to get rid of that "join servers for you" feature to solve this whole thing up and warn ( which leads to ip ban eventually ) for those who makes these sort of servers. It's really disgusting to see server like these promoting self harm and reward by giving "nitro" for craving a permanent scar.
IP banning is utterly pointless, most residential IP's are dynamic and thus all a permanent IP ban would do is just ensure random people can't use Discord, and not whoever's behind these awful actions. What needs to instead be done is Discord cooperating with relevant authorities against individuals like Heaven to have them put behind bars.

@@pizza-pi I have to disagree but agree on removing the feature. In part, this is a good idea, this would stop a fair amount of them seeing as a lot would not figure out how to get around it and would assume it's impossible to do anymore. On the flip side, yes some would still get past it.
This is something that comes up often in all forms of security, you can never have 100% bullet proof security no matter what, seeing as there needs to be holes for whatever is being secured to operate, so instead the approach is just to make it hard to get through those holes, as hard as possible. Removing this feature would help stop a lot of these, and a lot of other annoyances too, since bots like this could be utilized to great effect in malware & scam campaigns.

Fun fact: Discord has no E2E encryption. They have clear text of every DM, every server, perhaps even deleted messages on their servers, yet instead of it to prevent... this... they just allow chronically online admins to look over people's private lives...
How difficult can it be to just make a single database query for such terms, servers with bots that can re-add members, or just run random samples of messages though an AI classifier? Discord are ether incompetent or give a silent approval to such activities.
they most likely do much of this already, but banning based on entirely automated systems will get a lot of innocent people caught in the crossfire. they then need a human reviewer to check that the computer got it right, but there are so many suspected discord servers and not enough people to review them. i would at least guess this is what is happening.

i reported it do the discord but there's a small chance these disgusting people actually suffered any consequences
but when a person with large following exposes this type of stuff on their main channel there's a much higher chance something will be done about it, whether it's involving the police yourself or people on the internet finding these people

Discord needs to ban IP addresses rather than just emails or accounts in these cases. I was groomed at least once on discord when I was younger and it should genuinely be regulated by law to prevent these people from hurting more children, banning or reporting them is never going to be enough.

Sadly IP banning is not an effective measure anymore, majority of IPv4 adresses are duplicated en masse and adoption of native v6 is extremely slow

This has been a huge problem for way too long now. There are other messed up servers out there that have a bunch of people in vc turn on their cameras and abuse, torture, and even kill animals and pets. There is a particular group called Kaskar (probably spelled it wrong) where they mostly abuse cats and kittens, and proceed to boast about it to everyone they know. The chat, the vc, random people on their friends list, everyone. And some Kaskar members often go to other public servers and perform these disgusting acts on vc until they get banned from that server. With horrible stuff like that, and the stuff that you talked about in this video, it is truly terrifying to think how many other small and hidden servers are doing things this messed up, and how many people and animals have to succumb to this treatment.
As someone who grew up on discord, it's always been like this, and this is NOT a rare occurrence.
I feel bad for these minors feeling the need to reach out to these servers. (or just straight up getting invited)
i know myself was in a simular one, it was one person telling alot of people the best ways to harm themselves, im glad i manged to leave before i got hooked to such behaviors.

It's partly because there is little to practically 0 actual punishment for this, and if they do get punishment, it's also practically nothing.
Let's say they get at most 5 years in prison for everything, they will probably get out in 3 for good behavior, and they will just do this again, and they won't be caught again.
Discord doesn't care about this, they will ignore it the best they can until they are forced by the government (assuming the government even does anything about this), and even then, they will only take down major servers, and will ignore actually taking it up to the law. And even then, it's only for show, they will do the bare minimum and no more.
Honestly, allowing this kind of shit is no different from promoting it.
It's not even remotely hard to find it, a discord moderator can find this by just googling it. (and like ntts said at the end, even if these communities get banned, they just come back)

BPD isn't bipolar disorder, its borderline personality disorder, and is arguably worse, since it tends to cause many friendships and relationships to end on toxic bitter notes because the majority of people who do have it, don't even know. Truly a sad disorder :(
I have bpd and managing relationships is definitely rough. Therapy can help out a lot tho, hope it's brought to light more

The fact that this guy has been banned before but is back at it shows that discord saw what he did and decided to instead of reporting it to law enforcement just ban him from the site knowing damn well he'll just come right back. Not just him but most if not all communities like this. I hope your got his id and reported this to law enforcement or something.

