      @@PatRMG well, all depends. Situation dictates. I was in the military, and I just cannot afford the toys they issued us. I agree that one’s weapons should be well-built and reliable, but one does not have to spend what the government does to get/build very nice hardware. And most people will never come close to pushing weapons to their limits, so they don’t need to be built to withstand a grunt in combat. 😉🤠💯

    That wood stock is dope!! That would look really nice on my 590. It’s basically a fancy magpul stock and in my opinion is the best shotgun stock on the market but that wooden version is really really snazzy. Great that you are teaching your son to shoot. I have daughters so they could care less lol

  • @PassivePortfolios
    @PassivePortfolios Před 4 měsíci +2

    Looks like a copy of the Remington 870. It's made in Turkey to keep the cost low. Turkey's economy and currency are severely depressed so the exchange rate favors the dollar, that's why the price is so low. My only minor complaint is that the shotgun is a bit light which increases recoil but that can be fixed by adding some weight to the stock. Seems like a great value for the money but a long term review will reveal a lot more.

    6lbs is very light for a 12 ga with full loads recoil wise. but it would make it a fine wilderness gun for carry against bears.
    After 100 rounds disassemble the gun and let's look at the parts for wear and other features of note. How well is the gun made internally.
    But overall it does look like a good deal.

      @@PatRMG Hahaha!
      Well, Paul was using the Mossberg 500 7-shot Persuader (no longer made in that config). I think he merely kept pressure on the slide for when the shot released the bolt and could immediately be racked for the next load. No one would smartly accuse Mossberg of not being generally tough or durable.

  • @CG-ld6xg
    @CG-ld6xg Před 2 měsíci

    @PatRMG I also had the same issue with the stock thread. I did not have a tap and die set tho so I just kept backing the screw in and out. I know, not ideal, but it worked. I went with the Magpul SGA buttstock and Strike Industries Valor forend. The forend fits loosely but will also need to have the threads extended to decrease the gap and make it more secure.

  • @ChrisElsasser
    @ChrisElsasser Před 2 měsíci

    I bought the same shotgun and tried it out with a shockwave grip but it's not easy to aim with that thing at the full length barrel.
    I recently ordered a pistol grip that uses milspec buffer tubes and buttstocks and I hope to achieve a better handling with that arrangement.
    I have changed the fore end to a one with railing underneath and on both sides and I'm looking forward to trying that out. The fore end is 7 and 3/4 much like the Mossberg.

  • @davidtaylor195
    @davidtaylor195 Před 4 měsíci

    I think your shotgun will be fine. Changing stocks are cool, and if that is your decision. I have owned a few different shotguns over 40 years. My current fav is Moss 500, Magpul stock, sling, side saddle ammo carrier, small rail mounted for weapon light. Added a fiber optic front sight(clip on kind) to help aging eyes. It handles all ammo with a breeze. 12 ga of course. Added a Stevens 320 that has a few accesories like hi rise sighting, sling swivels, and fiberglass stock. Its a 20ga, and good shooter. Both around $200 each, and best prices I have found. Note: 12 ga ammo is easier to find everywhere. 20 ga in my AO is a chore. (Indiana)
