- Lord, I will not give in unless given $500 a week. Anyways you might have received a random friend request from a person on your mutual discord server. When you ask what's up, they turn out to be a wonderful Discord sugar momma that will give you money just to talk to them. Talk about loneliness to the extreme smh.

I'm so confused how people could possibly fall for a scam like this... the level of discomfort from the scammer + aggressiveness from them + complete randomness are all insane. Bruh, the amount of extra work they make you put in to do all of this alone would make so many people lose motivation to even continue doing it
Someone once said "i work for discord and you won a giveaway of 1 year of nitro with 200 boosts just give me your email and password" and some people actually fall for it
Also there are some lonely ass people out there that might get excited by the thought of this sort of relationship.

Reading someone who fell for the scam, they act like a really sweet GF too if they are good at it. Money to lure you in, being sweet to lonely people to hook them. They take advantage of your emotions
@@Shikaku2 as someone who used to do this (not for money, for fun. I'm not a very good person) I can say that you don't even need to be good at this. Lonely vulnerable people will fall for anything if you make a couple of compliments and show a tiny bit of interest in their lives.
The fake check trick is quite decent actually, the scammer is just shit at his job
This "Sugar mama" scam being going on for years, even outside of Discord. It's one of the many many ways scammers aim for victims, Felix handled this like a pro and gave them a good slap at the end.👏
You don't retire as a surgeon at 40.
60 minimum, and a 60 year old having a son that still lives at home is low, and the chances that you're using Discord at 60 are even lower.
And a surgeon can never resist bragging about what kind of surgeon they are, they wouldn't just say 'surgeon', they would say 'cardiothoracic surgeon' or something else.
P.S Setting the transfer as "Friends and Family" stops you for doing PayPal charge backs, NEVER do that with someone you don't know

I dealt with a similar scammer about a month ago, but it went a lot differently. It was a guy asking me if I wanted him to be my sugar daddy, and he pretty much just gave up 5 messages in. Apparently talking to me isn't very fun.

As a Canadian who has been in the exact situation, the E-Transfer bit was spot on.
This happened to me once. The woman (who is probably a 30 year old man) offered to give me 1,200$ a week in exchange for absolutely nothing. I don't have any cash apps so I just asked for discord nitro or something. She stopped talking to me after that 💀
Had someone try this with me on snap and just killed em with kindness, stupid but works as they give up pretty fast.

Funny story that happend to me some days ago, someone tried to scammed me on Steam in the most obvious way possible (a bit of context, I have my friendslist privated since my siblings are on there and Im not in any groups on steam, so Im pretty reclusive)
I get a random add from someone with exactly one friend on Steam who asks me if I wanted to replace someone in a Team Fortress 2 tournament with a cash prize (the last time I even started TF2 was early october) and when I refused the "generous offer" they asked me if I could vote for their team and that they would trade me Keys (the norm trading currency in TF2) for doing that, but since I didnt get an answer to my question of how they even found me, the page they send me needed me to login in with my Steam account and like 7 major red flags having been raised I just didnt even bother with them any longer and just blocked and reported them
Also I am mad at you for reminding me that Replika exsists and Felix was doing gods damn work there, I salut you Felix
I thought that scam was maybe 1 or 2 people did it once, but this is the third time i've seen it, so i'm starting to wonder how truly wide spread this is

I actually almost got scammed in a similar fashion (it was through email, and they wanted a commission). They basically did the whole song and dance, and in the end they got hyper aggressive about me transferring money to this other account. Admittedly, I'm kind of dumb, but as an artist I was mildly flattered that someone wanted to commission me. After days of constant texting, and me having depositing the check, but calling my bank about it, I was able to leave unscammed, and I told them to screw off

These are also very common on instagram, my friend got a message from a guy that was saying that he wanted a sugar baby and was going to pay her 6k USD a week to keep her company, but we've later in the conversation found out that he wanted a razer gold gift card first for "PayPal fees" lmao, and after my friend was done with that guy and stopped responding to him he kept messaging her every day like 3 times asking her "did you get the card baby" it was the funniest shit ever
It's fun to keep asking them to take the "fee" out of the "6k" they mentioned

And one time he said it's sometimes dangerous because they might track who you are. They alrighty sell information you put into the dark web and even sell your email there too. It's not recommended to go scambaiting in 2023 unless you know what you're doing.

Same thing happened to me. A “sugar momma” wanted me to make a bank account so they could pay, but I didn’t want to so I suggested either they give me prepaid Robux codes or discord nitro, or don’t pa at all. Silence after that. Little while later they asked for me phone number, and when I asked it was for some referral (I forgot for what).
I just wanted a friend which is why I went along with talking to them, but after I didn’t give them the bank stuff and phone number, they never texted me again. Even before the phone number request, they had started to ghost. :(

i had one approach me on instagram a while ago, i spent a week telling that person that i was actually a 12 year old, and at some point he asked for my login info to "join our accounts to give the money" and i told him that my mom wouldn't be happy if she knew i talked to strangers, he said "your mom doesn't have to know" and things like that and I'm so sad that said conversation happened

I got scammed in a similar way due to trusting someone I shouldn't have. With me the "friend" told me about this guy who help college students in return they send a part of the money to charity. They guy did the exact same thing the scammer did in the video. Lost 2k but learned a lesson on trusting people

Lmaooo Nigerian scammers are upping their game but this one is still pretty obvious and they did it really bad for 20 minutes. 90% of the convo is just about giving a fake cheque and coercing you to make a transfer. Somehow they'll treat you like a grandma using a computer but are very impatient in seeing the next thing you do. A very common formula I've encountered numerous times. Seeing them rage and threaten you after all that is the best reward for me.

Got a similar scam on Snapchat, I was busy that day so I just basically said nice scam and went about my day but always watch out for new scams cause sometimes they can be pretty convincing

Unfortunte for me, because I had e-transfer, and without a thought, my step-mom actually screwed over my bank account because she fell for a scam, with a very similar situation as this. What made it dumb was that it was someone who was trusted and an actual person, and it is living proof you can NEVER trust anyone. My step-mom still owes me hundreds to this very day, and my bank has all the information they need from the scammer.