So as it turns out reporting this to the law enforcement is actually extremely ineffective unless you have identifying information like ID. The other issue is cross country investigation, it just sucks, the problem is not Discord not reporting it because they probably tried, the issue is a much much bigger one of those cases being very often horribly misshandled by law enforcement due to outdated procedures.
And I know that from personal experience trying to do something against someone who groomed me, having his actual full legal name, the case was effectively colmpletely cold until another person from the same country as the groomer was affected.

the “join servers for you” ordeal almost makes it seem like discord is aware of stuff like this and since majority of these acts of atrocities happen on the site it’s the only way for them to maintain users
what's even worse is that there are a lot of server like this and sometimes it isn't the owner its the members themselves
I was in a similar server when I was 13, luckily mine was a lot healthier and rather than encourage it they helped me understand things like "lolicon" aren't stuff you should praise and going deeper down isn't gonna fix anything.
I'm 21 now and actually a functionable decent person who is past my SH and ED. My heart breaks for the kids that are falling into this stuff, I hope the people behind them get charged even though I know it's unlikely.

This isn't even the worst I've seen. There's even more underground servers. in around 2020 I was dragged into MAP servers and because I was so mentally gone and unaware of how bad it is, I've just seen, this kinda concept mixed with super open pedophilia and actual open channels of CP. and even then what I saw was apparently not the worst of it from what others said. It's fucking terrifying.

As someone who was in similar servers, I think you should've mentioned the mental illness aspect more.
I used to be in a couple similar servers when discord was new. It didn't have a central person, like this one, but it was very much sh, ed, unalive etc. While “Heaven” is obviously something different, a lot of the members of the servers are obviously seriously mentally ill, and while this server is clearly an echo chamber, I can pretty much guarantee it isn't the cause. It brings up issues, that usually remain unseen, but are very much real even without these communities.

same here, i was in communities like this and on edtwt when i was around 12 to 15 and i wish the mental illness aspect was addressed more because now that im older i know its largely because im very mentally ill was easy to manipulate by those people :/ i defo agree with what you said

I once saw a discord nitro scam and for some reason my dumb ahh entered to the server.
Then that server lead you to another server.
And then in that server there was a text that said something like "share this image with many people as you can and send proofs to get nitro" (that's what it said as far as I could remember). The point is that the image was uhh, well, words that I can't share on CZcams.
And yes, that server also had an auto join bot.

Theres not much more appalling behavior to me than those who encourage sh, i found myself in these types at the peak of my abuse and its safe to say they only degraded my mentel health further, hope these people get they help they deserve because recovering from this is Genuinely difficult and its still impacting me years later. As someone with depression, these people genuinely make me sick. Promoting people to do something I cannot stop, so they can get a stupid nitro badge for a month or whatever is sickening. This "Heaven" guy will not be going to heaven, I can tell you that.
Here in Brazil it's the same thing. There are many servers like this and a bit of bizarre stuff. A while back, there were even investigations because many of these Discord servers were encouraging school attacks. Unfortunately, a series of attacks (or attempts) happened, and believe it or not, there were even INFLUENCERS involved, which was the case of ''Glauciele Smith''. I never followed her, but she was known to have a sad story and make some videos that people thought were weird (as far as I know). Almost every day that I enter Tik Tok, in my For You there are some videos promoting this type of server. Really disgusting.

