Thank you ❤ Michael for talking Boats I love All Motors and outdrives keep up good show
Glad you like them! much more to come, thanks for watching
I'd cover the hole , re-glass it cut the transom down and hang an outboard on it ! That's what I would do ! lol ! You having fun so far this summer ? Hope so , I am !
Perfect plan, consider it done.....NOT !!! LOL thanks for watching
I like the idea of the other channel, you’re a cool dude to watch.
You are too kind, thanks for watching
I love watching ur content eveytime I see u have posted any to watch lol. Keep up the great work.
I appreciate that, thanks for watching
I watch ur videos alot and they are great. Good source of info. I have a 15hrsp johnson sea horse 1974 model year and it doesnt want to shift back into neutral.. stays stuck in gear no matter which position u put shift lever in
sounds like it's time to tear into that gear box, thanks for watching
Great content keep them coming. Thanks!
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for posting a video today.
I enjoy doing it and I'm glad you enjoy watching
I use preparation H for mine🤣 looks like a good one, I'll watch later today
There you go, thanks for watching
Lots of yacht builders/rebuilders use Sikaflex but I use the ole 5200
Then after watching your video I will start using the Sikaflex
Yeah, I was not expecting that good of a result, some powerful stuff for sure, thanks for watching
Mike I have used 3M 4200 on these and it has worked perfectly and performed over years with no issues.
Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching
👍👍👍👍That looked like a great test to find which sealant you want to use one step closer . I always used 5200 cause every store has it around here but I believe I’m gonna order me some Sikaflex and give a try on the project I’m working been working on. Thats the reason i been late watching ya videos here lately . And I gotta get caught up on ya other channel. Safe travels on way getting free new boat can’t wait to see it . 👍👍👍As always Sir thanks for the ride along and Keep’em coming
We have a sealant winner for sure, thanks for watching
Great demonstration I believe all those sealants would do the job under the same circumstances, I like watching Dangar marine also been following since before he built Renko, y'all both have super channels. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
I watched me before Renko as well, Thanks for watching
Sika is what holds together the city buses we build.
I see why now, some good stuff, Thanks for watching
A good rubber seal material, a little thick! ......D I Y shower pan material, nice heavy duty rubber and it comes in LARGE size. Another one is rubber roofing. You dont want adhesive, sealant only. No gasket... put a nice bead of sealant on part and let it almost full dry, then mate parts.
Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching
thatboatguy has 500k subscribers and you only have 20k, and your videos are just as educational. The difference is he doesn't talk incessantly, and you do! I love the learning in your videos, but you really have to consider talking less, much less, it's very offputting.
After seeing this i will use SIkaflex 291 now on thats some good stuff. I did not see the link to the rubber you used for the gasket
I have added it in, thanks for letting me know, thanks for watching
I would use syncoflex.a lot of people with sailing vessels use it .
It is what I am planning on using. Thanks for watching
Another GOOD---ONE!!! Does the neoprene stand saltwater too??? Possibly so because there is a rubber bellows around gimbal bearing Cheers from HERE!!!P.S. Hearing you mention cork gasket gives me hazey recall. I think my Mercruisers had cork gaskets. The boat was in use year round and gasket did not dry out!!
Thank you and thanks for watching, not sure on the salt water thing
In my Ames office we use that sikaflex on water treatment underdrain systems
it's seems to be some really good stuff. Thanks for watching
Nice test looks like you got your sealant.
How much modifications will need to be done a bid blue?
Thanks
Tim
believe it or not, Looks like it will just fit right in. Thanks for watching
@@Michaelsbackyardmarina that’s going to make life easy.
Thanks
Tim
Gday mate i use sika 291 for all the gear on my boats both in black and white it is pretty incredible stuff i just wish it was the same price here as it is there here you paying 31.00 + unless you can get it on special i refuse to use silicon on any of my boats for anything i consider it cheap nasty s***** great for bathrooms and countertops but not on my boat .
I'm certainly sold on the stuff, thanks for watching
you didnt test the effects on the neoprene. it might actually melt it. i hate when i get dropsy! lol
Well if it melted and created the bond that it did, I'm good with that, thanks for watching
When you mount that seal plate, don't tighten it down till it's had time to setup or it'll squeeze the gasket out like that. Also, if you ever have to remove it, forget it. Maybe seal one side and let the neoprene do it's thing.
Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching
