This Tri Tip Steak came out far better then I could have possible imagined!! 10/10 will make again!

1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp fennel
1 tsp pepper
6 Arbol chiles
1 tbsp rosemary salt

I think its cause he does his own original stuff and lays it out weeks ahead of time. All of these other tik tok chefs just copy eachothers trending chicken wing or steak or chicken sandwiche tired of it. But rhis guy always hits us with something we havent seen.

Do venison the same way as a steak, just only cook to a medium rare to medium then rest.

I did one just the other day and I experimented with a whole grain Dijon mustard rub. I dry brined it overnight then rubbed the mustard in about an hour before cooking. Reverse seared it (oven and then my trusty cast iron skillet for the crust) and it came out en buenas condiciones. 👌 I made some creamy delicate mashed potatoes on the side and a delicious bright chimichurri sauce as a topper. Best dinner I’ve ever made by a mile.

It's about the most under rated cut of beef. Here on the west coast, they're readily available in about any store with a meat counter. I've done more with tri-tip than any other cut of meat including slow smoking Texas BBQ, pot roasts, cut into steaks, or just seasoned and grilled, then sliced thin and served medium rare. There is also the perfect amount of fat for making about the best meat for burgers you'll find anywhere. Slow cooked in the oven with cut up onion makes outstanding French dip sandwiches.

Tri-Tip is underrated in my opinion as it is very versatile. Cook it rare like any good steak, braise slowly with chiles and garlic for birria, cook low and slow for bbq or wet cook and slice thin for French dips or Italian beef sammies. And of course Santa Maria style for the finest beef dish ever created!
Tri tip is the best cut of beef. And the best marinade for it is chimichurri
Underrated... It is definitely one of the most versatile cuts of beef.

Tri Tip is my go too for family steak night, cutting it is a little weird because of the way the grain runs but they make incredibly inexpensive restaurant quality steaks if cooked right.

Ohmygod that is one of the few tastiest looking steaks I've seen on here.
Extremely underrated cuz it's not really well known outside the west coast. It's like the only BBQ that originated in Cali. Santa Maria Tri Tip!!! And it's awesome. It's like brisket that can be eaten rare and is pretty damn tender cuz the bark is very important when making a good Tri tip!! They make a seasoning called pappys in Nor Cal I believe that is amazing for Tri -tip and it makes A great bark.