I’m 13. I’ve been on the internet since I was 4; it basically raised me. There’s a lot of pros and cons. For one, I know how to spot and avoid these kinds of servers and people. On the other hand though, there is no unseeing the two girls one cup video. Godspeed.

just wanted to point out the bpd doesn't stand for bipolar disorder, it stands for borderline personality disorder ^^; it's a disorder caused by extensive trauma, such as childhood neglect, gr00ming, etc. it can be treated with therapy and some medications to make it easier to manage the symptoms.
edit: bpd is worse than bipolar in terms of symptoms, however, you can have both bpd and bipolar. bpd can cause you to be very paranoid, comes with a severe fear of abandonment (once again, touching on childhood neglect), and people with bpd have a much lower life expectancy and are more likely to have substance abuse issues as a way of coping with their trauma.

As someone who struggled a lot with self-hatred and used to sit at a table with a box cutter contemplating self-harm regularly (but thankfully didn't), I approve of this. Self-discontent is a sensible feeling, but the answer to it is self-denial, not self-hatred and self-harm. That means: accept that you can't solve your problems by yourself and that you need help from an older person that you can trust (e.g. a constable, doctor, teacher, religious minister, nun, etc.) to help you with them.
As someone who is terminally online we do not accept him, pass it over to the psychopaths.

I watched the original video but I couldn't think of anything to say, I was borderline grossed out. I'm someone who suffers from mental illnesses myself and I completely understand why these kids join these servers. They have no one to support them and with how social media romanticizes suicide they do it as well. It's gross how filthy discord mod adults decide to take advantage of these vulnerable children. Servers like this have always existed, similarly to the "anna" blogs (pro anorexia blogs called anna to disguise themselves).
I really hope the children in these types of servers manage to exit these hell holes and get the help and love they deserve. I also hope the disgusting adults here finally get caught and put into rehab or sentenced to life in prison. These aren't servers, these are cults.
I've met many people that romanticize gore, sh, sa, eds and no matter how hard you try to convince them to stop, you cannot. There comes a point where these people are so brainwashed they cannot comprehend words, that's why professional action is needed.
I have been online groomed myself and the feeling of not being able to break free is common. You know the (most likely) adult is grooming and using you for their own pleasure, but too scared to tell anyone. It's even more difficult when you already suffer from illnesses.
I really really hope these people get the help they need.
its impossible too get them help, when i went into one of these servers all they did when i offered help, is be toxic and tell me too end it all, and then i got banned. They dont want help, 1 of them even dmed me, but then did that too troll, and make fun of me. These kids are obviously hurt but its really hard too help them, they need intervention in there life. Physicals intervention. There parents need too take there electronics away for the better good, because all this servers do is encourage them too self harm. Take there electronics away and then sit down and talk too the and get the therapy

As someone who did cut herself a number of years ago and managed to get out of it, this type of echo chamber is extremely dangerous and absolutely *will* lead to suicide, I've seen it first hand. It's "very fast" at it too, and sometimes it's accidental as well due to too many cuts that went too deep. This needs attention from authorities honestly, Discord should get threatened by one of the alphabet institutions to take it down and monitor for this sort of stuff.

I've know people who'd probably join these servers and get taken advantage of and it's heartbreaking. It's even worse when you have told them they were being taken advantage of and they let it happen.

@@psythyrella Then Discord needs to be more proactive in disabling these kinds of apps or find some other viable alternative (maybe requiring the app to be verified, but that has its downsides). The join servers permission has important purpose as a way to gate servers behind restrictions other than Twitch or CZcams membership, most notably as a Patreon perk. Discord has a lot more scams and scandals than other social platforms but joining servers is about the only interesting thing apps can do on your behalf without Discord’s approval; it would be a shame if the feature was severely limited or cut entirely

When i was in my worst i joined one of these servers, I never talked or even interacted with anybody but it was filled to the brim with racism, and topics like SH or ED'S were talked about so casually it was like saying "How was your day?" I no longer use discord so much and only use it to talk to one person. The server was probably banned and turned into this server because its so similar. This server was the worst thing i'd ever seen, And at that time i was on twitter for ykyk. Im better now and all i can hope is that these people recover too.
